North American Detective: I am Proficient in All Kinds of Gun Quick Draws Chapter 277 - 183 An Bei Nearly Killed by Stray Bullets (Com
Dean had already brought Anbei to the underground section of the safe house. It was quite simple but still concealed and quiet.
Dean skillfully searched Anbei, thoroughly patting him down and removing all his concealed weapons. He stopped just short of prying open Anbei’s guts to check if he’d smuggled anything inside before ticulously examining his injuries.
After a mont, he shrugged. "You’re really quite lucky. Your rib is likely just fractured, not broken. With proper stabilization, you should regain a good degree of mobility."
"Then I really have to thank you!" Anbei closed his eyes, letting Dean tend to him as he wished.
He wasn’t sure if it was his imagination. It had been a while since they last t, and he felt that the current Dean was much more terrifying than before.
"Don’t ntion it." Dean felt no guilt over accidentally injuring Anbei. He only had one life. Accidental injuries were trivial. Even if he had overreacted and accidentally killed soone, he would have felt no regret or hesitation. At most, he would have bought the unfortunate soul a nicer coffin and given so financial compensation to their family.
...
After treating Anbei’s injuries, Dean took out a cigarette. Anbei refused one, so Dean lit his own, took a deep drag, and then said in a low voice, "Have you been watching ?"
Last ti, during the "fishing expedition" at the female police receptionist’s ho, Anbei had appeared in disguise. He deliberately made gestures in front of the cara Dean had installed, both to warn him and to reveal his own identity. This ti, Dean had originally intended to go to the safe house to change his own disguise, and once again, Anbei had followed him. This could no longer be explained away as re coincidence or Anbei being exceptionally well-inford.
Anbei grimaced as he climbed up from the wooden planks and clumsily put on his coat. After a brief mont to adjust, he said with so irritation, "Dean, it’s not who’s been watching you. It’s the organization I recently joined—they’re the ones watching you."
"The Lucifer Ga Organization?"
"Yes!" Anbei sighed and recounted what happened after he faked his death. He had violated the rules of the underworld, slaughtering many core mbers of the Carn Family in Los Angeles. This led to powerful figures putting a bounty on his head, forcing him to fight for survival. At Lincoln Farm, owned by the Carn Family, he detonated a large quantity of explosives. He then used the underground factory’s material transport tunnel to escape, faking his death in the process. Conveniently, this also helped Dean by clearing out his handiwork in the underground lab, aning Anbei took the bla for him once again.
Afterwards, Anbei used a disguise to infiltrate the remaining gunn of the Carn Family and was eventually recruited by a mysterious organization. This organization was none other than the ’Lucifer Ga Organization,’ which supposedly only existed in the online world!
"Couldn’t those gunn recognize their own companions, people they lived with day in and day out?" Dean was skeptical of Anbei’s story and unconsciously took a step forward. If he found out Anbei was lying, this distance was perfect. He could strike instantly, shattering Anbei’s skull with an elbow.
Anbei inexplicably felt a chill run down his spine. Although he couldn’t match Dean’s acute perception of mortal danger, having faced life-and-death situations since childhood had honed his own senses far beyond that of an ordinary person. He realized Dean was contemplating killing him.
Anbei hurriedly explained, "This is an ancestral technique of mine—a biomitic mask!" With that, he awkwardly turned, presented his rear, and wiggled it. "Touch my lower back!"
This guy’s lewdly suggestive actions made Dean intensely uncomfortable. Fine, I’ll touch it! But what’s with all the damn wiggling?! He extended his hand and placed it on Anbei’s lower back.
The mont he touched it, he noticed sothing was off. The texture felt very much like skin, but the temperature was wrong!
Dean pinched lightly. A thin layer of material, resembling rubber or silicone, peeled away from Anbei’s lower back and ca off in his hand. Its texture was so skin-like that it could almost be mistaken for real human skin. However, its flexibility and apparent breathability indicated it was no ordinary industrial product.
Anbei explained, "This is a disguise technique from China. It used to involve various dicinal herbs, animal hides, and even human skin, all processed through special thods to achieve significant changes in appearance. With industrial advancents, the creation of these Human Skin Masks has progressed significantly. Combined with clay, one can mold many different faces. Paired with voice modulation, it’s hard to detect unless soone touches the mask or stares intently."
That impressive? Dean was intrigued and thought about learning the technique. But now wasn’t the ti for that.
He tossed the piece of unidentified material back to Anbei and steered the conversation back. "Anbei, you said earlier that the Lucifer Ga Organization recruited so of the Carn Family’s remaining gunn and that they’ve been watching ?"
"Right!" Anbei’s eyes lit up with interest as he scanned Dean, who exuded an oppressive aura. "The Lucifer Ga Organization has a bounty list, divided into internal and external sections. The internal bounty list can only be accessed by mbers of the Lucifer Ga Organization. The external bounty list, however, is open to any visitor to the official Lucifer Ga Organization website. Anyone can view it, complete the tasks, and claim the corresponding rewards. The external list typically offers Virtual Coins. The internal bounty list, on the other hand, offers not only Virtual Coins but also the Lucifer Ga Organization’s unique Ga Coin. mbers can exchange these Ga Coins for money, assistance from within the organization; you can even use them to beco a wealthy industrialist, a governnt official with certain powers, or even join so special departnts in the United States. It’s all possible. This Ga Coin is like a form of contribution credit."
