Got in the car, Ruiz left the club, and only after Jimmy was out of Heart Eye's range did he look ahead.

Jimmy: "Has our gang here increased again? Didn't Camorra have a foothold in New York before?"

Ruiz: "No, they used to, but most of it was property investnt, and they didn't conduct much business here. Actually, it's not just Camorra; other gangs are similar. Finding any gang in New York is no surprise. Even if they have no business here, they'll make an appearance to show their presence."

Jimmy: "So are all four branches of the Mafia complete now?"

Ruiz: "Yes, the Sicilian Mafia, Camorra, the Glory Society, and the Holy Crown Alliance all have people in New York. However, the largest is still the Mafia. The five families of the Mafia are declining now, but the small gangs that scattered after their downfall are hard to eliminate.

Our task is very heavy now. There are too many small gangs. Without a major gang maintaining basic underworld order, they are already having a significant impact on ordinary people, and the number of cris is increasing rapidly.

Giving these big gangs a warning can do so good, sadly we don't have the evidence. Otherwise, none of them would get away."

Jimmy could hear how frustrated Ruiz was. It made sense. The organized cri investigation team targeted these gangs, but most of these gangs had firewalls. The underlings were isolated from the people above, making it impossible to testify against them. Grabbing small-ti thugs every day was aningless.

For these street punks, spending a stint in prison was like advanced study. Instead of reforming, many ca out even more excessive, promoted with pay raises...

Moreover, capturing these people shouldn't involve the FBI; the police could handle it. The main goal of the FBI was still to take down the bosses and leaders above.

Jimmy: "Do they have any disputes now? Will they get violent?"

Ruiz: "I also hope they don't, but it's impossible. For example, the dispute between Camorra and the Glory Society didn't originate in the United States; it started in Italy. Their entanglents go back decades and aren't resolved easily."

Jimmy: "Right, how do you know which gang they belong to? You even know when they arrive."

Ruiz glanced at Jimmy, turned to look ahead: "Of course, it's supported by intelligence, and besides, their internal structures aren't solid, and there are sources where you can get intelligence. It just depends on whether you're diligent in looking."

Jimmy mostly dealt with intelligence that was already docunted. He didn't have informant recruitnt privileges, so he wasn't clear on this area. However, Ruiz definitely had them, and not just informants, but also undercover agents...

Jimmy: "What's next?"

Ruiz: "Just wait. Give her a little ti, and handle the other matters first."

Jimmy: "By the way, did that Razor guy rat out any big shots last ti?"

Ruiz: "Small fry, tossed into prison. It wasn't a waste of our efforts all this ti. What about you? You seem idle after coming back."

Jimmy: "Mahong was seconded away, and I'm now in the ergency team."

Ruiz: "Alright, I'll call you if there's action."

Jimmy: "No problem."

Ruiz didn't ask what Jimmy had done recently or if he had resolved the previous assault case—classic insider knowledge. Although he might not know as much as Hughes, it was clear he, like Mahong and the others, had things on his mind that he wouldn't casually reveal.

Back at the office, Jimmy opened the office file cabinet and took out a few docunts. These were past cases. There was no harm in browsing them while idle. Actually, Jimmy really wanted to take files from Ruiz's side. Those could be viewed as stories involving all aspects, while the Homicide Team's files were mostly about past cases handled by the group, which involved too many perverts.

Soon, the office phone on Jimmy's desk rang. It was strange as normally others would call his cell phone.

Jimmy answered the phone: "Homicide Team, who are you looking for?"

A woman's voice ca from the other end: "Is this the Manhattan office? This is Julia from the FBI Los Angeles office. I'm looking for Agent Mahong."

Jimmy: "Sorry, Agent Mahong isn't in the office right now. I'm Agent Yang. You can tell , and I'll pass it on to him."

Julia: "OK, we extracted a fingerprint at a cri scene during an investigation. The fingerprint belongs to Caron Brown. The system shows this person is currently wanted, and the warrant was issued by your Manhattan office."

Jimmy: "Let think... Yes, this Caron Brown escaped from Sisley Prison in New York State. Since then, the clues dried up, making further investigation impossible, and I'm also on this investigation team. Is he in Los Angeles? What cri did he commit?"

Julia: "In a bar shooting in South Los Angeles, according to witness testimonies, Brown and another unidentified person got into a fight with another group while drinking in a bar. After the fight started, the two of them opened fire, killing one person and injuring three, then escaped. We're currently tracking their whereabouts."

Jimmy: "OK, could you send the information you've gathered so far? Also, your contact information, as I will notify others and make further arrangents."

Julia: "No problem, I'll fax it to you shortly."
