Yes, the bar was already taken over while Jimmy was staying in the hotel after getting shot. The negotiations for the transfer of the bar had been completed under the presence of a lawyer, where Jimmy and the previous owner signed the transfer agreent, smoothly securing the bar.

The biggest hero of this negotiation was Diego Isaac, the bar manager candidate recomnded by Justin. Jimmy was only involved in the final signing, while most of the preliminary communications were handled by him. Of course, Woody also played an indispensable role. Everyone hates a mole, but if it's for one's own side, they're a hero.

After work, several people drove from the office first to the restaurant next to Jimmy's apartnt for dinner before heading to the bar.

Woody: "Boss, good evening."

Jimmy waved his hand: "I'm inviting the colleagues for a couple of drinks, go ahead and prepare."

Upon hearing that Jimmy had arrived, Isaac also ca out and toasted everyone a drink, left his business card, and then retreated.

Jimmy picked up the glass: "Thank you all for the hard work investigating my case recently, a toast to everyone."

Not many people were there today: Hughes, Ruiz, Peter, Mahong, Philicia—except for Peter, the rest had recently sacrificed much of their normal work for Jimmy's sake, worrying imnsely. Now that the case was suspended, they might as well relax with a couple of drinks.

Peter: "Jimmy, is this bar yours now?"

Jimmy smiled and nodded: "It's right next to my apartnt, I used to co here quite frequently. It just so happened the previous owner wanted to leave New York, so I took it over casually. It wasn't much money, and I won't lose on it. Woody's a great bartender, you guys should drop by for a drink whenever."

The others also sported knowing grins, fully aware that among the agents Jimmy was considered wealthy, earning a whopping one million eight hundred thousand a year while a normal junior agent fetched only a few tens of thousands, and even a senior agent made just around a hundred thousand a year.

Of course, those present weren't your regular agents; though not as wealthy as Jimmy, none were poor.

However, Jimmy's behavior of purchasing a bar just because he frequented it was sowhat unbearable, damn these rich folks.

After one drink, Jimmy called Woody over to serve more drinks, and everyone dispersed to chat among themselves. Jimmy sat next to Hughes, "Hughes, this next leave might take a while, OPR is..."

Hughes: "Mind your limits, just don't go overboard. Also, I'll remind you again, make sure your reason can withstand scrutiny."

Jimmy: "Yeah, I'm figuring out a way. My concern is its potential impact on our office folks."

Hughes: "Don't worry too much, I'm not retired yet."

Hughes picked up his glass and clinked it with Jimmy's, then called out to everyone: "I'm not staying long, don't drink too much."

After finishing the drink in his glass, Hughes left. True, it was indeed not very comfortable when the boss was around. The rest being senior and supervisory agents who were all acquainted, there wasn't much pressure.

After finishing the drinks, everyone headed ho; Jimmy contacted Torsten from the DEA's Dallas office. Previously, he had provided information on Azte second-in-command, Tim Spark, but Jimmy hadn't had the ti to follow through.

This ti, it mainly involved Azte, so he scheduled a eting to have a good talk when the ti ca.

Torsten agreed nonchalantly on the phone; Jimmy just needed to give him a heads-up when he was on his way.

Around midnight, Tom finally returned the call; Jimmy briefly explained the situation, and Tom left him a mobile number and na to contact directly once Jimmy arrived.

He truly was once responsible for managing the southwest sector, possessing ample resources. However, the only downside was he couldn't provide a reason for him to head to the southwest.
