They truly hadn’t expected that Jiang Zhengdong would give the credit to Jiang Sheng.

The younger generation imdiately felt the affection from their second uncle and were inwardly moved.

Especially Jiang Sheng, whose flushed face was filled with excitent.

Ever since he lost two billion, the company executives had shown him face openly but frequently criticized him in secret.

They all said he relied on having a good father; otherwise, with his useless ability, he wouldn’t be qualified to manage a project on his own.

But the sa words had a different aning in Jiang Xiuwen’s ears.

"My second brother is indeed skilled at manipulating people’s hearts," he sneered inwardly, understanding that Jiang Zhengdong was winning people over.

He led Jiang Sheng to claim the reward, making it look like he was giving the credit to Jiang Sheng.

But didn’t everyone in the family know that this credit was his?

With this move, he not only gained the substantial rit but also gave Jiang Sheng so face.

And Jiang Xiuwen, being Jiang Sheng’s father, also owed Jiang Zhengdong a favor.

In the future, if Jiang Zhengdong needed him for sothing and he didn’t comply, it would be said that he was ungrateful.

Soone helped your son, and you refused?

Jiang Xiuwen was beyond frustrated; he was now on guard.

His second brother’s tactics were sharper than he had imagined.

"It’s getting late. Jiang Sheng, co with ."

Jiang Zhengdong wasted no ti, got up, and left, with Jiang Sheng head down following him closely.

As they reached the door, Jiang Zhengdong suddenly rembered sothing, stopped, and turned back: "Pengcheng, you co along too. You’ll inevitably have to deal with governnt officials in the future, so learn as much as you can."

Jiang Pengcheng, the son of the Jiang family’s fourth eldest, Jiang Zhiwen, was the oldest male among the younger generation in the Jiang family and held a leisure position in the family company.

Jiang Pengcheng was stunned for a mont and hadn’t reacted when his father said, "What are you standing there for? Go with your second uncle."

"Oh, oh," Jiang Pengcheng quickly followed up.

After the three left, the old lady also stood up: "Get to work, everyone."

She slowly walked towards the courtyard, leaning on her cane.

Jiang Xiuwen stood up and gazed through the villa’s floor-to-ceiling window at the three figures heading toward the courtyard gate. He beca warier of this second brother, whom he had never thought highly of.

He first offered a gift to allure, giving Jiang Sheng a sweet date while also making himself owe him a favor.

Then, under the pretense of learning, he conveniently took the fourth brother’s son along.

A few simple words pulled the younger generation of the Jiang family together.

He glanced at the fourth brother, smiled, and said, "Zhiwen, how about a cup of tea?"

Jiang Zhiwen, with his honest appearance, nodded: "Sure."

Though he looked honest, he was no less clever than anyone else.

What Jiang Xiuwen could see, he also understood.

His third brother was obviously anxious, worried that he would be won over by the second brother, and was now trying to paint a grand picture for him.

...

Jiang Zhengdong drove to Lingjiang and said to Jiang Sheng on the way, "After getting the money back, don’t spread it around. Your father will announce it at the eting. Try to keep a low profile at the company and don’t be as flamboyant as before."

Jiang Sheng pursed his lips. Although the second uncle retrieved the money, he still saw him as the sa marginalized loser of the family.

A person who took decades to climb to the company’s higher-ups just by clinging to Song Guanchao, preaching to him was absurd.

Were it not for the two billion, he would have witty retorted by now.

"I wasn’t flamboyant," he mumbled.

Jiang Zhengdong knew what he was thinking, smiled, and said, "They say you rely on connections—those rumors don’t bother you. But consider your father; he’s the company head, and it’s harder for him to manage if everyone thinks that way."

Seeing Jiang Sheng getting impatient, he realized he wasn’t listening, so Jiang Zhengdong smiled lightly, too lazy to say more.

The car drove onto the highway, and at a service stop, Jiang Sheng needed the restroom.

Parked at the service area, Jiang Zhengdong and Jiang Pengcheng stood by the car smoking.

"Second uncle, why are you bringing him along?" Jiang Pengcheng asked, puzzled.

To him, there was no need for his second uncle to care so much about Jiang Sheng.

Especially considering how the third brother treated the second uncle before.

Jiang Zhengdong sighed, "You’re all my nephews. If I can lend a hand, I naturally should."

Jiang Pengcheng felt sowhat touched: "But little Sheng doesn’t appreciate it."

Jiang Zhengdong shook his head, "Helping my nephew wasn’t to hold favors over them. If one gets calculative over such small matters, this family would have long been dispersed."

He looked at Jiang Pengcheng and said earnestly, "Little Sheng has had it too easy, never suffered any setbacks. I too have just taken up family responsibilities; it’s normal for him to look down on as an elder. Just work hard, the Jiang family only has a few n like you; we will rely on you in the future."

Jiang Pengcheng was sowhat excited; his second uncle was almost openly suggesting nurturing him.

"Yes, I understand, second uncle." Jiang Pengcheng nodded vigorously.

Seeing his barely concealed excitent, Jiang Zhengdong warmly patted his shoulder, quietly laughing to himself, thinking youth is so easy to deceive.

...

After work in the evening, Jiang Yiren ca over again: "Do you have dinner plans tonight?"

Seeing her blocking the door, Song Guanchao knew he wouldn’t escape this al.

"You and your aunt go ahead first; send the place later, and I’ll head over once I’m done here."

"Okay!" Jiang Yiren left happily.

At seven in the evening, Song Guanchao arrived at the restaurant.

Pushing open the door, he saw two won of distinctly different styles sitting on the sofa.

Jiang Yiren had specially changed her clothes—a pair of light blue jeans revealing a section of fair ankle, with long, slender, and curvy legs, her figure nicely proportioned and well-shaped.

Her long hair cascaded like a waterfall, framing her exquisite and radiant features.

Her innocent charm radiated from her smiling eyes, brightening the mood.

Beside her, Yu Susu wore a brown plaid skirt. From her exposed ankle, you could tell she wore stockings underneath, with a light-colored camisole beneath a black leather jacket.

The wavy, coiled hair, paired with her outfit, exuded a gentle allure, inviting proximity.

Spotting Song Guanchao, Yu Susu’s eyes flickered imperceptibly, standing up subtly.

Just as she was about to speak, Jiang Yiren had already stepped up: "You’re here."

"Mm." Song Guanchao smiled at her and then looked over at Yu Susu: "Ms. Yu."

Jiang Yiren pouted: "She’s my aunt, you should call her Aunt too."

"..." Song Guanchao smiled silently, thinking to himself, how can you casually call soone that?

"Director Song, don’t take it seriously."

Yu Susu blushed slightly, sowhat reproachingly saying, "Yiren, what are you saying?"

Jiang Yiren stuck out her tongue; she was getting more and more cheeky with Song Guanchao.

"Let’s have the food brought in," Yu Susu said.

"Got it." Jiang Yiren pushed the door open and told the waiter outside, "Serve the dishes."

She ca back to find Song Guanchao sitting next to Yu Susu.

She hesitated for a mont but sat down beside Yu Susu.

"I heard from Yiren that the Jiang family’s deposit has been returned. Thank you, Director Song."

"Ms. Yu, no need to be so formal."

Song Guanchao smiled while exchanging polite talk, but suddenly felt Yu Susu’s foot touch his leg.
