Jimmy booked a room in the hotel where Tom was staying and brought the suitcase to his own room. Looking at this suitcase, he finally breathed a sigh of relief. He had been using this identity for several years, and until today, he could truly say he had inherited everything that ca with this identity.

The next morning, Jimmy drove directly to Langley, parked the car, and called Watson. "Watson, I'm at Langley."

Watson: "Wait for in the lounge for a while. Sothing ca up, and I'm not in the Langley building."

Jimmy: "OK, call when you're back."

Jimmy swiped his card to go upstairs, found a room, and waited. This ti it was to break away from the CIA. He didn't wander around the Langley building and stayed patiently to avoid bumping into soone he knew, especially Caitlin and them.

More than half an hour later, Watson called Jimmy, t him directly in the lounge, and brought him to the office.

It seed that the supervisor offices here all looked the sa. Watson's was also just a desk, a bookshelf behind it, an archive cabinet beside it, and an Arican flag tucked into one side of the shelf.

While taking off his trench coat and hanging it on the hanger, Watson said to Jimmy: "I didn't expect that as soon as I learned you were one of us, I'd have to help you with retirent procedures. Jimmy, why?"

Jimmy sat in the chair opposite his desk, looking around the office while he said, "I have a fiancée. I don't want to hide from her, nor do I want her to know I'm living a double life."

Watson nodded, sat in his seat, and turned on the computer, "Deputy Director Nolan has already agreed. I will help you with the procedures, but it can't be completed today, and you should be ntally prepared. It will take at least two weeks to finish all the processes."

Jimmy frowned, "Does it really take that long? I haven't participated in the bureau's tasks. My files should be quite clean."

Watson: "Of course, I'll try to expedite their handling, but so things can't be rushed due to procedural constraints."

Watson pulled up Jimmy's information on the computer, turned to look at Jimmy, "You trained in Egypt Valley, Utah?"

Jimmy nodded: "Yes, I've also been to several other training camps, but mainly Egypt Valley."

Watson: "Your na is not on the training camp lists at Egypt Valley. All your training materials were cleared—probably Rick's doing. Damn! These people really worked sloppily."

Jimmy: "Will it affect ?"

Watson: "Just a bit. I'll check again."

Watson clicked around on the computer, entered so more information, then slapped the desk and looked at Jimmy: "Wait here for for a minute."

Watson got up and left the office. Jimmy turned his head to watch him get on the elevator and go upstairs, talked to soone in an office for a few words, picked up a phone on the desk and dialed, then spoke a few more words to the person in that office before returning to his office.

Jimmy remained seated and did not rush to the computer to look at his data; it's better to behave in Watson's office.

Watson returned to the office and did not sit in his seat but ca right in front of Jimmy, "There was a slight mishap. Soone previously cleared your files, leaving only your basic file information here. Training camp-related and associated personnel information in the file have all been cleared."

Jimmy: "What does that an?"

Watson: "The archives at the training camps were checked. All of you guys' data, including training personnel, are lost."

Jimmy: "You an Kodaiski?"

Watson nodded: "Not just him, the data of other instructors are missing too. In fact, all related paperwork with those two terms of trainees are gone."

Jimmy gritted his teeth. Rick was too rough; directly removing and destroying the files left too many traces.

Jimmy: "Will it affect ?"

Watson took a deep breath, walked to the window, and looked outside. After a while, he turned and looked at Jimmy, "Jimmy, co with ."

Jimmy got up and followed Watson out of the office towards the elevator, heading to the office Watson had entered earlier. The sign on the door marked Thomas Nolan. No surprise, Jimmy's matter would naturally trouble him; it was normal for Watson to seek him out earlier.

Watson asked Jimmy to wait outside for a mont, knocked, opened the door, and entered the office, "Deputy Director Nolan, I brought Jimmy over."

Thomas Nolan looked at him, "Watson, what's going on?"

Watson: "All related files are gone, making the normal retirent procedure very troubleso due to incomplete docuntation."

Thomas tapped the desk with a pen he held, "What do you suggest?"

Watson: "He now has only two files left: a physical docunt in the archive and an agent's basic data file in our database. I was wondering if we should directly destroy them?"

Thomas: "That would implicate a lot of people."

Watson: "This is the simplest way. You have the authority to extract files or arrange to clear archive data. Of course, the simplest would be to have soone delete the data directly."

Thomas tapped his pen on the desk repeatedly, making a thudding sound. After a dozen seconds, he stopped tapping, "Is it worth it?"

Watson: "I think it's worth it, for Mrs. Valtz."

Thomas nodded, "You handle it, and I will sign."

Watson: "Jimmy is outside the door, do you want to see him?"

Thomas shook his head: "Let's not. Veronique Durand, his mother, you should have an impression, right?"
