Jimmy, with the assistance of Cohen, registered his qualifications as an instructor. Naturally, this was already settled by the academy; it was rely a procedural step with Cohen's help.

After registering, Jimmy collected two sets of instructor uniforms, and his path as an instructor began.

Jimmy changed into his instructor's uniform and proceeded to the firing range, where a group of people were already familiarizing themselves with firearms under the guidance of an instructor, learning disassembly and assembly. Jimmy wore a black uniform, while the students wore brownish-yellow, which made it easy to distinguish during academy hours. Of course, it was harder to recognize everyone when they dressed casually after classes.

Jimmy did not disturb them but rely stood aside to watch the students disassembling and assembling handguns. This was a course he was familiar with, a required subject for each student. Among these students, a few were very familiar with firearms; it was clear from their speed and precision, and from their stance, it was evident they had undergone military training before, possibly being veterans or coming from a family with military background.

"Hey, Jimmy! How about giving them a demonstration?" Instructor Spencer suggested with a smile after noticing Jimmy standing by.

Jimmy waved his hand, "No thanks, Spencer. My arm injury hasn't completely healed, it's not very convenient right now."

Spencer took a look at Jimmy's arm, "Really? What happened?"

Jimmy replied, "A fracture. It's been a month. It should be about healed in another half month or so."

Spencer, disappointed, let go of Jimmy's arm, "That's too bad. I was hoping you could teach them a lesson."

Jimmy said, "These folks just arrived not long ago. We have plenty of ti ahead, no rush. Noticed any promising talents?"

Spencer replied, "It's too early to tell, but there are a few with potential."

Jimmy nodded, "You continue. I'll just watch for now."

Jimmy was still in the familiarization phase. Once he was fully recovered, he would start teaching. Observing other instructors was also a way to prevent any blunders when he began.

After watching for a while, Jimmy returned to the teaching building. Besides working as an instructor, he was also auditing so courses, mainly case analysis.

Thus, the uneventful days passed by, and three weeks later, Jimmy had already requested leave in advance because he could not miss Jas's retirent party.

In those three weeks, Jimmy's bone injury had completely healed. To ensure there were no issues, he even made a special trip to the hospital for an X-ray and, pulling out his ID, asked the doctor to confirm it several tis. After consulting with a few doctors over Jimmy's X-rays, they concluded that the fractures in both his arms and collarbone had totally healed in less than two months; there were no issues.

That was a necessary step, considering Jimmy needed to fire guns. If the fractures had not fully healed, the vibrations and recoil from shooting could easily cause the bones to fracture again.

Now, with several doctors' confirmations, Jimmy was finally ready to test his new Python at the firing range. Taking advantage of an empty range, Jimmy brought a box of bullets and thoroughly tested the Python. It felt great, and the 6-inch barrel suited his handling style. The recoil from the .357 Magnum bullets was sothing he was already accustod to. After firing over a dozen bullets with ease, Jimmy packed up the gun and returned to his dormitory.

During this ti, Jimmy had assembled 20 armor-piercing bullets. He did not continue with more as this type of bullets was not needed in large quantities, and he only kept six in his gun holster.

The day of Jas's retirent party arrived, and Jimmy changed into his clothes and rushed to Washington Dulles International Airport with his suitcase. Although he was already working at the academy, he still had his FBI identity, so he boarded the plane with his gun. Since the new Python revolver was not yet registered, he was still carrying an M686-1.

When Amy notified Jimmy, she specifically ntioned wanting to give Jas a surprise, which is why Jimmy didn't contact anyone else but went directly to a hotel near the police station and then to Justin's bar.

It was already the afternoon by the ti he arrived, and the bar was still closed, but Jimmy knew Justin was surely inside. He knocked on the door, and sure enough, Justin ca to greet him.

Jimmy extended his arms and embraced Justin. "Long ti, no see. You look exactly the sa."

Justin replied, "What are you talking about? We just t a few months ago. Co in, your drink is ready."

Jimmy laughed, "I knew I could count on you. Let see it first."

Justin said, "McLaren Whiskey, 50-year-old vintage, acquired from soone's private collection. You don't see this around often."

Jimmy looked at the wooden box in front of him, opened it, and took out the bottle, "How much?"

Justin replied, "One Gold Coin. I got it through a job I posted."

Jimmy nodded, placed the whiskey back in the box, and took out a Gold Coin from his pocket to give to Justin.

The Gold Coin was actually intended for paynt for customizing the Python, but Kyle Morgan apparently did not know about the existence of the coin. Clearly, he was not in the hotel system but rather a personal contact of Winston, so Jimmy had signed a check for him and not used the Gold Coin, which conveniently could be given to Justin.

Jimmy said, "OK, I'll keep it for now. I don't want to carry it around all the ti. Pour a drink. I haven't had one in a while."

Justin asked, "How have you been recently?"

Jimmy replied, "Nothing much, just working on cases."

After enjoying two drinks at the bar, Jimmy retired to a small room to rest. He was the surprise guest for the evening party and couldn't let anyone see him before then.
