Jimmy got into the Suburban, adjusted the car radio frequency, notified the NYPD's dispatch center, and then turned on the lights and sirens as he sped toward the last known location of the suspect vehicle.

Originally, such investigations should start with eting the missing child's parents, to understand potential suspects and the reasons for the kidnapping. But since the car was previously spotted by the police, even though it's now missing, the general area is already determined, making on-site investigation more urgent.

However, there are photos in the file, so as long as there are no surprises, the child's appearance can be identified.

Soon after setting off, Jimmy's phone rang. He glanced at it and picked up, "Kevin, what's going on?"

Kevin: "There's an opportunity, see if you can get involved. The son of Mayor's advisor Alex Green has been kidnapped. Keep an eye out. If you have a solid lead, take action."

Jimmy: "I've already been assigned to follow up on this case."

Kevin paused: "What? Aren't you with the Homicide Team?"

Jimmy: "I'm also part of the support group. The supervisor personally arranged it, can't help it. I just left the precinct, heading to the last known location of the suspect vehicle."

Kevin: "Any leads? If uncertain, co over first. I'll take you to et Mr. Green."

Jimmy glanced at the car radio, still no news, "Got it, I'll pick you up from the precinct."

If the FBI can get the information, soone must have given a heads-up; otherwise, such cases are usually first handled by the NYPD. For the FBI to intervene, there ought to be at least a preliminary conclusion.

Kevin got the news slightly late, possibly due to delays in so step, but he notified Jimmy considerably later than Ruiz's team.

Perhaps Kevin initially didn't think of having Jimmy help?

Regardless, since Kevin has asked, it's worth a trip; after all, this case needs solving no matter what.

Jimmy picked up Kevin at the precinct and drove to the Upper East Side, eting Alex Green at a flat apartnt. He was sitting on the sofa holding his crying wife.

Kevin and Green clearly knew each other. After a handshake and greeting, Green imdiately asked Kevin about the current investigation status.

Kevin: "Don't worry, Alex, this is FBI Senior Agent Jimmy Yang. I specifically asked him to co over to help with the investigation. This is Mayor's advisor Mr. Alex Green."

Jimmy: "Mr. Green, I'll skip the formalities. Do you have any judgnt on the kidnappers? Any disputes or received ransom calls?"

Alex: "Not yet. I have no idea who would kidnap my son."

Jimmy: "Think carefully. Did you receive any special emails, texts, or phone calls at ho or the office?"

Alex shook his head: "No."

Jimmy: "Consider communicating with others, maybe sothing was overlooked?"

Alex thought for a while: "I'll make a few calls to the office, hold on."

Alex walked to the room next door, Jimmy watched him take out his phone, flip through, and dial out, and then stopped watching.

After making a few calls, Alex ca out of the room, shaking his head as he walked over, "Neither the office nor the city hall received any ransom letters or calls."

Jimmy glanced at Kevin, "Then it's hard to judge. I think we should first investigate that suspect vehicle."

Kevin nodded, "OK, you go ahead. Dispatch center has already arranged for soone to check surveillance footage. Detectives will co here to investigate soon."

Jimmy handed his business card to Alex: "Mr. Green, if you think of anyone or anything potentially related, please notify promptly. Also, can you give a recent photo of Elliot?"

Alex nodded, took a fra from the side, removed the photo inside and handed it to Jimmy, "This photo was taken this sumr, should be the latest." ᴛhis chapter is ᴜpdated by NoveIꜰire

Jimmy put away the photo, "Okay, goodbye, Mr. Green."

Jimmy got up, left the apartnt, and continued following up on the car's leads. Earlier, the patrol officer lost the vehicle's track in the Harlem area. The main investigation area is currently Harlem and part of the Bronx District near Manhattan.

Actually, the main force in tracking the leads is the NYPD. For such governnt high-level cases, they naturally prioritize it, deploying many patrol officers nearby to investigate. As for the school vicinity kidnapping scene, NYPD detectives are leading the inspection.

Jimmy turned off the lights and sirens, slowly circled around Harlem twice. Besides routinely observing the cars on the road, he also used Heart Eye Observation on the buildings beside, ensuring nothing would be missed.

After finishing in Harlem, he directly moved to the Bronx District, a place they emphasized for surveillance, yet no leads have been found.

The radio transmitted a dispatch center notification: a report ca in about a car burning in a residential area. The model matches their suspect vehicle description, but has no license plates.

Jimmy turned the car and headed over. The nearby fire truck was already in position and extinguished the flas, now steaming vapor.

This car is beyond investigation. Once burnt, all fingerprints and other traces would be destroyed. Jimmy asked the on-site officers to arrange nearby surveillance and personnel inquiries and started scanning the surrounding houses.
