Lin Jie was sowhat at a loss and couldn't help but look over at Lin Yi, who was just looking at them impassively, while Han Xuei stood aside, feeling a bit awkward. She could only nod and back away.
Taking advantage of her departure, Lin Jie imdiately leaned in to Qin Xiaoxu and spoke, "What were you pushing for just now? That girl isn't even as pretty as you, why are you so lacking in confidence?"
As Lin Jie spoke, Qin Xiaoxu imdiately felt quite pleased and harrumphed.
Lin Jie, this straightforward guy, didn't beat around the bush, and what he said was indeed true. Han Xuei was indeed far less attractive than Qin Xiaoxu in terms of looks.
At this mont, Han Xuei brought over so small dishes, placing them in front of everyone, deliberately pushing them towards Lin Yi with a smile, she said, "Brother Lin Yi, the appetizers in our store are pretty good. You should try them first."
As she spoke, everyone exchanged glances. Lin Yi simply pushed the small dishes to Lin Jie's side and looked at Han Xuewei, saying, "I've caught a cold recently and can't eat any of these things."
The way Lin Yi looked at Han Xuewei was very gentle. Han Xuei, standing on the side, felt as if she had been pricked by thorns.
At this ti, Han Xuewei's expression wasn't good either because ever since Lin Yi had been honest with her the night before, now when she looked at her cousin, she always felt that sothing had changed.
Thinking of this, she felt very uncomfortable. Lin Yi was also aware of the changes in Han Xuewei's expression.
Because by then, it wasn't just Han Xuewei's expression that was unattractive; her hand was digging into Lin Yi's hand. Lin Yi could only raise his eyebrows awkwardly and reached out to hold Han Xuewei's hand before he could remove it.
At this ti, although Lin Jie wanted to start eating, Qin Xiaoxu was staring straight at him, making him feel flustered even though he didn't know what he had done wrong.
But since following Qin Xiaoxu's words was always right, he refrained from touching the small dishes, saying indifferently, "I don't like these things."
No one paid attention to him, and Han Xuei, feeling like she couldn't save face, rely smiled thinly and said, "Then you guys wait here for a bit. I'll go get busy."
After she finished speaking, the atmosphere around the dining table lightened a bit. Qin Xiaoxu then picked up her phone and quietly sent a ssage to Han Xuewei.
"Vivi, didn't you notice how your cousin's attitude towards your husband is a bit different?"
Han Xuewei felt displeased at that mont. She had just begun to notice it from Han Xuei's change in deanor. Thinking about this, Han Xuewei felt sowhat jealous. She had really been too naive before, not even noticing such things, so she angrily sent a ssage.
"You knew about it all along, why didn't you tell earlier?"
Seeing that ssage, along with Han Xuewei's sowhat annoyed expression, Qin Xiaoxu couldn't help but smile and imdiately replied to Han Xuewei.
"Vivi dear, I hadn't thought about it before. I just took it as a sister's admiration for her brother. But now, she's quite upfront about it."
"Besides, when I saw her at your wedding, it was supposed to be a festive occasion, so I didn't pay much attention to these details."
Hearing this made Han Xuewei feel surprised. Qin Xiaoxu had sensed such emotions from Han Xuei since they had just gotten married.
At this mont, unable to control herself, Han Xuewei raised her eyes to look at Qin Xiaoxu, who felt a bit embarrassed and hurriedly replied with her phone: "It was indeed like that. At that ti, I just felt that her expression when she looked at your husband wasn't quite right."
This matter was now confird, and Han Xuewei was sowhat displeased. She only sent back a line of text on her phone.
"She's after more than just my husband, and soon you'll see just how big of a mistake she's made," said Han Xuewei. Qin Xiaoxu was sowhat surprised, but seeing the aningful expression on Han Xuewei's face, she didn't ask any further.
After all, she would find out soon enough.
At this mont, Han Xuewei was utterly convinced of the affair; it seed Han Xuei had not had simple intentions from the start. She had long set her sights on Lin Yi, and all of this was part of her plan.
She had thought that Han Xuei would restrain herself when she ca over today, but she didn't expect Han Xuei's recent behavior to be so provocative.
Lin Yi, watching their expressions, couldn't help but speak up, "Alright, let's finish eating first, then we can deal with the matter."
Soon, the waiter had brought all the dishes. It was a busy ti, and the staff were all bustling around. The service wasn't very fast, and sotis Dad Han even had to co over to serve the dishes himself.
Seeing his father so busy, Lin Yi decided that he must help Dad Han more in the future to prevent him from working so hard, and that he should hire more staff.
He didn't want to skimp on staffing to save money, as fewer people ant his father would be even more tired. Lin Yi looked over there, not really in the mood for eating; he was observing the condition of the waitstaff.
These waiters often broke the tableware. In just a short while, many plates and utensils were shattered, and it didn't take long for custors to complain about the service and the quality of the food. While they were still dining, there were constant accidents with broken tableware or custor complaints about the food and service.
Lin Yi and the others were seated at a table on the upper floor, which allowed them to see the entire situation on the first floor. Lin Yi knew Han Xuewei must have sent quite a few people to sabotage their restaurant's business, but he didn't expect her to be so brazen about it right under his eyes."
After dinner, Lin Jie stood up, thinking they would leave after eating, but Lin Yi and Qin Xiaoxu didn't move; they all sat there without stirring.
Lin Jie frowned, looking around in confusion. Qin Xiaoxu naturally knew that Lin Yi and Han Xuewei must have had their reasons, so she looked up at Lin Jie.
Without saying anything more, Lin Jie could only idly pick up his phone and play gas for a while.
An hour later, the dinner rush was over, and many custors had left. Lin Yi had already told Dad Han that he would gather all the staff later in the evening, as he had sothing to say.
And just then, a ssage ca from Dad Han.
"Everyone's here; co down."
Lin Yi replied with an okay and looked at everyone before leading them downstairs.
Dad Han didn't interfere and, after sending the ssage, walked away, leaving everything to Lin Yi.
When everyone gathered, Han Xuei was still sowhat confused. However, she felt confident about the things she had done earlier; she was certain they would not be discovered.
With this thought, she breathed a sigh of relief and stood in the middle of everyone.
