Jimmy tidied up a bit. Today he was going to pick up Mahong's ex-wife and child. Forget about last night's shopping outfit; he switched to a suit, took his ID and his two revolvers, and after so thought, tucked the borrowed pistol from yesterday into his back waistband.

When he was ready to leave, he rembered he hadn't prepared a car, so he went to the bedside to pick up the phone and called the front desk to ask them to call a taxi. Charon suddenly spoke up, "Excuse , sir, I drove over."

Jimmy: "Hold on." He held the phone in his hand and looked at Charon, "You drove?"

Charon nodded, and Jimmy said into the phone, "Sorry, cancel the taxi, thank you."

Hanging up the phone, Jimmy said to Charon, "Thank you, Charon. You're really thorough."

Charon leaned forward slightly, "As long as you're satisfied."

Jimmy and Charon went downstairs together and saw Charon's car, an Audi A8. Well, it did fit the Intercontinental Hotel's style; Winston used an RR when he went out, even though he wasn't here this ti, the car Charon used was still a luxury car.

Charon opened the rear door for Jimmy, and then went to the driver's seat to drive away from the hotel.

In Mahong's hospital room, Jimmy stood in front of Mahong's bed, "Mahong, you need to let your ex-wife know, I will pick them up soon."

Mahong: "Now?"

Jimmy nodded, "Everything's ready, they just need to pack so personal items, nothing else."

Mahong took out his phone, turned it on while looking at Jimmy, sowhat confused in his eyes.

Mahong: "Hey, Pam, it's .... Soone will co to pick you up soon, to take you and Caron away for a while.... Sorry, there are so special circumstances. Yes, goodbye."

Mahong hung up the phone and nodded at Jimmy.

Jimmy: "OK, I'll head over now."

Outside the hospital room, Jimmy nodded to Charon, and the two left the hospital, driving to the location of Mahong's ex-wife.

In the car, Jimmy looked around, "Charon, don't park yet, drive slowly along this street."

Charon didn't refuse at all, looking at the road ahead, he casually replied, "Okay, sir."

At the intersection, Jimmy didn't indicate a direction, Charon directly turned right, circled the block, and ca back to the doorway of Mahong's ex-wife's place.

Jimmy: "OK, stop now."

He unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the car, tidied up his suit by the car, and walked to the door to knock.

A woman ca over to open the door, and Jimmy showed his ID, "FBI, Jimmy Yang. Are you Pam?"

Pam nodded, "Is there sothing going on?"

Jimmy smiled and said, "Mahong just called you. I'm here to pick you and Caron up."

Pam frowned, "Now?"

Jimmy nodded, "Sorry for the suddenness, it's sowhat urgent. Are you and Caron ready?"

Pam bit her lip, "I don't know what's happening; does it really have to be this way?"

Jimmy: "Sorry, I can't disclose details, but it really has to be done now."

Pam nodded, "Please wait a mont, I'll call Caron down."

Pam ca downstairs holding Mahong's son Caron, a small child of about 3 or 4 years old. She only brought one bag and followed Jimmy to the car by the roadside.

Jimmy opened the back door for Pam, letting mother and son sit in the back seat. He sat in the front passenger seat, looked at Charon, "Charon, I'm relying on you."

Charon: "I'm honored to help you, sir. In that case, let's head back first."

Jimmy nodded, "Please give my thanks to him."

Charon: "Of course."

Jimmy turned to look at Pam and Caron, "Please don't worry; the matters with Mahong will be resolved soon, and you can return to normal afterward. Goodbye, Pam, Caron."

Jimmy opened the car door and got out, closed the door, waved to those inside, and Charon started the car and left.

Once Charon's car had left, the smile on Jimmy's face faded. During his earlier tour around, Jimmy discovered an unusual spot. Opposite Mahong's ex-wife's house diagonally was a two-story building, and behind a second-floor window, there was a tripod with a telescope, pointed directly at Mahong's ex-wife's house.

But there was currently no one in that house; it was empty, at least for now, indicating that no one was watching from there. This also proves that what Mahong said was true; indeed, soone was threatening him using his ex-wife and child.

Perhaps in the past month or so, as Mahong had been tracing a few escapees, the people behind the scenes thought he was playing it safe and thus temporarily withdrew their surveillance staff, but they hadn't removed the surveillance setup.

Jimmy wasn't from the Chicago office; he couldn't conduct cases here anyway, and it's not his current task to solve cases, so investigating fingerprints to confirm identities was aningless.

Since no one was in that room, there was no need to go in and investigate. Jimmy walked a bit further, and fortunately, a taxi happened to be passing by, so waving it down, Jimmy returned to the hospital.

Jimmy: "It's arranged."

Mahong: "Thank you, Jimmy."

Jimmy: "Is there anything else you want to say?"

Mahong: "That's all. Jimmy, I'm very sorry, I've done a lot of..."

Jimmy: "Don't say it. Just continue with your normal pursuit of fugitives, and I'll handle the rest. Don't tell anyone or do anything that might allow others to use it against you."

Mahong took a deep breath and nodded.

Jimmy took a phone out of his pocket and tossed it to Mahong, "My number is already in the call list; contact if needed."

Mahong: "I'll return to the Chicago office as soon as possible to continue the investigation."

Jimmy: "That's good, I'll head back now."
