"Goddess is not the reason behind you—us wielding powers." Seraphine Stormfang,— my sister's master said with conviction. "The powers we have are sothing we are born with, not sothing we are granted. So, stop believing in the words spread by those silver-headed bitches."

I listened to her, nodding my head, agreeing with her. However, I really didn't care. But hearing her words, sothing didn't make sense. First, if she hated church, why wasn't sothing related to this ever heard of? I an, she is a literal DEMIGOD.

So, if she wanted, she could show her dissatisfaction (hatred), and many people would follow her, as there are cults that worship DEMIGODS.

I an, yeah, it does create many other problems like riots, civil wars, and the church retaliating—of this I wasn't sure. But if their goddess and her teachings were hard, I am fairly certain they would.

'Why the fuck do these contradicting thoughts co into my mind?'

I knew that I sounded dumb to first think, Why did she not show her hatred towards the church? Then also listed the reasons that could—no, maybe they were why she didn't.

Yet, sohow, I felt there was sothing else? So other reason why she didn't show her hatred. I didn't know how and why, but I just felt it.

But then that feeling changed.

And...

"Ba-dump...!" "Ba-dump...!"

My heartbeat suddenly spiked, my heart hamring against my chest. It felt as if I was about to grasp sothing.

My vision shook, blurring from the sides, and I heard every beat, every thump of my heart, as if it was beating inside my ears.

What was happening? What was this feeling? I couldn't reckon on understanding it, as I couldn't think. My mind had blanked, and the feeling that I was about to grasp sothing deepened.

What was I about to grasp?

What was it? Was it sothing important? Sothing dangerous? I didn't know. I just knew that sothing-sothing was...

"Oi."

"Huh!" I released a surprised sound as my sister's master suddenly teleported in front of , her beautiful face inches away from .

"It's not that deep, kid. Stop thinking about it." She said, her face still inches away from .

"Ok," I nodded, inadvertently.

After hearing my reply, she vanished, appearing once more sitting on her desk.

"Don't think too deeply about it, hm. I already know you don't believe in the Goddess." She said, clearly pleased. "I said those things because I hate those fucking silver-haired bastards. And they are wrong."

Ending her words, she clapped her hands and spoke up. "How about we leave these things and go back to our question, 'From where does Essence co from?'"

Scratching my head, I nodded and threw useless thoughts back into my mind to focus on.

'Weird.'

...

"As you thought of Essence as blood. So, if we take it that way, Aelmyra will be a body, and Essence will be its blood. As the body is responsible for creating blood, Aelmyra does the sa." She pointed downwards. "The core, which is present in the center of the Aelmyra, is where Essence cos from. Dinsion cracks also contribute, but not that much."

Finished speaking, she once more extended her hands, and the sa thing happened: essence gathered on her hand, but this ti three spheres appeared, two of which—that were present on the side—were fire, and the one on the top was light.

"Essence is a dium by which we use our powers, which you should already know." She said, playing with the spheres. "And with Essence as a dium, you can use your Elents, spells, and a heck lot of things."

I nodded while seeing her increasing number of spheres.

"As I told you before, Essence can only be felt. And you can feel it to a certain point. But that is not enough." She dispelled the spheres. "When you reach the level where you can control Essence, only then can you use your Elents and learn other things. Like creating a fireball."

A sphere of fire once more appeared.

'Oh!'

"We will train your body first, so you can control Essence," She said with a smile. And then her smile stretched, nearly splitting her face in half. "By the way, your teleporting here was one of the ways."

"Huh!"

"Let's start, at last?"

'FUC—'

...

"Ha...!" "Ha...!"

'How to inhale? Fuck, I forgot. Am I going to die in the end? NO! I DON—'

"Smack...!"

A kick landed on my ass.

"Stop acting like a bitch. It was not even hard, just so normal warm-up exercise."

I turned my face towards the voice, and the person convicted for my state was standing there, enjoying my disarray.

'WARM-UP, THAT WAS WARM-UP. Y-YOU FU—'

She raised her eyebrows at my reaction. "What?"

"Nothing," I mumbled, going back to hugging the ground.

"Hm, there's no need for training anymore—"

"Really," I said, excited by the outco. I had nothing left in , anyway. If she wanted to train more, I didn't think I could go through more of her devilish training. And I certainly don't want to do her training anymore.

'But wasn't the training so I can control Essence? I don't think I can.'

As this thought ca to my mind, I felt chills, and my gaze unconsciously moved towards her. She was smiling; the devilish face-splitting smile was carved on her face.

"—for today, that is." She ended her sentence, making the reality clear to .

'Moth—'

"What?"

"Nothing, nothing," I mumbled, before once more hugging the ground, finding solace in it.

"Good, good." She mused before adding, "Ti to go ho."

"Huh!?"

'REALLY,' I was once more in the air. And I was once more saved by my sis.

"Are you okay?" She once again asked with the sa worried expression.

"I am fine," I replied, soothing her worries.

After which I took a bath, ate breakfast, ca to my room, and jumped on my bed to start my dreaming session because my bones and muscles were groaning due to the hellish training I went through today.

As the sheets clung to my body and exhaustion started to pull in, I felt an itching feeling, as if I had forgotten sothing. Sothing that I was about to...

'Weird. Did I forget sothing?'
