But just like the M686, the 1875 had the sa issue—each shot would only produce a white marker, which didn't make sense. Given that it had greater power and caused more damage, theoretically, its efficiency should have been higher. So why was the actual effect the sa as the M686's?

The guns of Roland and his fellow Gunn shouldn't have such limited capability. Jimmy was aware of his limits—his own M686 might have killed too many people, gaining so extra abilities, but it was nothing compared to a Gunman's weapon. After all, those were the tools Roland and the Gunman relied on for their livelihood, constantly battling against Demons and Evil Spirits. With such ager damage, how much ammunition would they need to carry with them?

Jimmy had seen Roland's holster; the belt holster at most carried 30 rounds. Based on Jimmy's experience, where it took 24 bullets to kill an Evil Spirit, Roland and his peers couldn't keep up with such expenditure.

It seed that Jimmy was using it incorrectly. The Gunman's weapon must have a special way of being used to unleash greater lethality in the hands of a Gunman. Jimmy pondered for a long ti and finally decided to utilize his own "Heart Eye" Skill to see if it could enhance the gun's power. Roland had ntioned that Jimmy's Heart Eye was their Flash Spirit ability. Since it belonged to the sa system, it should be interchangeable; the only issue was that Jimmy still wasn't sure exactly how to go about it.

Jimmy got up, changed his clothes, and, just like the day before, carried an extra 1875 on him in case another Evil Spirit appeared.

Returning to the FBI office, Jimmy went straight to Hughes, "Hughes, I need another favor from you. We sent over two bodies this morning, and I need them prioritized. It's urgent."

Hughes frowned, "What have you done now?"

Jimmy, "I found a clue yesterday, and last night I almost caught another serial killer, but unfortunately, he died too."

Hughes stared at Jimmy in disbelief, "Did you kill him?"

Jimmy quickly waved his hands, "No, he died on his own, which is why I want the forensic doctor to examine him first, to establish the cause of death."

Hughes returned to his desk, picked up the phone, and looked at Jimmy, "You can go, I'll call now. Co back as soon as you've figured it out, I need an explanation."

Jimmy nodded, "I'll co back as soon as I'm certain."

For two consecutive days, Jimmy had been visiting the forensic office, waiting for autopsy results, only this ti it seed to be moving quicker.

It was the sa senior forensic doctor as yesterday. Seeing Jimmy, he said, "How did you find this person? He's in the sa condition as the body from yesterday, with internal organ damage but no external injuries. Asphyxiation is the cause of death again."

Jimmy, "Have you heard about this condition from anyone else?"

The senior forensic doctor shook his head, "No, it's very rare. None of the colleagues I've contacted have seen anything like this."

Jimmy, "I see. I've got urgent matters to attend to and need to get back quickly. Please issue the autopsy report as soon as possible."

After saying this, Jimmy turned to leave but was suddenly stopped as the senior forensic doctor grabbed his arm, "You haven't told how you found him."

Jimmy looked at the senior forensic doctor and shook his head, "The case is very complicated, and I can't reveal any information about it for now. I'm heading back to the precinct to work on this. I'll tell you about it when I get the chance."

The forensic doctor let go of his arm, then gestured for Jimmy to get out of there as quickly as possible.

Jimmy headed back to the precinct. There were still many uncertainties—like where their Evil Spirits ca from, how they communicated, and how the person behind it all controlled the Evil Spirits. However, Hughes had already asked, and Jimmy needed to update him on the current situation.

Given that Lambert from Dallas was aware of the supernatural incidents, Hughes, the old man from New York, must also know, and given his position in New York, it was theoretically more significant than Dallas. Therefore, theoretically, his rank should be even higher than Lambert's. The variety and number of ssy issues in New York surely surpassed those in Dallas.

Jimmy returned to his office, organized all the materials, and ca to Hughes' office with a thick pile of docunts.

Hughes, "Are these all the materials for this case?"

Jimmy, "Yes, this case started with four taxi drivers' homicide cases reported by the NYPD." Jimmy pulled out the first four cases and handed the files to Hughes.

Jimmy, "These four cases share similar characteristics, the Assassin used a silencer in the last three incidents and covered his hands with glue, leaving no fingerprints or other trace evidence in the cabs. I later pulled so strings and got a lead from a holess man—the shooter was a white male, 170-175cm, wearing a hat and glasses." He then took out photocopies of the CCTV footage.

Jimmy, "The case was delayed for a while because I was involved in a mission with the Court Police. During that ti, Nick used his connections to get a surveillance video, which led us to Dave's records." Jimmy took out the image of Dave from the surveillance footage, still unclear, and passed it to Hughes, who glanced at it and nodded.

Jimmy, "I searched the area where he vanished from the surveillance for a long ti until, with Ruiz's help, an informant gave up his location. We just hadn't confird the exact room, so we set up a surveillance team—this was what I applied for with you earlier." Hughes continued nodding.

Jimmy, "That's when the surveillance team spotted a person matching the description, Dave. We tracked him down around 11 pm and found him killing a holess man in Queens. After that, we captured him. Since I caught him red-handed, he confessed to the murders of the holess under the advice of his lawyer. Here are the records of his two interrogations."
