Rutherford is mostly made up of detached houses, not very far apart, with most belonging to a middle-class community. The architectural design is pretty much the standard Arican small-town look, and there are a lot of cars parked along the street. Jimmy drove to the location agreed upon by the Newark office agents.
Jimmy: "Manhattan agent Jimmy Yang."
Riley Butler: "Welco, I'm Riley Butler. We have found the vehicle you're looking for, but there's a problem. It should have entered this street, and we have people stationed at the intersections of the two streets on either side, with no sight of the car. It must be parked in the garage of one of the houses, but we haven't pinpointed its exact location yet."
Jimmy: "This is already very good, at least we've confird he's here. Thanks for your help."
Riley: "I want to ask, what kind of case is it that has you guys so urgently looking for this person?"
Jimmy: "He is suspected in a bombing attack, and we must apprehend him as soon as possible. We suspect he has created a massive bomb, which is extrely dangerous."
Riley nodded; nothing that happened in New York was surprising: "OK, how shall we investigate?"
Jimmy: "What we can confirm at the mont is that the suspect's na is Joe Coleman, but we suspect that na is fake. He is a middle-aged white male, around 40 years old, with a thin face, no beard, and brown curly short hair. Let's start looking. There are only about 20 houses on this street, and if we exclude the ones without garages, there aren't many left."
Jimmy and Riley conducted the investigation together, with Riley bringing four people over this ti. They first positioned two people at both ends of the street to prevent any surprises. Then they started knocking on doors house by house, showing their badges, and requesting to see if there was a silver car in the garage. Jimmy stood back while the main investigative work was carried out by Riley's team.
Black Rainbow not only quickened Jimmy's ntal responses but also further evolved his "Heart Eye," allowing him to see details more finely and enhancing the range quite a bit. For the current area, as long as he stood on the sidewalk, he could thoroughly view most areas inside the houses.
All cars in the garages that weren't sedans were excluded, Muscle cars among the sedans were excluded, leaving only the sedans of a regular four-door shape as potential targets. Unfortunately, Jimmy couldn't directly notify Riley, which would have saved a lot of ti.
There was no issue with the house in front, and Jimmy walked on past it to the next two houses. In the garage of the second house, he saw a sedan and only one person inside the house, who seed to be packing things. The person would occasionally co to the window to look outside and then go back to packing.
Jimmy felt there was sothing off about him. Would a normal person look outside the window while packing things? Such behavior either indicated they were eagerly waiting for soone or observing the outside for any activity. Discovering this anomaly, he couldn't discuss it with Riley for the mont. He returned to Riley's side, waiting for the hoowner to open the garage.
The sound of an engine starting up echoed in the street. Jimmy turned his head to see a box truck approaching and stopping outside the house that he had felt suspicious about. Three n got out of the driver's side and looked at Jimmy and the others, then walked into the house.
"Riley, sothing seems off over there," Jimmy said softly, while Riley was in front of the garage with the hoowner slowly opening the big garage door. Hearing Jimmy's voice, Riley turned to look at him.
"Not this one, his is a black SUV. Look over there," Jimmy gestured toward the truck.
Riley glanced at the garage, thanked the hoowner with a smile, and then they moved to the sidewalk to look at the box truck. "What's the problem?"
"That truck just stopped, and three n got out and entered the house. It might be just being oversensitive, but I have this feeling that sothing is off about them," Jimmy explained as best he could using the inexplicable "Sixth Sense."
"Any particular reason?" Riley didn't dismiss Jimmy's concerns but didn't proceed to that house as Jimmy hoped they would.
"No specific reason, just a feeling. Never mind, let's continue," Jimmy said, not elaborating any further. After all, they only had one more house left to check.
Riley looked at the others and nodded, and they walked to the next house.
After completing the sa procedure of checking, they ca to the house Jimmy found suspicious. "Knock, knock, knock," Riley stepped forward and knocked on the door. Since Jimmy had ntioned sothing seed off here, Riley, although sowhat skeptical, didn't take any chances and stood to the side of the door to knock.
Jimmy continued to observe the situation inside; four people were in a room, seemingly organizing sothing as if they were preparing to move. Hearing the knocking, one person walked through the living room to the door. "Who's there?"
"FBI, we have a few questions and would like to speak with you, please open up," Riley responded. The person at the door didn't open it right away but made so gesture to the others inside, and all their movents ceased at once, then the door opened.
"What can I do for you?" The person who opened the door was a white man, closely resembling the description given by Jimmy with brown short curly hair, but he wore glasses and had a mustache on his upper lip. He was wearing gloves with so dust and black marks on them; he seed to have been busy organizing sothing indeed.
"Hi, sir, may I have your na?" Riley flashed his badge and greeted the man as per protocol.
