Hank hung his head and didn't respond, looking even more despondent, but his deanor confird Jimmy's suspicions were correct.

Regarding kleptomania, Jimmy had studied it briefly at Quantico, but the instructor had only ntioned it briefly; such theft cases were usually managed by the police, not the FBI.

Kleptomania is a psychological issue, and Jimmy was certainly not an expert in that field. However, he had friends he could ask later. For now, the key was to solve the current problem.

Jimmy: "Hank, what's going on now? Where's Mary?"

Hank: "She's temporarily detained in the interrogation room. The store manager also ca by; I suggested compensation earlier, but he refused."

Jimmy frowned: "What's the matter? Is the necklace expensive?"

Hank: "No, it's just over a hundred bucks, but for so reason, the manager refuses to settle."

Jimmy thought for a mont and said, "I'm not too familiar with the NYPD here; I'll find soone to help. Give a mont."

Jimmy walked aside and took out his phone to call Nia, "Nia, do you know anyone in the Seventh District?"

Nia: "What's up?"

Jimmy: "A friend's wife stole a necklace worth over a hundred bucks because of kleptomania, and the store manager seems completely unwilling to settle."

Nia: "I'll co over; it's the Seventh District, right? Wait for ."

Jimmy: "Sure."

Jimmy glanced at Hank, who was still sitting with his head down, looking despondent. It seed clear that since leaving Albuquerque, he had no one else in New York to turn to.

It's just a theft case; theoretically, it shouldn't be too troubleso. Once Nia cos over to understand the situation, if it's not too complicated, she should be able to handle it. With Kevin's support, Nia is likely to manage such small matters without any issue.

Jimmy dialed Steven's number again, "Steven, I've found Hank."

Steven: "Great, how is he? What happened?"

Jimmy: "The details will have to wait, I'm just calling to let you know he's okay."

Steven: "Thanks, if you can help, please try to sort it out for him."

Jimmy: "Sure, don't worry, that's it for now."

After a while, Nia and Chuck approached, and Jimmy was surprised. Wasn't Chuck supposed to let Nia form her own team already? Why were they together again?

Jimmy walked a few steps, first embracing Nia, then shaking hands with Chuck, "Chuck, why are you here?"

Chuck smiled and said, "If I hadn't co, you'd have so trouble today." ᴛhis chapter is ᴜpdated by noveⅼfire

Jimmy frowned at him: "Is there more to it?"

Chuck nodded: "Don't worry, I'm aware of the situation, let handle it. Co on, let's et your friend."

Jimmy led Nia and Chuck to Hank, "Hank, this is Detective Chuck, and my fiancée Nia. Tell Chuck about your situation; he's familiar with people in the NYPD."

Hank stood up, reached out to shake hands with Chuck and Nia, "DEA Senior Agent Hank Schlader, from New xico."

Hank glanced around, and the three moved to a corner, "My wife and I ca to New York on vacation. This morning, my wife took a necklace from a store without paying. As she was leaving the store, security stopped her and called the police. I was waiting outside, only coming in when I saw sothing happened, and then followed the police to the station."

Chuck: "Have you talked to the store people?"

Hank frowned and nodded, "They refuse to settle."

Chuck: "Alright, I understand, just wait here. Nia, co with ."

Nia patted Jimmy and followed Chuck toward the other side of the police station.

Hank's eyes constantly followed Chuck and Nia, Jimmy walked over and patted him on the shoulder, "Don't worry, Chuck's an old detective, he's very familiar with NYPD matters, he can definitely handle it."

Originally thinking it would be quick, it turned out half an hour passed before Chuck and Nia brought a brown-haired woman over. Hank kept watching that way, and upon seeing the woman following them, he quickly stepped forward, "Mary, how are you?"

Mary hugged Hank, softly sobbing, the two quietly conversing, Jimmy couldn't hear from where he stood.

Chuck and Nia didn't stay with them but instead ca straight to Jimmy, "It's sorted, but there's still a procedure to complete. Let's wait for them to calm down and talk it over together."

Hank and Mary only spoke briefly, then ca over, Hank embracing Jimmy tightly, "Thank you, Jimmy, thank you."

Jimmy patted Hank, "No need to be so polite. Alright, it's not over yet. Chuck."

Chuck nodded, "You need to prepare a psychological evaluation report for today, it's best if there are previous treatnt records."

Hank: "Is this required? This will involve contacting people back in Albuquerque."

Chuck: "Yes, it's needed for the settlent record."

Hank: "Alright, I'll see if I can contact a psychologist."

Jimmy: "Let find soone instead. But, let's leave here first."

Jimmy and the group left the police station, Nia and Chuck returned to the detective bureau, Jimmy didn't ask how Nia had handled it as it wasn't suitable to ask now, there would be ti to discuss it in the evening.

Jimmy contacted a doctor nad Mary, and when he called, he realized with a chuckle that he knew quite a few people nad Mary.

Dr. Mary answered the phone and, after hearing Jimmy's explanation, asked them to co by after 2 PM, just in ti for a al and a break over lunch.
