Jimmy and Riley escorted Joe Coleman to the Anti-Terrorism Bureau building, where Kerry had been waiting, he arranged for soone to take over custody, and told Jimmy to go find Noah directly.
Jimmy and Riley arrived at the command center together, where Noah was already present. Seeing Jimmy and his group, he ca out and took them, along with Agent Gordon, back to his own office.
Noah: "Let's talk about the situation."
Jimmy glanced at Riley, who was presumably eting Noah for the first ti, "This is Agent Riley Butler from Newark, he has brought a team to support our investigation.
On the street where the car vanished, we speculated that it had entered a garage, so we began questioning hoowners on that street. At Joe Coleman's front door, we were attacked.
At that ti, Joe Coleman was probably planning to escape; he had soone bring a truck over. People from the truck went into his room, and later, when he was about to show us the garage, the truck drivers ca out and started shooting at Riley. I killed them. Joe Coleman had already disguised himself with glasses and a fake beard, and his room was being packed up, including an unactivated bomb that we found.
By the ti we returned, the bomb disposal team had already arrived, the results were not yet clear."
Noah nodded, "Leave this man to Kerry, he will arrange the interrogation, you guys rest for now, and we will inform you when there's news."
Jimmy nodded and turned to leave when suddenly Gordon spoke up, "Jimmy, other than Joe Coleman, did you find anything else at the scene, like the masterminds behind this?"
Jimmy shook his head, "The onsite evidence collection was conducted by the Newark office, I am not clear on the details yet. They hadn't finished inspecting when we ca back. The three people I killed might be linked to the masterminds; it depends on their investigation, plus the truck."
By Riley's side, he ntioned: "My superiors have already arranged it, subsequent evidence and intelligence will be provided to you in sync."
Gordon nodded, "Alright, go downstairs and take a break."
It was already after the end of the workday, but since they had just caught Joe Coleman, who might be an engineer, naturally they couldn't leave on ti. The three of them returned to the eting room, now with only them.
Jimmy looked at the empty eting room and asked, "Where are Scott and the others?"
Gordon: "They went to investigate Javier Vance, his information has already been found here at the Anti-Terrorism Bureau; once his identity is confird, he will be arrested and brought back."
Jimmy took off his suit jacket, hanging it on the chair, and loosened his tie to relax himself, "Okay, then we can only wait. Riley, are you hungry? I'll contact them to order takeout."
Gordon: "No need, I've already arranged it." He checked his watch, "It should be delivered in about half an hour. Take a good rest for now."
Riley had no choice, since the al had already been ordered, there was no picking now, so the three of them just sat at the conference table and began to relax and zone out.
-----------------
Jimmy was familiar with the Anti-Terrorism Bureau's interrogation style, they needed to verify the results multiple tis, so results wouldn't co quickly, but the results from the FBI office in Newark were provided quickly.
Riley turned on the speaker: "OK, I can talk now."
"El Kroger is his real na. The house is registered in his na, Joe Coleman is an alias. We investigated his room, aside from the bomb, we found so weapons and electronic devices. The bomb disposal team has already disard the bomb – it was a 5-pound C4 explosive with a detonator inserted, but the tir hadn't been activated yet, so it didn't go off. We speculate he planned to set the tir when leaving, to destroy the site.
The three deceased persons were all undocunted, their driver's licenses found on them were fake, and their fingerprint information was not in the system. The truck ca from a rental company, rented out by Sam Coleman, one of the three. The trail stops here since all three are dead, and it's unclear what their final destination was."
Jimmy: "What about El Kroger's background? His education, work history, family situation."
"El Kroger is an immigrant from Oman, moved to the United States fifteen years ago, initially settled in Detroit, first job was in car sales, moved to Rutherford, New Jersey five years ago, his work details beyond that are unknown. He has no family, no criminal record, and in addition to Rutherford property, he currently owns an apartnt in Los Angeles, in West Hollywood."
Jimmy: "That property is crucial, send the address over, we'll arrange for soone to check it imdiately."
"Okay, I'll send it right away. No other leads for now, we are still fingerprinting the items from the room, hoping for new information."
Jimmy signaled to Riley, who spoke up: "Keep updated imdiately. Send the address over."
Jimmy looked at Gordon, "Gordon, we need to contact the Los Angeles office imdiately, since there was a bomb in El Kroger's Rutherford house, it's very likely he has similar devices in his Los Angeles property as well."
Gordon nodded, he didn't find Noah but pulled out his laptop instead, found the number for the Los Angeles office, and contacted the person in charge there.
Jimmy checked the ti; it was already past 8 in the evening. "Gordon, there probably won't be any results today, I have sothing to take care of tonight, I'll leave for a bit, call if there's any news."
