When Jesse stepped out of the door, he definitely didn't notice Jimmy and the others. But after they followed for a while, he imdiately turned and sped up, clearly having been notified. As for who inford him, that remained unclear.

Jesse didn't have a registered mobile number, and Jimmy and the others couldn't directly pull records from the backend. They could only note the approximate ti just now and wait for an opportunity to get hold of Jesse's phone to investigate further.

The DEA agents were quite skilled at driving too. The only problem was that this disguised car was just a regular vehicle without hidden police lights or sirens, so they had to speed up to catch up. However, at an intersection, they had to reduce speed and avoid vehicles, allowing Jesse to escape.

After continuing two intersections forward without spotting Jesse's car, Jimmy and the others finally gave up. They had been taking turns watching Jesse's house all day, so it's normal for agents to be ntally exhausted, naturally affecting their driving ability. But now it's clear that the monitoring point across from Jesse's house must have observed Jimmy and the others following Jesse out.

After all, Jimmy and their car had been parked on the roadside all day. They imdiately followed Jesse once he left, making it obvious they were tailing him. The fact that there had been nobody monitoring the place in recent days had relaxed the people overseeing the surveillance a bit, almost leading Jimmy and the others to the drug lab.

The surveillance staff didn't follow up; instead, upon noticing Jimmy's car leaving, they imdiately contacted the higher-ups, who then notified Jesse. This took a bit of ti, but clearly, the interdiate steps weren't long, allowing Jesse to promptly change his driving style after just a few blocks.

Even though they lost him, Jimmy and the others did gain sothing. They now had enough reason to apply for surveillance on Jesse. It would no longer be just a single car staking out; they could consider applying technical ans.

Jimmy and the others returned directly to the DEA office, preparing bugging devices and wireless caras to install in Jesse's house, leaving in a disguised vehicle themselves.

Originally, Jimmy wasn't that urgent, but receiving a call from Charon at night made him a bit concerned. Better safe than sorry; he couldn't guarantee xican drug dealers wouldn't cause trouble in New York. The best approach was to nip them in the bud.

Returning to the hotel, Jimmy parked the car in the lot and plucked a hair from his head, wedging it in the car door, leaving just a small bit exposed. It wouldn't be noticeable unless deliberately looked for.

Before unlocking the door to his room, he checked it once from outside. At this critical mont, he needed to be extra cautious.

Once assured no one was in the room, Jimmy then swiped his card to enter, but first checked the room once more before resting.

This was no easy feat. There were too many possible bug locations in the hotel room, so Jimmy even checked the air conditioning and vents. Only after making sure every spot he could search was safe, did he comfortably undress and go for a shower.

Albuquerque was currently in sumr, yet Jimmy had gotten used to going out wearing suits and shirts. This was also due to business affairs, so after resting, Jimmy went to the mall to buy two more suits and several shirts for backup. He really was unprepared this ti, and had damaged one set back in Little Rock, which still pained him a bit.

The hair wedged in the car door was still there, indicating no one had opened it via the driver's door. Jimmy also gave the car a quick check, ensuring there were no obvious tracers before driving away.

Better safe than sorry. The fact that the opposition could accurately locate Hank's position and allowed the assassin to ambush him indicated they definitely had ways to pinpoint Hank's whereabouts. Whether through a tracker or physical tailing, it showed the opponent's strong capability.

Back at the DEA office, Hank was already there. Since Jimmy took over the case, Hank seed as if he was boosted with energy, though not exactly showing up on ti, he still spent a few hours during the day at the DEA office reviewing docunts.

Upon seeing Jimmy enter, Hank imdiately spoke: "Jesse disappeared. Our people staking out confird he didn't return ho."

Jimmy replied: "Hmm, this was expected. Hank, I need to find Jesse's network, his family, friends."

Hank said: "Already prepared, but I have a new discovery." He handed the murder case files to Jimmy, "This victim, Gale, was a strict vegetarian. His food and ingredients at ho were high-end organic vegetarian items, very particular. Yet..." He tapped a photo, "Why would there be Fried Chicken Brothers' napkins at his house? And there's a set of numbers on it."

Jimmy nodded, "I also think this Gus is suspicious. If that victim Gale was indeed the Heisenberg, could Fried Chicken Brothers be the distribution channel for his 'product'?"

Hank: "But we can't investigate Gus; his image is too positive and he has good connections up top."

Jimmy: "That's why you need . I don't have much rapport with the people here. Any results from the police investigation regarding the murder case?"

Hank: "Gale's neighbor saw a stranger that night. We've had a sketch artist make a drawing of the person, and I've asked Tim to prepare to fax it to later."
