It's just that when they saw Jimmy's FBI badge and the gun he revealed when he pulled back his clothes, no one voiced opposition. They simply left him alone and continued to gather around the fallen person, watching as they perford first aid and CPR.

Jimmy looked around the environnt, not leaving them unattended, and continued to wait for Cage. Fortunately, it wasn't far, and within a few minutes, Cage drove up beside Jimmy.

"First aid kit!" Jimmy shouted to Cage. Cage fetched the car's first aid kit and went to the person, but after checking the carotid artery and airway to confirm they were temporarily okay, there was nothing more he could do. Now they just had to wait for the ambulance.

Jimmy instructed Cage to register the identities of these people, then pulled the person who spoke earlier aside. "Where did you rest before? Take there later."

"Why?"

"I suspect he might have co into contact with or inhaled sothing hazardous. Otherwise, this kind of acute unconsciousness is rare. If you don't want a second person to experience the sa thing, it's best to check it out."

Jimmy's warning frightened him a bit, and the live example in front of him did scare him. He could only nod in agreent.

The ambulance arrived on the scene. Soone accompanied the unconscious person to the hospital, while Cage had already registered the identities of the others. They now took Jimmy and Cage to the campsite.

Jimmy kept a close watch on the surroundings as they chatted briefly with him. His FBI identity intimidated them from saying much. Cage drove the police car slowly behind. After a few turns, they arrived at a flat grassy area. A few large trees provided shade. It was a good choice of location, except that it was a bit far from the road.

Jimmy and Cage walked over, first circling the area. Then Jimmy asked Cage to check near their tent, while he went over to a tree to observe.

As they approached the camp from the road, Jimmy felt sothing amiss. So faint sounds entered his ears, and as he neared the camp, the sounds seed to grow slightly stronger but were still quite faint. After circling the area, he confird the direction of the sounds, ultimately pointing near this tree. However, after careful observation, he saw nothing.

Having wasted so ti checking, the group started packing up their tents and luggage. After such a troubleso incident, their camping plans were canceled. No one was in the mood to continue camping.

Jimmy and Cage left first. After Cage returned, Jimmy continued forward. There was definitely an issue with the place he had just discovered. However, he couldn't identify it at the mont or determine if it was Jimmy's target. He could only mark it for now and see if there were other problematic areas.

Jimmy's investigation quickly concluded. He found two more suspicious places, but like before, he couldn't confirm what they were. This was quite frustrating, though there were so findings. He thought it might be best to involve Royte Priest.

Getting back was easier. A few kiloters of jogging brought him back to the car. Jimmy had just lit a cigarette when he noticed Cage wasn't looking right in the police car parked next to him.

"Knock, knock, knock."

"Cage, wake up! It's over!... Cage?!"

Jimmy knocked on the glass, shouting, but Cage didn't wake up. He raised his arm and smashed the car window with his elbow, reached inside to open the door, and slapped Cage's face a few tis before Cage finally responded and woke up.

"How did I fall asleep?" Cage said groggily, yawning as he spoke.

Jimmy watched Cage with a grim expression. "Cage, tell the truth, where have you been before this?"

Cage: "No, I left ho in the morning and went to the police station. Then I ca here. What happened?"

"Did you fall asleep on your own just now? Why couldn't I wake you up? Do you know about Mary's situation?"

Jimmy's serious expression made Cage get out of the car. Jimmy checked Cage's eyelids and heartbeat before recounting the sequence of events after Mary's incident. First, she was lethargic and went to bed without dinner. Then she forgot Jas's na, followed by losing consciousness. The way Cage fell asleep just now was similar to Mary's first stage.

Cage was startled. He didn't feel much yet. After checking himself thoroughly, he said to Jimmy, "I didn't notice anything, nothing at all."

Jimmy: "Think back. From when you arrived here until you fell asleep, what did you do and where did you go?"

Cage took out his cigarette pack from his pocket, accidentally dropped it, but Jimmy quickly caught it. Still, several cigarettes scattered on the ground. Without minding the ones on the ground, Jimmy took one from the pack for Cage, lit it for him. Cage's hand was shaking, frightened by Mary's condition.

Cage took a couple of heavy drags before starting to recount what he and Noah did after blocking the road at this intersection. He ntioned that besides relieving himself by the roadside, he hadn't left the intersection. Until Jimmy called him, he went to his location. After that, they wandered around the camp with the others and returned to the intersection had not gone anywhere special.

Noah had left earlier following the command center's orders. Jimmy called Noah imdiately and found everything normal. He advised Noah to stay safe and notify him imdiately if anything felt off before returning to check the place where Cage had relieved himself, eliminating them one by one.

Eventually, they returned to the previous campsite where those people had stayed. It was completely empty now, but so trash was left behind by them. Jimmy asked Cage to step back a bit, intercept any incoming people on the road, and approached the suspicious tree.

This ti, he ca more prepared, drew a dagger with his left hand, and pulled out the exorcism badge from his pocket with his right hand. After a brief silent prayer, he pressed the badge against the tree.

Earlier, he vaguely heard so noise here but couldn't pinpoint the exact location. At one point, he even thought he was hearing things. Now with Cage's condition, he couldn't be sure whether he had discovered this place before.

"Screech..." A piercing sound erupted, the high frequency made Jimmy's teeth uncomfortable, fingers itch, and his whole body covered in goosebumps. The exorcism badge almost fell from his grip, but he held on, stabbing the tree with the dagger from his left hand. The noise continued.

He repeatedly stabbed and cut the tree, leaving several knife marks, yet the disturbing sound persisted. Nauseated, Jimmy had to pull back and distance himself from the tree.

From a distance, Cage hadn't heard the shrill noise, maybe because of the distance. Watching Jimmy hack away at the tree repeatedly before pulling back quickly, Cage realized sothing was wrong and imdiately drew his gun and ran over.

"Cage! Stay back! Call Royte Priest, tell him to bring the equipnt over."

Seeing Cage rush over, Jimmy shouted to stop him. The only exorcism priest he knew was Royte, and the situation onsite was tricky. He needed exorcism priests to clean up afterward or help eliminate certain entities.

Without knowing how to perform a purification ceremony himself, Jimmy left it to the priests to handle those not instantly eradicable. That's why he hadn't hurried to involve Royte earlier, being unsure of the situation. Otherwise, if Cage hadn't encountered problems, he would have headed back to rest.
