Jas spoke quickly and urgently, sothing Jimmy rarely hears from him. He imdiately said, "Slow down, calm down, tell , what happened to Mary?"

Jas took a deep breath, his rapid breathing audible through the receiver, "Mary attended a club hiking event yesterday. After coming ho in the evening, she started acting strange and went to bed without even eating dinner.

This morning, she woke up very late, initially just seed out of sorts, but by noon, she even called by the wrong na. I took her to the hospital, but they couldn't find any problems, so she's still hospitalized now.

I asked others, and they said yesterday, under the club's arrangent, they hiked in the West Suburb outside of Little Rock. Today, two others showed the sa symptoms as Mary, and hospital tests found no cause.

I suspect there's sothing wrong with the place they went, but I didn't know they chose the Beach Trail... You ntioned that place before, you have to know sothing, Jimmy, tell what's going on?"

Jimmy: "The Beach Trail in the West Suburb? That famous hiking spot?"

Jas: "Yes, I know there's sothing wrong there, I have the impression, but I don't know what's there exactly."

Jimmy: "Go find Priest Royte and let him take a look at Mary's situation."

Jas: "Are you sure?"

Jimmy: "Yes, let him check it out first, don't make a big fuss about investigating the Beach Trail, it's not safe."

Jas: "Okay, I understand, thanks, Jimmy."

Jas finished and hung up the phone. It seems he's really anxious, Jimmy frowned, thinking about this ss. Previously, when he visited Jas' ho, he had ntioned paranormal cases were increasing and advised them to avoid places like the outskirts and just stay ho after retiring or travel, but now sothing's happened, and in the sa damned place.

The first ti Jimmy knew there was a problem with the Beach Trail was when Cage warned him. There had been multiple missing person cases there, but given the environnt in the United States, a few disappearances wouldn't cause the authorities to close a famous tourist spot. Thankfully, the frequency of disappearances was very low, happening only once every few years, so it wasn't well-known, and those who knew naturally avoided the place.

Jimmy left the study and went upstairs to the nursery, where Nia was sitting by the window holding Liam. Though it's considered sunset, in the room, the sunlight was just right, not too hot, perfect for letting the little one get so sun.

Jimmy pulled a chair beside Nia and sat down next to her, reaching out to playfully tease Liam, softly saying, "I need to go to Little Rock, there seems to be sothing going on with Jas, I want to check it out."

Nia turned her head to look at Jimmy, "Is it urgent?"

Jimmy kept his eyes on Liam, his fingers teasing him, letting him grab them, "Yes, Mary's hospitalized, Jas was very tense when he called."

Nia: "Okay, you go, don't worry about ho."

Jimmy glanced at his watch, "Rember to call mom to co and help with the baby, I'll check flights, might stay there for one or two days."

Jimmy kissed Liam and Nia, got up, and went to the bedroom to pack his suitcase.

Nia watched Jimmy, feeling a bit worried too, although Jimmy didn't show anything unusual, he hadn't looked at her, and his expression was very serious. Clearly, this wasn't an ordinary matter. Mary wasn't simply ill or hard and hospitalized.

However, Jimmy hadn't told her the truth, which basically indicated that what happened there was similar to what she had experienced, a paranormal event far beyond her reach. Jimmy was doing it for her benefit, but in such situations, Nia felt very frustrated. In these matters, she was completely an outsider, unable to be involved at all.

Nia looked down at little Liam, picked him up and kissed his forehead. Jimmy had ntioned before that the church's people were always paying attention to Liam because he might inherit Jimmy's extraordinary physical traits and abilities. Perhaps in the future, little Liam would beco an exorcist too.

Indeed, Nia had long known Jimmy's physical traits were beyond ordinary. After all, they've shared a bed for years, and Jimmy needs only a little rest to sustain a day's work without showing fatigue. Clearly, his sleep routine is more about habit, as he wakes but waits until near dawn to rise.

It's not just his spirit; Jimmy's combat skills and fighting abilities are also at a superhuman level. Initially noticing Jimmy because of a video where he took down six people in seconds, and over the years, Jimmy's performance far exceeded that, clearly becoming stronger.

Perhaps her previous thoughts were wrong. If little Liam also inherits Jimmy's physical abilities, then the church's attention might actually benefit him more. If he were to follow an ordinary school path, very quickly he'd stand out too much from peers, causing potential hostility.

While heading to JFK Airport, Jimmy called Ruiz in advance, although skipping work had beco routine, notifying him of leaving New York for a few days was still necessary to prevent Ruiz from not finding him should an ergency occur.
