The faint shimr of moonlight peeked through the treetop canopy as Eirana—cloaked in dusky brown and green—erged from the deeper shadows that lined the outskirts of the Elven settlent. Her breath was silent, asured. Every step she took was rooted in discipline, the culmination of years spent mastering the Nullcarvers' fourth-stage Qi concealnt techniques.

She crouched behind a curved bark wall shaped by mana-weaving techniques and took one final look behind her. The trail through Deadroot was gone, swallowed by the colorful and radiant Elven forest all around her. There was no turning back.

She'd made it.

Infiltration complete.

Now ca the real test.

The Elven settlent, Ethla'mir, was breathtaking in its design — a city cradled within the mighty branches and roots of the Ancient Silverwood Tree, its buildings crafted not with brute tools but guided by magic and grown into elegant arches, spiral walkways, and flower-lit lanes.

Eirana kept her head low beneath the hood she'd secured earlier. Her outfit now resembled that of a modest Elven huntress—tight-fitting cloth stitched with organic patterns, a curved dagger at her side, and silvery beads braided into the sides of her dark brown hair to mimic Elven aesthetics.

But her eyes missed nothing.

She watched from the corners of alleyways as clusters of Elves walked gracefully along the bioluminescent stone paths. Their voices were soft, like wind through grass, but even the faintest conversation was full of information when you knew what to listen for.

So she listened.

Two younger Elves near a fountain spoke in hushed tones:

"Commander Maeralyn went straight to the Council chamber... she said the matter from Deadroot is urgent enough to summon even the Seeress himself."

"You think it has to do with the intruder sighted near the southern border?"

"Perhaps. But the Seeress once prophesied that this land will go through major reformations, do you think the ti is close by?"

"How would I know that? Am not the Seeress you know"

Eirana shifted further back into the shadows. So Maeralyn really did make it back safely… and she brought the matter before the Council already. No ti to waste.

She lted into the back alleys, scaling low rooftops and walking the thin beams that connected so of the structures higher up. Her Qi mastery let her mute the sound of her movent entirely. An uncommon Nullcarver technique that simulated the density of air—one she had perfected to elude detection even from beasts with advanced hearing.

It wasn't long before Eirana stood upon a high branch overlooking the Hall of Verdant Echoes.

It was a marvel of Elven architectural divinity.

Carved into the central heartwood of the Great Silverwood Tree, the hall rose like a sacred crown of leaves and runic symbols, glowing softly with ancient mana. A wide bridge led to its main entrance, which was flanked by six Elite Elven Sentinels, their armor trimd with forest gold and embedded with living crystal eyes that monitored all movent.

Eirana narrowed her gaze.

She couldn't risk entering through the front. Even at her peak, going head-to-head with those warriors would be suicide. No... not stealth. Precision.

Instead, she turned her attention upward.

High above the hall, just beneath the upper canopy, she spotted a small ventilation opening—designed, most likely, to allow birds and sacred insects to pass through. But to soone like Eirana, it was an invitation.

With a brief surge of Qi, she pressed two fingers to her chest, muttered a silent mantra of "Veil of Rooted Breath," and vanished into the higher limbs of the tree.

Her ascent was both swift and quiet.

Like a shadow blessed by wind, she climbed the outer vines, slipped past a passing songbird nest, and crouched by the ventilation shaft. It was narrow—but she was flexible and trained.

With a subtle exhale, she slipped inside.

The ventilation shaft led to a thin hollow that ran just above the central chamber. From there, she could peer through the wooden lattice and see the Council chamber below.

Eleven hooded figures—The Ancient Elves—sat in a circular arrangent. Commander Maeralyn stood at attention at the edge of the circle, while the infamous Seeress Velyrian stood calmly, his presence unmistakable with that shimring aura of premonition around him.

Eirana's breath caught as she recognized him.

A living legend… and a nightmare for spies.

She didn't move an inch.

Below, the conversation was still ongoing:

"This Endless is an existence I can't seem to fathom, he has a deanor of not being there but a long with my guys clearly felt his presence when he arrived" Maeralyn said, her voice resolute.

"Do you believe the Nullcarvers are orchestrating a maneuver behind the fog?" an Ancient Elf asked.

"Perhaps," said the Seeress calmly. "But it is not deception that lingers in the air. It is… desperation. The kind that only follows war."

Another Ancient turned toward Velyrian. "And what of the boy?"

The Seeress turned his back to the circle and stared directly—eerily—toward the upper latticework where Eirana was hidden.

"Like I said, The Pandora resides in him, and The Celestials have whispered… and they have set a ti."

Eirana's heart thudded.

"Two years."

"Two years to fix a broken land, or to lose everything. And when the Celestials strip, they do so without rcy."

A silence followed that line. Heavy. Irrefutable.

And then—

"That said…" Velyrian continued in a soft, almost curious tone, "...the intruder has arrived."

Eirana froze.

He hadn't moved.

He hadn't looked up.

But he knew.

"Why don't you co down and introduce yourself," Velyrian murmured.

The Ancient Elves said nothing. None of them moved to act. None gave chase. It was as if the chamber itself accepted her presence now… as part of the prophecy that was unfolding.

From her hidden perch, Eirana swallowed as she thought.

'What… did I just walk into?'

Although she knew that what she was about to do is going to be the riskiest thing she has done in her life so far, she didn't expect to be caught so soon.

Then, it happened.

From above the curved ceiling, Eirana dropped.

Silently, fluidly — like a leaf carried by a hidden breeze — she landed in the center of the circular stone dais. Her boots barely echoed against the polished root-wood floor.

The mont her feet touched the ground, it was as if the weight of an entire forest collapsed onto her shoulders.

The Ancient Elves' auras pressed into her psyche, a tide of spiritual might honed through millennia. It wasn't just mana — it was presence, ancestral will compressed into a still silence.

Her breath caught.

Her knees trembled.

But she stood.

Her spine refused to bend. Her chin remained level. Her heartbeat pounded like war drums, but she refused to falter.

Even as a passive force, Velyrian's aura alone made her feel like her soul was being unraveled thread by thread, and yet — she endured it.

The Seeress tilted his head, an amused glimr dancing in his eyes.

"Now that," he said calmly, his voice light but sharp like silk drawn across a blade, "is rare. To bear the weight of the Ancient Ones and still remain upright… comndable."

His lips curled faintly.

"But… pointless."

A beat passed.

"You've no exit. No allies. And now—no secrets."

Eirana didn't respond.

Her fists were clenched so tightly her knuckles had paled, but she didn't flinch, didn't lash out. Instead, her eyes scanned the room, searing each face, morizing each detail.

Velyrian stepped forward, his boots silent upon the floor.

"You're brave," he continued, voice a whisper at the edge of the room's soul. "But you've flown into the heart of the eagle's nest. Why, child of mist and Qi? Why bear your death with pride?"

Just as the tension grew unbearably sharp—ready to snap like a drawn bowstring—

a shadow blinked into existence behind her.

It was instantaneous.

A cold ripple in space, like reality folding in on itself for a brief heartbeat. The light from the luminous roots in the ceiling dimd for a second, warped by the unnatural distortion of the air.

Before anyone in the chamber could react—

The shadow wrapped around Eirana. T hi&s! c!o&p^y co-%s fr!o&m* cont ent on M.|#V|L0$E@M^P*Y^R#.

She gasped, a single exhale of shock leaving her lips.

And then—

She was gone.

No trace.

Not a sound. Not a shimr. Just the faint after-image of twisting black smoke curling toward the chamber ceiling like a vanishing breath.

The entire chamber froze.

Even the most seasoned among the Ancient Elves stiffened in subtle alarm.

Maeralyn's blade was already halfway out of its sheath, her instincts triggered the mont she sensed the anomaly. But the swiftness of the event had rendered her sword useless.

"An extraction," she said sharply, already turning toward the door. "An intruder has breached the core!"

She shot a look to Velyrian.

"How did you let that happen?!"

But the Seeress didn't respond.

He simply stood there, one hand now stroking his chin with idle amusent, the sa way one might when a chessboard shifts in a direction they hadn't foreseen — but welco.

"I didn't stop it… because I wanted to see it."

His tone was far too calm. Too entertained.

Maeralyn growled.

"So you let a spy slip into our most sacred chamber?!"

The Seeress looked toward her with that infuriating glint in his eyes.

"She wasn't here to assassinate. Nor to sabotage. She wanted to listen. To understand. That's far more useful than slaughter. Besides…" He paused, then glanced toward the ceiling, where the faint trail of that shadow still dissipated.

"She's being guided. Not by her tribe. Not even by the Nullcarvers. But sothing else... older. More dangerous."

"What do you an?" One of the ancient elves asked in a deep resonating voice. But Seeress didn't reply for a while she he seems to be getting more entertained by the thought. But eventually, he muttered.

"The Voidcloaks has erged"
