657 Christmas Plans or Christmas Pains? - Part 1

On entering the hospital for her appointnt with the obstetrician Anna turned to Hou Yi and said "I cannot believe you. You let , forget about ensuring my siblings and the children had Christmas Presents and then you go behind my back and arrange then without telling .? Then you let panic before you tell what you have done."
"Anna, sweetheart. Before they returned Jas called and asked did, we want him to arrange for Christmas Presents for everyone, so you did not have to have then sent.? I just gave him money to buy them.? I figured that this was the best option otherwise we would have to arrange and get them to everyone which may have been problematic."
"You took my fun away. I love going shopping for the children especially at this ti of year, now I cannot."
Hou Yi observed that Anna had a sulking pouting look and could not help but laugh.
"What in the world are you laughing at, hubby?" There was an angry but sowhat laughing tone behind Anna's words.
"Sweetheart, you look like a child that has had their favourite toy taken away. While Christmas is not big here, there are still people you can buy for. Your brother, Alecia, Tan, Amanda, the boys, my family and Jodie and her husband. And rember next year we will have our own children that you can spoil to your hearts content."
With that, Hou Yi leant down and gave Anna a brief kiss.? They were interrupted by a voice "I though you got enough of that at ho. And you are going to beco parents soon."
Anna pulled away, turning before saying "You brat, baby brother. I do not know why I put up with you."
Teasingly Jas responded, "Because you love , that is why."
"I am annoyed with you. You conspired with Yi and spoilt my Christmas fun. And by the way why are you here?"
"Spoiling your Christmas Fun. Never, I just helped organise a few things before coming here. Alecia and I were shopping for everyone or Christmas so doing your shopping why would it matter. At least this year there will be no going overboard with presents."
"Brat" laughed Anna.
"But I am your baby brother brat, so you cannot disown . And by the way I am here for two reasons. Yi asked to co along, in case you get news you do not like, but also to see if there is anything dically your obstetrician wants looked out for and afterwards I have a eting with the head of nursing about potentially a job."

The three of them, under the watch of the bodyguards headed to the obstetrician's office. As they arrived they were greeted by a mber of staff and after a practice nurse took Anna's observations they shown into an office, but with an apology offered as the obstetrician had been with another patient who had given birth overnight and he would be a few more minutes before he would be back.
Sitting chatting among themselves, Jas realised that Anna, at about just over six months pregnant was extrely frustrated, particularly at her favourite ti of year Christmas, being so far from everyone. Since he had been back Jas had observed how tired Anna was getting. Yes, she loved work and wanted to be there but at the sa ti the question had to be asked about how much it was in her interests to continue to work.
Despite not being a qualified midwife, he rembered his placent work in maternity and more importantly the lectures Rosemary had given him before returning about what to look for.
