Chapter 498: Chapter 498 Magnetic Field Interference
“I really can’t hear it.”
“That’s really strange. Let’s see what big brother has to say about it later. Don’t panic. If sothing like this can happen, there must be a reason for it. And maybe this reason can be clearly explained, or maybe it can’t be clearly explained.”
Hei Lang didn’t understand at all what was happening, so he kept saying these ambiguous things.
“Now, I think I understand what’s going on.”
Lin Yi suddenly stopped, then looked up at the two of them and said aningfully.
“Big brother, what do you an? Did you think of sothing?”
...
“Now, I just thought of a reason. And this is the only reason that can really explain it. That is to say, the pattern of sound waves when she speaks is not on the sa frequency as when a man speaks. Moreover, this frequency cannot propagate in this space, so the hunter’s words can’t be heard by Ling’er.”
“I still don’t quite understand.”
“That is to say, the frequency at which won speak to n is different, and there is a strict distinction between them in their daily lives. It ans that, right now, only the original sound can propagate in this space, but a woman’s voice might be a few pitches too high, so the sound can’t break through.”
“Oh, I think I understand what you an. Are you saying that because the channels are different, so they don’t align? Is that how I should understand it?”
“Yes, you can understand it that way.”
“But if it’s explained that way, it can explain why Ling’er can’t hear what the hunter is saying, but why can’t Ling’er hear what the hunter is saying either?”
“That might be because his voice line is impaired during transmission, and perhaps the pitches are distributed too low, maybe not reaching the limit value needed, and that’s why this phenonon occurs.”
“What exactly is obstructing all of this? Now I get it, no wonder my device stopped working as soon as it got here; this proves that there must be a strong magnetic field underneath us interfering with the transmission of these sound waves. Isn’t that what you an?”
“If you explain it this way, then it basically can, but looking around, everything seems to be mire. So, where exactly is the emission point for this sound wave?”
“Where it is doesn’t matter that much anymore. The key issue is how did he manage to enter another space? If we really want to find him, we must locate this place.”
Ling’er added this.
Although what Lin Yi had just said gave her an ambiguous feeling, she always felt that having so explanation was much better than having none at all.
“He fell straight down from above, and normally, he should be right at our position, but he’s not here, which proves that there is another fact; it’s very possible that he is in a space beneath us.”
“A space below?”
“Yes, the space below. The space above can be seen at a glance, so it’s impossible for anything to be hidden there. Therefore, there must be another space below.”
“Then, if there really is another layer of space, how should we go down? And how did he manage to go down so smoothly? Don’t forget, when he ca down, he was completely unconscious.”
“Yes, this is sothing that I find very hard to understand. Could it be related to the disappearing beast?”
“The disappearing beast?”
“Yes, since coming here, it has completely vanished. And since his descent, what has he been doing all this ti? It seems as though no one knows.”
“Are you saying that it took him to another space, and the space he is in now should be the sa one that the beast occupies? Is that how I should understand it?”
“Yes, that should be the case.”
After reaching this point, it seed as if all the mysteries suddenly unraveled, and everyone gradually relaxed.
Although they now understood what was going on, the critical question was how they should follow this clue to search further. This was the most important point.
“I think if he could pass through here, then there must be an entrance. So where is the entrance? We could look into that.”
While talking, Lin Yi started searching around.
He took out a powerful flashlight and illuminated the entire surrounding area of the cave.
He found a spot where there was a noticeable indentation.
Furthermore, the stones all around were protruding, except for this indented spot, which proved that there must be so chanism or secret passage there.
He quickly approached the spot, and although Ling’er and Hei Lang did not understand what was happening, they knew from his fast actions that he must have found so clues.
As he got closer, he realized that this stone really was indented.
This was clearly out of place with the surrounding environnt, so Lin Yi attempted to reach his hand behind it.
He found that it was indeed very deep inside.
Even when he reached in, he realized that the space had no end he could reach.
“Co, give the flashlight.”
He looked back and gestured to Hei Lang, who promptly handed over the flashlight.
Finally, he turned on the flashlight and shone it directly inside.
But the inside was completely dark and appeared to be an infinitely extending space downwards. Unfortunately, he could see nothing.
However, the width of this space was limited, and his head couldn’t be fully extended into it, or else Lin Yi would certainly have wanted to find out more.
“Brother, brother.”
Just then, he heard the hunter’s voice coming through again.
“Big bro, go ahead, I’m listening.”
While responding to him, he carefully observed the inside to see if there was anything that would allow him to break through.
“Did you shine the flashlight inside?”
At this point, Lin Yi suddenly paused.
