The case closure process is still lengthy. After all, the stolen artwork has not been completely recovered, but all the robbers involved in the heist have been caught or killed, so it can be considered wrapped up. The remaining task is to release information about the loot, and if anyone finds it later, it can be used as supplentary evidence.
These matters are no longer relevant to Jimmy. He t with Kevin, and after discussing the details, they went ahead with expedited orders for the invitations. Jimmy and Nia spent quite so ti following the agreed invitation list and began writing the contents.
Jimmy first wrote the invitations that needed to be personally delivered by him; the rest beca quicker. He even only had to sign them while Nia helped write the rest since they were all authored by the couple themselves, which made it less concerning.
Once preparations were complete, Jimmy began making phone calls, ensuring everyone was ho before discussing leave with Ruiz's side. It was not yet his wedding leave, but because so invitations needed to be delivered were too far, even a weekend journey would still require one or two days' leave.
On the weekend, Jimmy grabbed his suitcase and headed to JFK airport, registered his identity, and flew to Little Rock.
The first invitation certainly had to be delivered to Jas, who has been one of the best people to him over the years, and Jas isn't considered a guest this ti, but rather participates as Jimmy's family.
In fact, Jas didn't need an invitation, but since it's Jimmy's first wedding, this invitation is strictly considered a wedding keepsake. It has Jimmy and Nia's signatures and the wedding's ti and place, which are significant pieces of information, making it an important item that Jimmy hopes Jas will keep one even if it isn't needed.
Jimmy erged from the airport and hailed a cab straight to Jas's ho. Jas had received the news in advance, so he and Mary were at ho waiting for Jimmy.
As soon as the door opened, before Jimmy could say anything, Mary rushed ahead of Jas to embrace Jimmy. She seed more enthusiastic with Jimmy and kissed his forehead: "Good boy, you finally grew up."
Jimmy hugged Mary: "Thank you, Mary."
Jimmy then embraced Jas: "Jas, it's been a while."
Jas: "Co in."
Jimmy dragged his suitcase into the living room, first opened it, took out the invitation and his gift, and handed them to Jas, "Jas, I really hope you and Mary can attend my wedding with Nia in May."
Jas: "Of course. Is the ceremony prepared?"
Jimmy: "Yeah, initially we planned to have the wedding at a hotel, since Nia's family aren't believers. However, I recently got help from so people, and temporarily moved the wedding to one of the oldest churches in New York, St. Andrew's Church, with the respected Priest White officiating."
Jas looked at Jimmy in surprise: "You got re-baptized?"
Jimmy chuckled, "You know, my believer status was thanks to your help. I didn't get re-baptized, but instead, I'm assisting as an exorcist outsider for the church, sort of a church insider, as a reward for helping them with a few matters lately."
Jas frowned: "What did you say? Exorcist? Dangerous stuff? What have you done for them?"
Jimmy: "Just so trivial things. I assisted in a few Exorcism Ceremonies, nothing serious, don't worry."
Jas: "Hmm, just be careful, things like this happen often?"
Jimmy: "According to the church, there's been a growing trend in recent years. How about around Little Rock? Heard anything?"
Jas shook his head: "I haven't been in contact with the police departnt for a long ti."
Jimmy: "Then you guys should be careful. The church hasn't specified numbers, but since there's this growing trend, it's best to avoid wilderness and be vigilant, always better safe than sorry."
Jas nodded: "I know. Stay for lunch, taste Mary's cooking, it's really good."
Jimmy: "Absolutely, thank you, Mary."
Jas got up and fetched a half-drunk bottle of Whiskey and two glasses. Jimmy accompanied Jas drinking and chatting while Mary got up to start preparing lunch.
In the afternoon, Jimmy's forr county police colleagues Cage and Noah visited Jas's ho. They were both at work, and originally Jimmy phoned asking for their whereabouts for a etup. However, upon learning that Jimmy was already in Little Rock and at Jas's house, they insisted on no more back-and-forth for Jimmy and drove over together in a police car.
They hadn't seen each other for a while. Cage was still as plump as ever, not seeing any weight loss issues, and Noah was much better, at least looking relatively normal physique-wise.
Jimmy hugged them, exchanged greetings with them and their families, and then handed them two invitations.
Cage: "Jimmy, no need to be so courteous, and have you deliver them. You could just mail them."
Jimmy: "Absolutely not, this is the place I once battled, I have to deliver them personally. Cage, how is your son Nick now?"
Cage glanced at Noah: "He's already completed police academy training and is now interning under Noah."
Noah: "Relax, Nick is doing great, has a proper attitude, and with overseeing him, he won't act recklessly."
Jimmy: "Glad to hear. I thought you'd send him over to the State Police."
