Ruiz shook his head, "No need. I've seen this type before. Gangs trying to use us to get rid of their rivals—it's been the sa for decades, and their tactics are consistently poor. How's Mahong doing?"

Jimmy, "I'm dealing with other things right now, unrelated to him. Okay, I'm leaving first."

Jimmy didn't return to the office. Hughes had arranged for him to handle the Watson matter, so he temporarily set aside the bureau's cases, which also provided an opportunity to see if the newcor, Mahong, could handle it.

On his way to the Anti-Terrorism Bureau, Jimmy had a realization: the FBI was still too conspicuous. In the eyes of anyone scheming, a combination like the Victoria Crown with a suit was a big giveaway. After testing the waters, it was relatively easy to confirm one's identity. He must have been rather unlucky, getting targeted while parked and observing others, then Cohen ca to test him. After he was captured, he sent a ssage that made the FBI take action.

It was necessary to switch cars. He had already alerted them when he returned in the Suburban from headquarters, but they hadn't agreed yet. He'd have to go back and insist on replacing his current Victoria Crown.

Back at the Anti-Terrorism Bureau, Watson was already in the command center. Upon seeing Jimmy, he waved him over to the hallway, "You caught soone yesterday?"

Jimmy's expression changed. Damn, he hadn't ntioned the arrest to the Anti-Terrorism Bureau, and the person was sent directly to the FBI. How did he know?

Watson, "Bring him over, our people will interrogate him."

Jimmy, "That guy was just trying to rob . After the interrogation, we let him go. I don't have ti for such minor issues right now."

Watson, "He might be connected to the Boxer. We need to interrogate him."

Jimmy said irritably, "It's impossible he's connected to the Boxer. I've just arrived at the Anti-Terrorism Bureau and haven't t with anyone else since taking over the case. If soone was waiting to attack after his signal appeared last night, then any of you could be the mole. It's not possible for him to get my information so easily unless soone here leaked it, or he wasn't outside at all and has been watching us from this building."

Watson's expression grew darker. He looked at Jimmy for a mont, nodded, and then turned and left the command center, probably heading back to his own office.

Jimmy was also disgruntled. He opened the door to the command center and entered, "Do we have the results of yesterday's surveillance investigation?"

Staff mber, "Screen three. We've reviewed the surveillance of the last known location of the signal. We didn't capture his movents. What's displayed now are his previous movents, and only three surveillance areas have content."

From the angles of the surveillance monitors on the screen, they seed to be traffic monitors, which really didn't offer much resolution for pedestrians walking along the road.

Staff mber, "Because of the limited surveillance coverage, we can't determine where he ca from or where he disappeared. These three surveillance videos only help us identify his general appearance without providing any other clues."

Jimmy, "Did you locate the position where the signal appeared around 11 o'clock last night?"

Staff mber, "It's confird, it was an entrance to a sewer. Our people have checked the site, and two loose manhole covers were found nearby. We're still not sure at which entry point he was active."

Jimmy, "But we can roughly assu he moved through the underground network. Pay attention to the next signal, and make sure to locate it as soon as possible."

Staff mber, "Understood."

Jimmy turned his head toward Watson's office. The wait was unbearable. If Watson could provide the Boxer's previous safe houses and other residences, he could head to the site now for investigation. He had an advantage over other investigators as he could detect if soone was inside without going near the house.

Unfortunately, his ability was utterly useless without a specific target.

Approaching noon, Jimmy was contemplating whether to go out for lunch when suddenly an alert sounded, "Target signal detected, location, Tis Square."

Jimmy, "Mobilize the surrounding surveillance. There are many caras here. Call once the location is confird."

Jimmy burst out the door; Tis Square wasn't far from the Anti-Terrorism Bureau, but there was one problem—the traffic in Manhattan during the day was not at all friendly.

Jimmy parked his car by the side of the road, got out, and walked onto Tis Square. Wearing sunglasses, he moved around while observing the surrounding people. Jimmy wasn't holding a phone but wore a single Bluetooth headset connected to the Anti-Terrorism Bureau command center. He was now waiting for the staff to identify the source of the signal from the surveillance.

Although Tis Square isn't very large, the number of people during the day was terrifyingly high. Jimmy, only 183cm tall—a bit above average—wasn't tall enough to stand out. It wasn't possible to directly observe the many passersby. Determining positions through surveillance first and then visually confirming upon closer inspection was the best thod for finding soone.

Jimmy ambled across Tis Square, his eyes darting behind the sunglasses, trying to appear normal, but he still couldn't help feeling tense.

The hints Watson gave were a bit too much—skilled in combat and boxing, proficient with various firearms. If the Boxer didn't get close, Jimmy could easily take him down. But if he inadvertently let him get close, although Jimmy's neural reflex might be sufficient to see the assailant's moves clearly, his body might not be able to keep up.
