Under Heart Eye Vision, Jimmy saw the people in front gradually surrounding the car, so he didn't bother anymore. If they still let the people in the car ambush or escape under these circumstances, then it's just their long life; the SRT would collectively lose face.
He turned around and looked behind him; Morrison and Hope were already in the small room, with one guy lying on the ground, hands covering his head. It seed they weren't slow either.
Cleaning up the scene is a very troubleso task; Jimmy has always disliked getting involved in such things. Now that the battle was over, he directly went to the back door, patted Hope to keep an eye on the scene, walked in a circle to the car not far from the front door, opened the car door, and sat on the side of the driver's seat smoking.
A large-scale gunfight occurred here; it's estimated that the people nearby have already reported it to the police. It's just that this place is presumably at so distance from the police station—by the ti their gunfight ended, the police still hadn't arrived at the scene. This was a bit too slow.
After a while, Morrison also ca to Jimmy's side. Jimmy picked up the cigarette box and handed it to Morrison, "Want one?"
Morrison took it, drew out a cigarette, took out his lighter, and lit it, "Thanks."
Jimmy: "How are the injured brothers?"
Morrison: "Not too bad. One got shot in the leg and abdon, another in the shoulder and leg. Fortunately, they were wearing bullet-proof vests; the other party only had handguns, so at least there were no major fatal incidents."
Jimmy: "Did they catch Frank?"
Morrison: "Caught him; he was trying to escape in the car when SRT blocked him, but he got shot several tis. Let's see if he survives later."
Jimmy: "That's good; at least our main goal is settled. Check out this auto repair shop; with so many ard people, this place is definitely not simple. I think this should sufficiently compensate for the cost of deploying so many people."
Morrison shook his head with a smile, "Still have to thank you. I asked them just now; if it wasn't for you firing from behind, they might not have hurried to escape."
Jimmy waved his hand, "By the way, we still need to find Frank's escape route. If he plans to flee abroad by ship, this should be a hidden smuggling line, probably enough for you to investigate for a long ti."
Morrison: "It's okay; these things I can't handle alone, it'll likely require cooperation with others. How about you?"
Just as Jimmy was about to speak, police sirens sounded nearby; the red and blue lights flashed as two police cars quickly approached. He motioned towards the police cars with his chin, "You deal with it."
Morrison nodded, threw the remaining half of his cigarette to the ground, and stepped forward to communicate with the police.
Police involved in FBI cases can't intervene; they can only monitor and isolate the public around. The on-site investigation is entirely handled by the FBI. But seeing the deploynt of SRT's armored vehicles, they knew this matter was definitely not small; otherwise, the FBI wouldn't use such a large formation to raid an auto repair shop.
The ambulance arrived quickly. The paradics did not rush to take people away but first tried to provide ergency checks on all the injured. Only when subsequent ambulances ca did they start taking these people one by one. However, a few people were lifted onto the ambulances together, indicating their fate wasn't too lucky.
Morrison didn't wait for the entire on-site investigation to be completed, nor did he wait for the forensic and support agents arriving afterward. He and Jimmy took the uninjured ones back to the Baltimore office first.
Jimmy wasn't involved in Morrison's interrogation. His most important target, Frank, had been sent to the hospital for ergency treatnt. He had taken at least four shots—whether he can survive depended on the skill of the ergency doctors here.
Jimmy and Hope returned to the hotel to rest. The next day, when they returned to the Baltimore office, they saw Morrison with red eyes, operating on the computer.
Jimmy: "Morrison, didn't you rest?"
Morrison: "Yes, this case is particularly troubleso; I still need to handle a few things. Also, early this morning, Frank was declared dead by the doctor. It was quite late, so I didn't inform you."
Jimmy frustratedly slamd his hand: "Fxxk! A waste of effort. I was hoping to find those two missing agents through him."
Morrison: "Sorry, no one can control it; the scene was a bit chaotic yesterday."
Jimmy sighed, and Hope's expression wasn't good either. They had worked so many days, just tracked down the suspect, and the result brought back to Washington, D.C., was a dead person—plus their colleagues were still missing. Even if dead, they should find their bodies.
Jimmy: "Can the technical departnt help investigate Frank's previous cellphone track? I want to find all the places he went before, see if we can find our colleagues—even if it's just a certain ssage, it's better than taking nothing back."
Morrison nodded: "No problem; I will apply with the top. You wait a bit."
Jimmy and Hope said goodbye to Morrison; the remaining matters were no longer related to them. Jimmy and Morrison had made deals; they provided manpower to help handle Frank's case, and the subsequent gains belonged to Morrison.
With a terrible mood, Jimmy and Hope left the office, found a café to sit and rest. Both were in low spirits, didn't talk much, just silently drank coffee, and looked at the newspaper provided by the café.
