Angelo is truly professional and patient; frankly, if it were a client of Jimmy's causing such trouble like him and Nia, he would have lost his temper long ago.
Angelo: "Okay, Mr. Yang, Ms. Miller, we need about a week to rush your order; please co by next week to confirm it."
Jimmy shook hands with Angelo to thank him, then left the InterContinental Hotel with Nia and Winston.
On the day of the engagent ceremony, Jimmy was still a bit hesitant, unsure of how many people his invitations would actually bring, considering many were important figures, and it was normal for them not to attend.
In the afternoon, so guests had already arrived at the hotel ballroom, most of the initial arrivals were relatives and friends on Nia's side, as well as friends of her father, Kevin Miller.
On Jimmy's side, only Cage, a colleague from the county police, and a few colleagues from the FBI arrived early, such as Peter, Ruiz, Ryan, while Mahong was still busy, so he wouldn't be coming for now.
Hughes and Mrs. Mason would arrive a little later, this was confird in advance, but Deputy Director Dave would not co, though he said he would attend Jimmy's wedding ceremony with his wife.
Jas ca early and was chatting with Kevin, but Tom would not appear, he had contacted Jimmy; although his identity is not an issue now, he still isn't comfortable attending public events.
Checking his watch, Jimmy finally saw his friend who had traveled from afar, John Butler from the USSS, who had confird the ti upon receiving Jimmy's invite.
Jimmy chatted briefly with him, then introduced Peter and the others, since they were colleagues, they should have a common language.
Approaching the reception area, Sam was already there with Mrs. Waltz, but they weren't convenient to sign in, so Jimmy went to greet them.
Jimmy bent down to hug Mrs. Waltz in the wheelchair, "Grandma Waltz, thank you for attending my engagent ceremony. Sam, thank you."
Jimmy took over the wheelchair, pushing Mrs. Waltz to Kevin and the others: "Kevin, this is my grandfather's best friend, Grandma Waltz. Grandma Waltz, this is my father-in-law, Kevin Miller."
Kevin looked at Jimmy in surprise; when Jimmy sent out the invitations, he didn't explain in detail who he was inviting, so he didn't know soone with such connections was coming: "Aunt Waltz, thank you for coming to Jimmy and Nia's engagent ceremony."
Mrs. Waltz: "Jimmy is a good boy, his family is no longer around, so I naturally couldn't miss his big day."
A waiter approached and whispered sothing to Jimmy, who indicated to Sam to take over the wheelchair, "Grandma Waltz, Kevin, sorry, I need to go greet so guests."
Noah Watson stood beside the reception area, and upon seeing Jimmy co out, he approached to shake his hand: "Congratulations, Jimmy. I'm here on behalf of Deputy Director Thomas."
Jimmy smiled and shook his hand: "Thank you, I thought you might not co. Please, let's talk inside."
Watson nodded and walked inside with Jimmy, "Thomas couldn't co at the mont, and his identity isn't suitable for public appearances, I hope you understand."
Jimmy: "I understand; oh, by the way, Mrs. Waltz is here too, she just arrived."
Watson: "Then I should go say hello."
Jimmy led Watson to Mrs. Waltz and leaned down to gently ask: "Grandma Waltz, Deputy Director Thomas Nolan couldn't co, he arranged for Watson to be here, would you like to et him?"
Mrs. Waltz turned her head towards Watson, who imdiately ca forward to shake her hand: "Mrs. Waltz, sorry, Deputy Director Nolan couldn't co due to so reasons."
Mrs. Waltz patted his hand: "It's fine, as long as you're here, let's chat on the side."
Watson took the wheelchair handle from Sam and pushed Mrs. Waltz to the side.
Jimmy smiled looking around the venue, it seed like everyone from his side had arrived; many had previously called him for various reasons and wouldn't be coming, including Lambert from the Dallas office, Harten from the Little Rock office, Torsten from the DEA, and so on.
Glancing at the ti, it was about ti for the ceremony host to announce the start; Jimmy headed backstage but was suddenly called back to the reception area, where soone in military uniform stood.
Smiling, Jimmy walked over: "I'm Jimmy Yang, may I ask who you are?"
The serviceman removed his hat and held it in his left hand, extending his right hand to shake Jimmy's, "I'm David Clinton, from the DIA. Mr. Andrew was originally supposed to co today, but due to an ergency, he's temporarily staying in Washington, D.C., so I'm here to apologize on his behalf."
Jimmy: "Oh, I rember you, you were in the living room during that ti in the cabin."
David smiled and nodded: "Yes, I was indeed there that day."
Jimmy: "Please co in, I'll introduce you to so people."
"Jimmy." Jimmy was about to lead David inside when he heard soone call his na and turned to look, "Caitlin, thank you for coming to my engagent ceremony."
Caitlin: "I hope I'm not late."
Jimmy: "Certainly not, please co in."
Jimmy led David and Caitlin into the banquet hall, introducing David to Mrs. Waltz, then Caitlin to Watson, arranging everyone, then left.
