Jimmy didn't find anything unusual in the basent earlier, apart from the psychological pressure and a sense of physical chill.
This small religion called Chaos Gate seems sowhat off. After all, it's a religion, big or small; there should be so symbols or specific items, but Jimmy didn't see them in this small town or at the garbage recycling station.
Moreover, the statue Jimmy saw in the basent seems to have nothing to do with their so-called Chaos Gate. No texts were found at the site, nor any gate. Theoretically, a religion nad after a gate should have a very symbolic mark or item, but the basent only had statues, no so-called gate.
In fact, Jimmy is now considering whether what Priest Rodney and the others said before is true. If this really is the Chaos Gate Church headquarters, then it's too simple.
Maybe others wouldn't think too much like Jimmy, but he's an FBI agent, and a veteran one who has solved many cases. He truly wants to get to the bottom of what the statue here really is.
Back at the church, Priest Rodney and others discussed who would host the Exorcism Ceremony and how to destroy the statue. Jimmy listened, sowhat confused, as the five priests used many professional terms during their conversation, and he couldn't understand what they ant.
However, when it ca to discussing the destruction of the statue, Jimmy chid in, "Guys, isn't smashing the statue with hamrs a bit slow? I think using explosives might be more convenient?"
The priests suddenly froze, all turning their heads and gazing wide-eyed at Jimmy. The pressure was a bit strong, almost as if Jimmy had said sothing wrong, but having opened the conversation, he continued, "Your goal is to shatter the statue, so drilling so holes to place a little explosive inside the statue would blow it apart. All you need is a licensed Explosives Expert and a little bit of industrial explosives."
Priest Rodney blinked, genuinely surprised by this, and turned to look at the others. The priests were silent, never having used such a thod to destroy anything before.
Seeing their silence, Jimmy added, "You ntioned finding hamrs. With just us, it's unknown how long it would take to destroy the five statues there. Moreover, we surely couldn't smash them thoroughly. If we had a professional explosives person, a single explosion could shatter all the basent statues."
Priest Rodney waved his hand, "Jimmy, please wait outside for a mont."
Jimmy shrugged, turned to leave the church, and lit a cigarette outside. Such abandoned small towns are quite rare, after all, it's no longer the westward expansion era. Even small, such towns have upper managent institutions handling them. If rging or disbanding this town was an issue, improvents would be made, rather than being utterly abandoned like now.
If investigating, Jimmy believes he could get so information from the county governnt here. But this is unrelated to him; there's no one he knows in this town.
After finishing his cigarette, no one ca out, indicating they had much to discuss. Jimmy found it amusing; using explosives for exorcisms — the Vatican probably never imagined this. They never even used guns before, sticking solely to cold weapons, and probably destroying things by manpower in such cases in the past.
The priests are sowhat too conservative, indeed. Jimmy doubts these exorcism priests have ever tried using non-Vatican-provided weapons for exorcism, feeling they're a bit overly straightforward. Though, this may also relate to Jimmy himself, as he's not a professional exorcism priest, having learned it all on his own.
Finally, the priests concluded their discussion inside the church and ca outside. Rodney approached Jimmy, "Jimmy, I think we need to make a trip back. There's no one else here, and you can return with us to New York as everything seems fine here."
Jimmy looked surprised at Rodney, "Return? Why?"
Rodney replied, "Just as you said, relying on us to destroy the statues here is quite difficult; maybe trying your thod would be better. We can now confirm that's their altar, and there are no signs of their people coming over, so making a trip back to contact professional explosives personnel would be best."
Jimmy glanced towards the garbage recycling station, feeling less optimistic than Rodney. Rodney didn't notice any anomalies that night, but Jimmy was awakened, indicating sothing must have happened near the church.
Jimmy asked, "Do you all need to return? How many are returning?"
Rodney answered, "Probably just myself. After contacting the explosives expert, I should be able to return."
Jimmy thought for a mont. Leaving like this, with Rodney returning alone, facing previous incidents would be difficult to handle, especially with possibly invulnerable foes, coupled with an explosives expert on site, potentially leading to major casualties.
Jimmy looked at the others, who'd reached the car, "Priest Rodney, you're sure only an explosives expert is needed, right?"
