Night Rakshashas were not Space Beasts, but they were so of the most unusual beasts in Oceania as their bloodline already mutated over the years into an anomalous terror of the night.
Legends say that in the dead of the night, a Night Rakshasha was unstoppable. Over ti, Sebastian got to verify that this was true.
Of his 4 bodies, the Night Rakshasha was not the most powerful nor was it the most intelligent but it was by miles the most dangerous of them all.
The Night Rakshasha’s lethal one-shot damage at night was superior to the strongest one-shot damage that could be dealt by each of the other bodies.
This horrifying damage was possible due to the race specialty skill, Assassination. Apart from their one-shot damage, Night Rakshasha’s control over 2 magic domains also made them all the more dangerous.
Sound domain magic was already a lethal magic domain in Oceania, but shadow domain magic was ranked even higher.
Combining these 2 together, the Night Rakshashas arrived at a horrifying package that made them the killer machines that they were.
The sound domain magic of the Night Rakshashas opened new doors of sound magic to Sebastian as he kept on increasing his mystery knowledge of this magic domain daily, it was the shadow magic that remained mysterious.
With shadow magic, Sebastian beca exposed to realities that he never believed were possible before now. Night Rakshashas over the years learned to do every single thing with shadow magic.
They could attack with shadow magic, they could defend with it, and they could create transportation channels with it.
Of all the fascinating skills that he already had, the skill that fascinated Sebastian the most about the Night Rakshashas was the Shadow Travel skill.
Just like Space Beasts with space magic, a Night Rakshasha needed no inter-border teleportation portal to travel between the Great Seas.
Everything in this world had a shadow, the Great Seas were no exception to this universal rule. By tapping into the shadows of the Great Seas, Night Rakshashas could rge with it and move between the Great Seas through the shadows.
This was the travel mode that Sebastian intended to use.
Without alerting anyone, not even his closest confidants and subordinates, Sebastian left the Shadow Realm before going to the nearest shadow border.
Shadow borders were special shadow coordinates that only Night Rakshashas and veteran shadow domain magicians could locate.
Once he got close, Sebastian made use of this skill for the first ti.
[You have activated skill: Shadow Travel!]
Once Sebastian activated this skill, his body seed to turn ethereal as he turned darker and darker by the second. By the 5th second, he turned as dark as the night, he turned into a shadow.
After turning into a shadow, though this was his first ti doing it, Sebastian instinctively knew what he needed to do next.
Without wasting any ti, he moved closer in his shadow form to the shadow border. Once Sebastian entered the shadow border, he saw himself in a world that seed similar to inside a teleportation portal.
The only difference between this world and the one inside a teleportation portal was that instead of being pure white, here was dark and full of shadows.
Sebastian recognized it; this was the Shadow Express.
He felt like he was at a massive highway junction with 7 main highways and nurous smaller roads. The 7 highways corresponded to each of the 7 Great Seas, the smaller roads were other coordinates inside each of the Great Seas.
The 7 main highways were represented by colors.
The Green Mist Sea was a bright green, the Red Cove was a bright red, the Black Veil was a shadowy grey, the Blue Sea was a bright blue, the Dungeon of Souls was a gloomy green, and the Hot Realm was bright orange, while the Atlantian Domain was a light purple.
On seeing these 7 main colors, Sebastian did not hesitate as he decided on his destination instantly. His shadow form floated towards the shadowy grey highway which was at the far corner of the Shadow Express.
The Night Rakshasha race was rumored to be in the Black Veil.
Once Sebastian made contact with the shadowy grey highway, there was no warping sound like he teleported, instead the sound was like a puff of smoke.
Puff!
In a jiffy, Sebastian was gone.
Sebastian felt like not even a second passed before he opened his eyes again. When he opened them, he was no longer in the familiar gloom of the Dungeon of Souls, he was now in the Black Veil Great Sea.
At first, he was taken aback as he felt like he had just gone back into the stone age of black and white colors. The Black Veil truly seed dieval.
Compared to other Great Seas that Sebastian had been to, this was truly the most peculiar of them all as it seed centuries behind the tis.
The only thing that reminded Sebastian that this was still part of Oceania was the sound of battle. Just like the other Great Seas, the Black Veil was engulfed by the flas of war, and like in the Hot Ream, the war here was in hot mode.
The Black Veil was the original territory of the Doppelganger and Invisibility Sea King. He was supposed to be the overlord of this Great Sea, but due to his arrogance and personality, Carcarot Gorgoneon never saw it important to establish an Empire nor did he see any benefit in getting subordinates.
In his opinion, so long as he had all the power in the world, everything else was beneath him, having subordinates was an unwanted burden.
Due to this, the governance of the Black Veil compared to other Great Seas was very laid-back. With no established Overlord Empire, it gave room for different races to develop enough to establish their own Empires.
The Black Veil had the highest number of Beast and variant human Empires in all of Oceania, and wars were rumored to happen here more frequently.
Once the official death of the Doppelganger and Invisibility King beca known, the Empires here beca even more unbridled as the struggle to beco the sole ruling overlord Empire of this Great Sea began.
Even before the world war started, the Black Veil was at war, the world war erupting only served to give them more of a reason to fight to the death.
The Black Veil was well-known for the natives’ lack of fear of death. The greatest canon fodders and battle maniacs were created in the Black Veil.
In this chaotic environnt did the right mode beca set for a race of assassins to strive. No one knew the lair of the Night Rakshashas, and no one knew their leader, despite all these, they were well-known in the Black Veil.
Once a target was contracted to them, they seldom survived past a day. The feat of assassinating a Black tier predator was what really set them apart from others as they beca the greatest league of assassins in all of Oceania.
They were untraceable, they were untrackable.
The only information that after pulling all his resources Sebastian was able to get was the location where employers went to give them assassination jobs.
Once Sebastian confird his current location, without wasting any ti, he set out to his next destination which was the Forest of Woods.
