After hanging up the phone, a smile on Jimmy's face just wouldn't go away. Dave, this guy, really didn't shy away from the macabre, first killing a taxi driver and then, probably worried about the repercussions, he targeted holess people.

As long as the lab report cos out, coupled with the fact that Dave admitted today that the three guns were his and he had possessed them for at least half a year with no one else touching them, it could be legally inferred that he was also behind the previous cases.

Chuck's thinking was truly spot-on. He had dealt with two holess homicide cases and imdiately suspected they might be linked to the taxi case. It seems the old detective's Sixth Sense was indeed strong—this was experience that couldn't just be derived from books alone.

Jimmy looked at the ti, knowing that he definitely wouldn't get the report today. He'd wait until tomorrow. Once the report ca in, they'd interrogate Dave again, making sure he couldn't wriggle his way out this ti.

Jimmy's phone rang. He glanced at it—it was soone from the forensics departnt. He answered the call, "Jimmy, did you go to Dave's apartnt?"

Jimmy: "No, I only went there once with you all, and haven't been back since."

Forensic staff mber: "I'm planning to go back to conduct another search, trying to gather so extra fingerprints from the furniture to see if anything was missed, but when I got there, the door was ajar and the place was a complete ss."

Jimmy frowned. Was this a break-in? "What did you find at the scene?"

Forensic staff mber: "I haven't checked yet. I just arrived."

Jimmy: "Notify your team, bring a few more people, and re-examine that apartnt. I'm on my way."

This was really annoying. Damn it, the door had the NYPD tape on it. Normally, thieves wouldn't dare enter seeing that. It's an unwritten rule, as this indicates a cri has occurred in the place. If they left fingerprints or any other traces, they could get themselves burned. These guys aren't fools.

Jimmy rushed over and indeed found the place was turned over as if soone was searching for sothing.

Jimmy: "How's the examination going?"

Forensic staff mber: "We have lifted so fingerprints and will check them once back. We had only taken photos before, now with everything so ssy, it's impossible to restore it to how it was, and it's also hard to determine if anything was taken."

Jimmy: "Thanks for your hard work. Once you've collected everything here, head back and verify."

Jimmy surveyed the apartnt, frowning before leaving. There was definitely sothing else going on with Dave; he'd have to inquire tomorrow.

The next morning, as Jimmy was about to make breakfast, his phone rang. It was the detention center.

"Detective Yang, during our morning check-up, we found your suspect, Dave Frank, dead this morning. An inmate from the cell next to his is also dead. I've already contacted the forensic doctor's office, and they will send an ambulance as soon as possible to confirm."

Jimmy: "What? What happened? I interrogated Dave yesterday, and he was fine then."

"We're not sure either; when asked, an inmate from the next cell said soone in Dave's cell had scread early this morning, then it was silent. We only discovered it this morning."

Jimmy: "I'm coming right over. Ask the ambulance to wait before taking them away."

Jimmy, disregarding breakfast, dressed quickly, grabbed his gun, and headed out.

The detention center. When Jimmy arrived at Dave's cell, Dave was lying on his back on the bed. The prison guard next to Jimmy said, "He had been lying on his side before. This morning, he wouldn't get up. Our guy nudged him, and that's when he ended up like this."

Dave's face was pale, his eyes open, his mouth wide, but the bandages on his body had no bloodstains, basically indicating the previous gunshot wound hadn't burst open, and no other wounds were found.

Jimmy moved to the next cell, where another person had died. His expression was far more grueso, his face contorted, his eyes wide open, his mouth also open, although it seed like his muscles had contracted, making it slightly closed.

"Looks like he might have been scared to death?" Jimmy frowned and asked the nearby dics.

The ergency doctor nodded, "Possibly, but we'll need an autopsy to confirm. From the look of it, there seems to be no visible wounds on either of them."

Jimmy waved his hand: "Take them to the forensic doctor. I'm going to check the surveillance footage," he said, then turned and headed to the guard's monitoring room.

Jimmy: "I need to see last night's surveillance."

The guard didn't delay; two people had died, and this was serious trouble. He imdiately paused the current surveillance, switched the tape, and placed last night's tape into an adjacent TV to play.

Jimmy: "Do you only have surveillance in the hallways?"

Guard: "Yes, we only have caras in the hallways and the common areas. There are none in the cells."

The surveillance footage showed that last night, apart from two guards on night patrol, no other individuals appeared within the cara's range.
