"Turn into an Atlantian!"
Eliana’s demand was so outlandish and out of the blue that Sebastian almost fainted from the shock that it brought. He could not control his hands as they instinctively hit the cancel touchscreen, ending the call.
In the end, he was left in a corner of the warship, trying to think about what exactly brought the idea of suddenly wanting to beco an Atlantian.
"Did I hear wrong? Why would she want to beco an Atlantian?"
"I probably heard wrong".
Once Sebastian made up his mind, consoling it, he finally got the peace of mind that he needed to officially go to sleep and rest.
To his relief though, throughout his resting session, his comm did not ring again which ant that he probably heard Eliana wrong.
With this relief, Sebastian’s sleep beca a lot calr and sweeter.
...
It took a few hours, but the warship finally arrived.
After what felt like a lifeti out where he got to visit a wonderful world called Manapedia in search of his demon Kyuubi companion, Sebastian finally returned to the 1st Den of Anatomy where all the exciting stuff took place.
On returning, Sebastian was not surprised to see that everything was still more or less the sa way as he left.
He was not surprised, he expected it to be so since he left for only a few days.
On getting back, the reception that Sebastian received surprised him. Under the rallying of Josephine, his assistant, all the anatomists of the 1st Den of Anatomy were all gathered at the front of the base to welco their boss back ho.
Sebastian laughed at the sight. "I only left for a few days".
The elaborate welco package left Sebastian a little surprised since he left for only a few days, he didn’t hate it though, he rather loved it.
Sebastian did well to temper his ego, but at this mont, he felt like a king who went to war and was victorious and was finally returning ho.
He felt like the anatomists were his subjects who were welcoming him back ho. The feeling was so real that Sebastian absolutely loved it.
"Damn, get down evil Sebastian!" Sebastian scolded his evil egotistical self.
With a wide predatory smile on his galodon face, Sebastian took in the welco of his anatomists with a nice reception as he finally swam closer to where his assistant and Eliana hovered at the base.
Josephine was more used to seeing the Atlantian boss, but as the truth was already hamred nurous tis into her head, she had no choice but to admit that the nacing galodon was her boss’s main body.
Sebastian was not the only one that ca out of the warship after it stopped, Strong, Tungsten, and the others also ca out to see Sebastian’s base.
What they saw amazed them, and though they did not exclaim in amazent, their horizons were broadened by the sight.
They didn’t get to just hover and gaze like fools though, after allowing them so ti for about a minute, Eliana finally swam closer to the sharks.
"Please, follow , your family lives this way".
"Ok, thanks". Tungsten sounded relieved.
"I’ll et you up in the laboratory". Eliana’s voice echoed from the distance as she flapped her tail fin, leading the way for the sharks.
Once Eliana led Tungsten and the others away, Josephine spoke as she finally started leading him back towards the main anatomy laboratory.
After such a long ti without him, Josephine already missed her boss.
Besides, she had a lot of Goodnews to reveal to him. Throughout all the ti that he was gone, the 3 anatomy teams that he created to focus on his 3 priority experints were not idle, they had even better results now.
On getting back, his assistant didn’t even ask him if he needed to rest, the enthusiastic Josephine knew his personality and was why he called him in now.
Sebastian knew that she got him by the neck, he didn’t retreat though, he now felt curious about the Goodnews that Josephine was talking about.
On entering the main laboratory for the main experint again, Sebastian was surprised as he was exposed to a subtle change that he didn’t know was there before. He didn’t know if it was because of his changes but it was disturbing.
He could feel that the main laboratory changed in a way that made it now feel strange. He guessed that this change was probably because of his increased mana perception and that Josephine probably already worked here.
It was when Josephine finally showed him the results of the priority experints that he finally encountered the shock of his life.
The results were written in a book like a report.
"...After 1 month of the boss being absent, this is a report of how far we were able to go with the priority experint targets".
"...After a lot of research, experints, and repetition of the sequence while thinking hard for 2 weeks, we finally broke the first bottleneck holding the Research on Mana Core anatomy team back".
"...By overcoming the bottleneck, the success rate for the implantation of a mana core increased from the previous 72% to 76%".
"...Throughout the next 2 weeks, we improvised, trying to work under the premise of the new breakthrough and this allowed us to increase the success rate of the implantation from 76% all the way to 80%".
"...This is where we encountered another major bottleneck".
...
"...After 1 month, the chanical implantation process that was theorized by the scientists has been proven to be correct".
"...Overall, the Space Beast dissection plan is set to begin".
...
"...Damn!"
Sebastian was astonished by all the changes that he saw, most especially the progress in the Research on Mana Cores that he had just seen.
Though his bonded Celestial Beast made a 2nd mana core a little redundant, Sebastian still believed that it was relevant.
What confused Sebastian though was one word that Josephine kept on saying. "1 month what? Are you drunk? How was I gone for 1 month?"
Josephine was confused. "Boss, you’ve been gone for a month".
Now, it was Sebastian’s turn to the stupefied. "What the heck?"
"Yes, she’s correct". Eliana’s voice finally interjected again.
Sebastian turned to look at Eliana with an intense questioning look in his eyes. Eliana shrugged before answering.
She created a live illusion world in his head where she communicated directly with him. "You spent only a few days inside Manapedia, but compared to the outside world here, you’ve spent a month in there already".
On listening to this, Sebastian was surprised as a lot of things went through his head. Did this an that ti in Oceania flowed about 3 to 4 tis faster?
This sudden discovery was so much that Sebastian was left extrely surprised, but he soon made a connection and asked.
"I thought you didn’t know much about the hidden lair of Mana Lords, so how did you know so much, precisely about the ti flow in both worlds?"
Eliana laughed. "I think we really need to talk, how about a 2 days vacation so we can get together and organize ourselves?"
Sebastian thought about it for a bit before answering. "Ok, a vacation it is".
