Jimmy had been on the living room floor until daylight. Of course, later on he just lay down; after all, the floor wasn't especially cold, and spending a night there wasn't a problem. The only discomfort was how hard it was, and it was quite unpleasant without a pillow under his head.

For several hours, no one entered the apartnt. It wasn't until morning that residents started waking up, cooking and leaving the building. Jimmy kept his Heart Eye active, scrutinizing the entire apartnt complex at the slightest disturbance, keeping his mind constantly occupied.

During those hours, he kept wondering what had startled him awake. There was absolutely no reason, and he hadn't discovered anything.

It was morning now, and Jimmy finally gave up. No one had taught him what his ability was really about, how to train it, or how to enhance it. The only thing he was sure of was that the Heart Eye he used frequently was becoming clearer, able to reach farther, and had developed additional functions from its original scanning capabilities, such as ballistic guidance, the special ability of a Sharpshooter, and now a dangerous Sixth Sense.

Aside from Roland, he had no one else he could talk to, nor did he dare to share this with anyone else. This was even more problematic than his identity issue because this ability was his, yet its growth was partly inexplicable and partly due to the Black Rainbow Roland had given him back then.

What exactly the Black Rainbow was for, he didn't know, and Roland didn't know either, nor had he told him.

That's just how it was. He still had plenty of ti; his real age was only 26, and his fake identity was just 30. He should have enough ti to handle this ability, as long as nothing unexpected happened.

Jimmy got up from the floor, freshened up, then went downstairs to buy breakfast and brought it back ho to eat before finally heading to the parking lot. As he was walking towards his car, he gradually slowed his pace.

Sothing wasn't right. The palpitating feeling from last night—could it be similar to a warning of murderous intent? In the past, it had only triggered when soone was about to make a move. Could it now an that there was soone with intense murderous intent but hadn't made a move yet?

If that was indeed the case, then his apartnt was fine, but the places that might be in trouble were his car or other fixed locations. Could sothing be wrong with those?

Jimmy stood at a distance, took out a pack of cigarettes, lit one, and repeatedly scanned the car with his Heart Eye. Previously, he had not paid attention to the car's specific frawork, making it challenging for him to remotely check whether there was anything extra in the car.

Jimmy pulled out his phone and called Mahong. Mahong answered quickly, "Jimmy, what's up?"

Jimmy: "Where are you now?"

Mahong: "At the apartnt, about to head out."

Jimmy: "Be careful. Check your apartnt and car."

Mahong was silent for a few seconds, "What do you an?"

Jimmy: "It's possible. Just be on guard."

Mahong: "Got it. See you at the bureau."

Jimmy hung up, threw the cigarette butt to the ground, first remotely unlocked the car with the key to make sure nothing unexpected happened, then walked over to his car.

He first walked around the car once, checked under the tires to ensure there was nothing there, bent over to check under the car, then slowly opened the hood to inspect the engine compartnt, opened the rear and other doors, and only then did he carefully open the driver's side door to make sure there were no connections.

Only the final step remained: inserting the car key and turning it to start the engine. Jimmy buckled his seatbelt and set off for work.

At Federal Square, Jimmy didn't return to his office but instead went directly to Hughes' office. Hughes wasn't in yet, so Jimmy waited in the adjacent eting room.

Mahong also ca. Although he didn't call again, he ca to Hughes' office. Seeing Jimmy in the eting room, he walked in as well.

Mahong: "What happened?"

Jimmy: "A small incident. Early this morning, I suddenly woke up, but nothing happened. Since waking up until this morning, I've been thinking a lot. To arrange so many people—first, four people withdrew from the sea, then another six were sent to the hospital to rescue soone—the number of people in this Organization must be considerable.

Putting myself in their shoes, after losing so many people, the only options would be retaliation and avoiding further capture.

I don't know their exact situation regarding avoidance, so I'll skip that. But for retaliation, the target would unquestionably be you and , who entered the hospital to deal with these people.

They were able to find the hospital where we previously confined the female sharpshooter within hours, confirm the room, and prepare a rescue plan, which requires strong intelligence capabilities. Whether this intelligence was leaked by soone isn't the point, but they definitely can obtain intel, aning they're aware of our identities, which could compromise our current residences and license plate numbers.

There are many thods of retaliation. I have previously encountered a break-in, but that person was alert and escaped. So if they're coming back, my car should also be a target.

Shooting, bombs—neither of these would be a problem for a capable organization."

Mahong's expression changed when Jimmy ntioned retaliation, growing increasingly grave until the furrows appeared on his brow.

Mahong: "Do you think they will send soone to assassinate us or use a bomb?"

Jimmy: "If they're indeed thinking the sa way I am, then you've got to be extra cautious over these next few days."
