Nuer's house in Newark was a detached apartnt with many rooms and ample space. He had set up quite a number of bombs, with at least 20 pounds of C4 already disard by the bomb squad. The C4, each separately fitted with a detonator, was dispersed throughout the house. Once the electronic switch at the door was triggered, it would definitely be enough to reduce the entire house to ruins. Of course, his neighbors would be unlucky too, but it was estimated Nuer wouldn't care about that.

After the successful disarmant of the bombs, before Jimmy and his team arrived, Newark's evidence technicians had already entered the house to start collecting evidence. A lot of ash was seen in the fireplace, and it was determined on the spot that it had been dealt with before he left. It was estimated that no written materials were found in the room either. But after all, it was the place where he had lived for many years, and there were still many things in the room, including hidden weapons racks. The safe that had been opened was also empty, probably indicating that even if there had been important items, Nuer would have taken them with him.

When Jimmy and Riley arrived at the scene, this was the situation they saw. It had to be said, as the mastermind, Nuer really took his planning seriously. At the sa ti, his habits were very good. He had organized everything in the room neatly, and he was able to eliminate all evidence very quickly when he decided to flee, basically leaving nothing behind.

Jimmy activated Heart Eye Observation in the room—not out of distrust for the evidence technicians' search of the room, but as his own habit, because if the hidden rooms and spaces were not solid, he could basically see them directly.

And indeed, there was a discovery. It was normal for such a house to have a basent, and the basent had already been discovered, but Jimmy found another space on the side of the basent, and the entrance seed to be under the basent staircase.

Jimmy put on gloves, opened the basent door, and went down. He carefully observed and found a brick under the staircase that could be removed. When he pulled out the brick, there was a handgrip recess on the side. It looked like this was it. Just by pulling the hidden chamber behind it would be revealed.

"Riley, call them down here, there is a secret chamber." Jimmy didn't go out and simply shouted loudly from the basent, and soon Riley ca down with three other people.

"Here, opening this should be the secret chamber." Jimmy waited for them to co over, then reached out and pulled the recessed handle, easily opening a concealed door. This door was made of wood, but covered with a layer of cent, so it looked like the wall beside it, and since it was located under the basent stairs, it was hard to notice without careful inspection.

"Jimmy, how did you know there was a concealed door here?" Riley was very surprised. The basent had already been checked by their people before they arrived, and they hadn't discovered it at all.

"It's easy to judge. Even if Nuer were planning to escape, he wouldn't have cleared out the room so cleanly. There had to be hidden places to store things, making it easy for them to arrange for others to co later to retrieve items or for him to sneak back in and reuse them quietly," Jimmy replied offhandedly, looking at the open concealed door.

"What I an is, how did you know the concealed door was in the basent?" Riley didn't let Jimmy off the hook and continued to pursue the question.

Jimmy rolled his eyes, really annoyed. The people from Manhattan wouldn't ask so many questions, sigh. "Because this house, from its exterior shape and the structure inside, basically had no space for a secret room. So, if there was one, it had to be underground. The rest was just coming down to the basent, carefully observing the walls to find it. The brick that could be pulled out was the clue I found."

After opening the door, Jimmy stepped aside to make room for the forensic technicians to enter. It was better for them to handle the investigation of the evidence.

"Wow, major haul." The space inside wasn't big, and only two people entered. They started to take things out one by one, placing them on the open space in the basent.

Watching them take out the items, Jimmy finally felt at ease. The first things brought out were maps with marked locations, photos of individuals pinned on them, and various routes. There were also so docunts next to them. Jimmy picked up one and glanced at it. It was a cargo transportation list. All that was left was to go back and cross-reference with other evidence and testimonies to determine whether they had collected everything.

There were also so religious items, showing that Nuer was still a devout believer; otherwise, he wouldn't have stored these in the secret chamber. For the United States, having a different faith itself wasn't too problematic for so people.

Although they hadn't captured the person, the evidence had been almost entirely collected, and it was ready for closing the case and submitting it to the Federation Prosecutor. They would initiate litigation against those already captured, and a warrant could be arranged for Nuer thereafter. For the Aricans, transnational arrest warrants were not a big issue, especially since Nuer's escape direction was France. As NATO's little brother to the United States, many matters were easily managed.

The people in the Newark office were cooperative, agreeing to organize and transfer the evidence from here to the Manhattan evidence warehouse after their investigation. Therefore, Jimmy didn't need to continue waiting here and could return and await updates. It wasn't that he was being negligent, but he had already reported to Hughes, and Hughes had also agreed to this handling approach.

Jimmy returned to the Anti-Terrorism Bureau, where Gordon and Scott were still waiting for Jimmy's conclusions. Only after Jimmy had reported the investigation results to them and Noah in the eting room did the case co to a close.
