I think the Federal Prosecutor's Office should be able to provide more professional advice, and we cannot rule out other charges.

By the way, Nate escaped from prison recently, so we need to add charges of prison break and evading law enforcent. I suspect whether he caused any harm to the police during his breakout; if so, another charge of assaulting a police officer needs to be added.

I think we also need to contact the Federal Court Police to see what information they have."

Dave:"Peter, do you have any objections?"

Peter shook his head:"Jimmy is right, but this case shouldn't need to be handed over to the Federal Court Police, the federal kidnapping charge is handled by us."

Dave: "Okay, that's settled. Contact the prosecutor's office and the court police to confirm the charges and finalize the case as soon as possible."

Peter nodded, "I will handle it."

Dave:"Mrs. Mason, what about your side?"

Mrs. Mason:"The news is still under lockdown, we haven't received any dia applications for now."

Dave:"Alright, let's keep the information under wraps for now, don't let outsiders know the details."

Dave and Mrs. Mason stood up, ready to leave, but stopped, "Jimmy, co with ."

Jimmy stood up and followed Dave and Mrs. Mason out of the conference room; Mrs. Mason went directly to the elevator, while Dave led Jimmy to an empty conference room, "You did well today, I heard you found the clue?"

Jimmy:"Yes, I asked so friends to help."

Dave:"What kind of people?"

Jimmy:"Sorry, Dave, that's not convenient to disclose, their identity is sowhat sensitive."

Dave nodded:"As long as the result is good, it seems you've gotten to know quite a few people in New York even though you've only been here four or five years."

Jimmy wasn't sure how to respond to this, as anything he said could be problematic, so he just awkwardly looked at Dave without speaking.

Dave:"The new supervisor for the fieldwork side will be in place soon. You should avoid fieldwork tasks for now to prevent soone from finding fault with you. This ti we'll let it go, but be more careful in the future, just stay in the Public Affairs Office and don't co out unnecessarily."

Jimmy:"Dave, when can I return to fieldwork?" Latest content published on novel·fiɾe·net

Dave sighed:"Wait a little longer, things haven't been resolved yet, it's not the right ti now. Get in touch with Hughes later."

Jimmy:"Regarding what matter?"

Dave:"Just talk to him and see how he's doing."

Jimmy:"Alright, I understand."

It seems there might be so issues on Hughes' side, which Dave is sowhat concerned about, although it's unclear whether he's worried about Hughes' actions or his ntal state.

Dave:"Do you have any plans? Which departnt will you go to after returning to fieldwork?"

Jimmy:"I'll follow the leader's arrangent; whatever departnt you assign to is fine."

Dave:"You... Okay, you can go back now."

Dave opened the eting room door and left, and Jimmy also went upstairs to the office to start writing the report.

This report isn't easy to write; in intelligence matters, it can only refer to as a confidential informant. He can't exactly state the source of the information in the report.

The issue is, he's no longer a field agent, and previously in the Homicide Team, even as an acting leader, he didn't have the qualification to enlist informants, which requires prior reporting in order to allow reimbursent of informant fees.

This type of purely personal relationship informant sotis belongs to the category of incorrect procedures, depending on whether soone cos to find fault later. If that happens, he might have to borrow soone from Bowery King to deal with it.

After saving Peter and returning to the FBI office, it was already dark, and now he had to finish the report. Of course, he needed to call Nia beforehand to notify her, as this job characteristic can't be helped; both Nia and he could have shifts at any ti, making it impossible to predict in advance.

When Jimmy finished writing the report and returned ho, Nia was already asleep; he didn't bother with a midnight snack, just washed up and rested.

The next day, Jimmy arrived at the office with the completed report and handed it over to Peter's office, noticing Peter's tired appearance asked, "Didn't you go ho yesterday?"

Peter:"I went ho, but Elizabeth was a bit frightened and didn't sleep well last night."

Jimmy:"Well, it's her first ti encountering sothing like this, it's understandable. The reports are all here, you guys handle the rest. By the way, try to sort it out before the new supervisor arrives; there seems to be sothing off about their stance."

Peter:"Yeah. Yesterday's robber survived, you know?"

Jimmy:"No, I didn't ask the hospital. Whether he survives doesn't matter much; considering the severity of his cris, he'll likely spend the rest of his life in prison. Have you contacted the prosecutor's office? What did they say?"

Peter nodded:"Not yet, it'll be dealt with today. You head back first, I'll communicate with OPR."

Jimmy felt a bit speechless, Peter really hit straight on his biggest concern; if Hughes were still around, he'd definitely try to get Hughes to take care of it. Now, with Peter willing to speak on his behalf, that's even better.

He could discern the issue with the stance of the new supervisor primarily from Dave's attitude, but Peter likely has the insight too, so he casually ntioned it in passing.

Nodding, Jimmy left Peter's office, called Hughes to confirm he was at ho, and instead of returning to his office, went directly to find Hughes.

Dave specifically called him out for a talk last night; although he only ntioned it at the end, hearing between the lines, his intention was focused on Hughes.
