Ray ca out from the drug dog and imdiately phoned the bureau, having his people split into two groups. One headed to the target location to confirm the house position and address, as well as to inquire about the hoowner's information, while the other group ca to their location to temporarily take control of the drug dog.

Ray took Jimmy to the federal court. This ti he was prepared and applied for a search warrant right away. He waited outside the federal courthouse until he received clear information from the bureau before entering to find a judge.

Joseph Feins, he was their target, the hoowner of that house. According to system records, he had worked as a security guard at the robbed bank two years prior for six months. After quitting, he had no record of new employnt, aning he mostly did odd jobs or simply rested at ho.

In Arica, being out of work for a long ti would put a lot of pressure on life unless, of course, one ca from a wealthy family. Moreover, having worked at the robbed bank, his suspicion shot up from a little bit to almost certain confirmation.

Jimmy watched Ray communicate with the federal judge and suddenly understood why Lambert had Ray bring him along. It was clear that Ray, as a veteran detective, had too familiar a rapport here—the communication with the judge was seamless. After they presented the relevant evidence, they imdiately obtained a signed search warrant on-site—much more convenient than Jimmy's experiences in New York.

Ray, carrying the search warrant, ca directly, and detectives who had arrived earlier had already positioned themselves in front and behind the house. Jimmy followed Ray, leading a few detectives straight to the door to knock: "FBI, Joseph Feins, open up, we have a search warrant."

The two people inside the house were sitting down initially, but when they heard the shout at the door, one of them ran toward the back door, attempting to escape from the backyard. He had barely taken two steps out the door before he was tackled to the ground by an agent lying in wait at the back door. The other person ran to the bedroom.

After shouting several tis and receiving no response to open the door, they received a report from the agent at the back door through the intercom. Ray stepped aside from the entrance, and another agent ca up and kicked the door open.

"FBI, don't move."

Once inside the room, the agents acted swiftly and systematically, clearly with well-rehearsed coordination from carrying out countless searches. So inspected the kitchen and the living room, while others went straight to the back bedrooms.

"Don't move! Hands up! Ray, we've found soone."

Ray moved toward the bedroom with Jimmy following, tagging along the entire process.

Ray: "Joseph Feins, we need to search this place for the missing cash from the bank robbery. This is the search warrant. Search thoroughly and get to work."

One agent grabbed Joseph and pulled him aside, while the others started searching the room. After a while, "Ray, we've found sothing, co take a look."

Ray, hearing this, walked over to find a box neatly filled with several stacks of cash, with the straps still intact. Ray nodded, "Keep looking for other cash, and take these back to check the serial numbers."

Jimmy said to Ray with a smile, "It seems like the case is almost over."

Ray nodded, unable to hide the smile on his face, "Finally, it's about to end. We were delayed for a few days, but still caught them. We're lucky. Let's go, back to the investigation."

The follow-up investigation went smoothly. The unopened cash found in the house indeed belonged to the robbed bank. Additionally, so loose change was found in the bedroom drawers and on Joseph as well as the man who had tried to escape. In the FBI interrogation room, both suspects confessed without reservation. Joseph had provided the working hours and security status of the bank, and the other man, Paul, had carried out the robbery.

After the robbery, Joseph t up with Paul outside the city and returned ho, having discarded the motorcycle in the suburbs.

The investigator sent to search the site of the motorcycle's abandonnt confird that it had disappeared, but it wasn't surprising. For certain people, a motorcycle discarded in the wild was found treasure, definitely not sothing to waste.

The money obtained from the robbery wasn't much, just a few tens of thousands. After returning, the two n split it imdiately. They checked to ensure there were no tracking devices or dye packs among the bills, which ant the money could be spent normally. Thus, they let their guard down.

The two spent the next few days together to prevent leakage of information if they split up. They were waiting for less attention before going out to enjoy themselves. Sadly, a drug addict with lock-picking skills spilled everything.

After a busy day, extending into the evening, they finally wrapped up the entire investigation. Ray and Jimmy both breathed a sigh of relief. Ray began to write the report while Jimmy left the office.

Tom had arranged to et him that evening, and unexpectedly, the case had dragged on so long. After leaving the office building, Jimmy casually picked up so food from a roadside food truck to tide him over and then returned to the hotel to wait for Tom's call.

Finally, Tom's call ca. The location he chose for them to et was indeed a bit irritating—a park at quite a distance. Since Jimmy currently had no car, he could only take a taxi there.

Jimmy ntioned to Ray that day that he needed to apply for another car, and Ray agreed. However, because they had been busy with the arrest and the investigation, it was delayed, and he would have to wait until the next day to ask about it.

Arriving at the tennis park, which had already closed, was not a problem for people like Jimmy and Tom.

Inside, Jimmy found a children's playground next to Tom. Under the moonlight, Tom's shiny head was clearly visible.
