Razor didn't take the note, instead he looked at Jimmy, "I've already helped you once."

Jimmy nodded, the last ti they caught the dismbernt case's murderer was thanks to the information provided by Razor, of course, it was mostly for Ruiz's face last ti.

Razor said nothing, and Jimmy stopped talking too. The two n were about the sa height, looking at each other's faces, creating a bit of a standoff on the scene.

After waiting for a while, Jimmy spoke first, although it seed a bit like showing weakness. "In the past month, there have been four incidents involving taxi drivers being killed. Razor, we need stability, anyone who breaks the rules is our enemy, and of course, they may be your enemies too."

Razor was silent for a few seconds, "Was that video played on the TV last ti you?"

Jimmy nearly didn't catch on. Hadn't the video issue already been dealt with by releasing his photo? No, he was talking about the second video, "You know."

Razor reached out and took the note from Jimmy's hand, "Just like we talked about before, for peace, for friendship."

Jimmy, "You will be compensated."

Razor extended his hand to shake hands with Jimmy, then turned around, returned to his car, and quickly drove away.

Watching Razor leave, Jimmy thought to himself that Razor was indeed a smart man. If he weren't gang-related, he could probably succeed in any other field. Sharp-minded, with strong judgent, to be a leader showed his organizational skills were strong—of course, that ant his thods were definitely ruthless too.

Such a man could never be a friend, but if he could remain this clear-headed, as Jimmy's potential informant, Jimmy wouldn't mind communicating with Ruiz to give Razor a slightly more comfortable life.

The FBI also had funds for informants, it's just that Jimmy currently wasn't in a position to develop informants, but Ruiz had the authority. Given the relationship between Jimmy and Ruiz, taking care of soone without violating principles shouldn't be a problem.

Jimmy returned to the station. Now it was ti to look into the previous three victims. Unfortunately, all three were standard working-class individuals with no clear enemies from their background. Jimmy spent so ti visiting the families of the three, expressing his condolences and urging them to handle their grief properly, then he began to ask about their situations, friends, and disputes.

After visiting so friends of the victims, Jimmy finally gave up on this avenue. Clearly, in these four cases, although it couldn't be certain, at least so were random murders or robbery homicides without any specific targets. It didn't even rule out that the fourth case was also a random murder, only that due to Diego's role, he had more possible reasons for being killed than the others.

Days of investigation passed with no substantial clues, Jimmy finally had to ask Chuck to reach out to the New York Taxi Driver Association to see if they had received any possible leads. Jimmy was not willing to make an appearance himself, preferring not to have the target on him for the ti being.

Intelligence analyst Nick had already investigated the driving records of the four victims before their deaths, with corresponding nodes and intersections marked. Jimmy contacted NYPD to request the assistance of their patrol officers to investigate surveillance at various locations, or if anyone rembered the taxis and passengers around that ti.

This part of the investigation required a lot of manpower and ti, sothing Jimmy couldn't push with Chuck's connections alone, so he first reached out to an acquaintance from his NYPD days, through whom he contacted the police captain in charge of patrol officers. After so discussion, he also used Hughes as leverage to add so weight to his request, all without Hughes's knowledge. He just hoped the police captain wouldn't be petty and confront Hughes about it.

With everything in place, Jimmy could finally breathe a sigh of relief. These kinds of cases with no clear leads were truly exhausting. The New York Taxi Driver Association had already given a few interviews. Previously, a dozen incidents of taxi driver murders occurred per year, averaging slightly over one a month, but there had already been four lately, seriously exceeding the usual rate. They were under a lot of pressure. Now, New York taxi drivers were already on edge, especially after the broadcast of the deaths. The number of taxis operating after midnight had decreased, and there were complaints from the public already.

Jimmy called Nia, intending to ask her out for the weekend, but as it turned out, she was off duty today, so he invited her to have dinner at his place in the evening, with him doing the cooking.

Jimmy left work early, having already called a restaurant next to his apartnt, which he frequented and was really familiar with. They had a great Beef Wellington; Jimmy chose to take ho a semi-prepared dish and finish it in the oven. He also packaged so appetizers, grilled kelp, roasted pumpkin, and a portioned vegetable salad.

Plus desserts from the nearby pastry shop, macarons and cream puffs that Nia liked, albeit not from her favorite store. Jimmy got himself an orange milkshake.

In the evening, Jimmy opened the door to welco Nia, "Nia!" He imdiately reached out and hugged her, and they kissed right there at the door. After the embrace and kiss, Jimmy showed Nia around his ho.

Nia looked at the whiteboard on the wall of the study, which was filled with Jimmy's investigative results over ti, though there was no significant conclusion. "How's the case coming along?" Nia wasn't the kind of woman who was all love and no brains. Despite her privileged background, she earned her stripes as a detective, or else she would have chosen a managent position for easier promotions. She was also sowhat invested in this case, originally belonging to her and Chuck.
