Jimmy left the shooting range and returned to the motel; he needed to search online for Jerry Mikulek. However, the wealth of online information in this era wasn't as abundant as in later tis, and Jimmy didn't manage to find Jerry Mikulek's address or contact information.

He also didn't plan to go back to the police station to search because the police couldn't access national identity informationn—the quickest way now was to ask Torsten for help, since their system was connected to the national system. But accessing information in such a way was against the rules.

Glancing at the ti, Jimmy saw it was almost noon. He stepped out for lunch and then arranged to et with Torsten in the afternoon to say goodbye.

In the afternoon, before heading out, Jimmy picked up a few desserts and doughnuts from a street-side sweet shop and, with several boxes in hand, entered the DEA. Since he had an appointnt, Jimmy went upstairs to find Torsten after passing through security with his identity confird.

Jimmy: "Tory, afternoon tea." Jimmy placed the desserts on the table beside Torsten.

Torsten: "Thanks, are you heading back tomorrow?"

Jimmy: "Yes, this wasn't a long vacation, just an exchange approved by your DEA. Oh, there's sothing else I wanted to ask for your help with."

Jimmy looked around; the nearby desks were empty, and no one else was paying attention to them.

Jimmy: "I heard sothing at the shooting range last ti. There's a guy nad Jerry Mikulek who set the world record for revolver speed shooting last year, 12 shots with 2 revolvers in 2.99 seconds. You know I use revolvers, and I'd like to seek him out for advice, but I don't know where he is.

The internet is just full of news congratulating him, and I can't find him. Could you help out?" Jimmy gestured toward Torsten's computer.

Torsten: "I can't look that up here; this computer isn't connected to the national database." Torsten thought for a mont. "Write down the na and wait here for ."

Torsten picked an unopened box from among the sweets and walked out with the na Jimmy had written.

Twenty minutes later, Torsten ca back, the sweets gone, replaced now with a small piece of paper.

Torsten: "You're in luck; he's currently in Fort Worth. Here's the address."

Torsten handed the slip of paper to Jimmy, then sat down to continue eating doughnuts.

"Fort Worth, that's close. I might as well go today then." Jimmy looked at the address on the note.

Jimmy: "Tory, I'm going back now, there's no need for you to see off tomorrow. I'll just take a cab to the airport. I'll use the ti I have left today to look for him."

Jimmy left the DEA and hailed a taxi directly to Fort Worth. With plenty of ti to spare and the round trip being just over 30 miles, it wouldn't take much ti, especially now that he had Jerry Mikulek's address. It would be troubling if he moved away the next ti Jimmy ca.

Using the map, he found Jerry Mikulek's residence—it was an ordinary house. Jimmy had thought Jerry would live on a farm or sothing, but he wasn't a local, so maybe he was just in the area for a competition.

He had discovered online that Jerry participated in many dostic competitions in the United States, so a celebrity in a particular field shouldn't be too hard to approach.

Jimmy walked up and knocked, "Is Mr. Mikulek here?" A man's voice ca from inside, "Just a mont, please."

A man opened the door, looked at Jimmy, and said, "Jimmy? What are you doing here? Co in!"

This greeting confused Jimmy, but Jerry Mikulek welcod him inside, and Jimmy, still puzzled, stepped into the house.

Standing in the living room, Jimmy faced Jerry Mikulek. "Mr. Mikulek, do you know ?"

Jerry: "Of course, although it's been two years since we last t, you haven't changed much, just put on a bit of weight."

Two years, Jimmy had been in this ti for one year since arriving in September 1999.

Jimmy: "I don't rember, where did we et? Could you tell more about it?"

Jerry: "Let confirm, what's your na? Where are you from?"

Jimmy: "Jimmy Yang, from San Francisco, California, currently in Little Rock, Arkansas."

Jerry: "You had a bracelet you always wore, what was inscribed on it?"

Jimmy: "liansheng."

Jerry: "OK, it's definitely you, I haven't mistaken the person. Let's sit down and talk."

Jimmy sat on the sofa while Jerry fetched two cans of Coke from the fridge, not bothering to ask what Jimmy wanted, and handed one over.

Jimmy opened it and took a sip, then asked, "Can you tell where you saw ? In detail, please."

Jerry: "Two years ago, I visited Mr. Roland in Hamilton to seek advice. He was recomnded to because he's very good with revolvers. And you were there; you were his student. I stayed there for half a month, and you were there too, don't you rember?"

Jimmy: "Yes, I had an accident before, and can't rember anything. Could you tell where to find Mr. Roland?"

Jerry: "Sure, I can. If you can wait a few days, I'm finishing up a competition and could go with you. I haven't seen Mr. Roland for over two years either."

Jimmy: "Sorry, I might not have that much ti right now, just give the address please."

Jerry got up, took a map book from the side, flipped to the Texas map, found Hamilton, and then a lake in the western woods, showing it to Jimmy.

Jerry: "He's in a cabin by this lake here."

Jimmy looked carefully at the map, noting the distance from Hamilton City.

Jimmy: "Oh, I forgot to ntion, I really ca to ask for your advice on fast reloading and shooting techniques. Would you mind teaching a bit?"

Jerry: "Oh, Jimmy, you should seek out your teacher, Mr. Roland, for that. He's the professional. If it weren't for his desire to stay out of the lilight, how could I ever beco famous?"

Jimmy: "All right, I understand. Well then, Jerry, thanks for giving Mr. Roland's address. Goodbye."

After bidding Jerry farewell, Jimmy left the house. He didn't call for a ride imdiately but walked along the road for quite a stretch.

This unexpected encounter provided him with so news about his past self, a welco surprise. He had originally only sought shooting and reloading techniques, but now he had a new na, Roland.

Jimmy had asked for a week's leave from Chief Jas, and with only three days gone, he had sufficient ti. He returned to Dallas and rented a car directly through the motel, heading straight to Hamilton with his belongings overnight. Although flying was a faster option, there might not be a flight to Hamilton today.

Dallas wasn't far from Hamilton; after about three hours, Jimmy arrived. He checked into a motel, planning to go there early the next morning since he had matters to attend to, foregoing any plans for leisure.
