Nia's bridal gown was chosen with her mom, excluding the opinions of Jimmy and Kevin, but now it seems not all styles have been finalized yet.
To Jimmy, all bridal gowns look similar, but clearly, Nia and her mother don't think so. They've been discussing with the designer several tis, and the designs for the three gowns still haven't been fully settled.
Of course, Jimmy fully supports Nia's decision; well, he can ignore his mother-in-law's opinions, and his own opinions don't count anyway. Let Nia be happy for now.
Watching the horror movie on TV, Jimmy suddenly rembered what Bishop Anderson ntioned. He turned to Nia: "Nia, have you recently encountered any inexplicable cases, like demon possession or sothing?"
Nia rolled her eyes at Jimmy: "Where would such exaggerated cases of demon possession co from? There are just so cases without clues that can't be solved. Have you been watching a lot of horror movies lately?"
Jimmy shrugged: "Horror movies aren't really that scary, mostly just gore everywhere. I'm talking about those inexplicable cases, like... oh, those sudden violent murders or sothing."
Nia shook her head: "No impression, that seems normal, right? People inevitably have a ti when they go a bit psycho; the urge to kill can co out."
Jimmy: "Alright, just keep an eye out for . If there's anything special, give a call."
Nia: "Are you okay? Why did you suddenly think of this?"
Jimmy thought for a mont, then ca up with a legitimate reason: "I talked with Bishop Anderson of the New York Archdiocese this morning. We ntioned the exorcism ceremony, and he asked us to help find such cases. If there are any, they'll handle the exorcism."
Nia almost forgot that Jimmy was still a believer on the surface, but she herself didn't believe in religion, so it was hard to understand. "Alright, since you want to know, I'll check it out when I get back."
Jimmy: "No need to investigate on purpose, just let know if you co across anything. I'll contact the priest to take a look."
Nia nodded, "I understand, don't worry."

Jimmy has completely given up on giving opinions about the wedding. The venue and ceremony are handled by Kevin and his wife, and the bridal gown is chosen by Nia. He only went for asurents twice and was done.
The engagent was arranged with an Italian designer by the Continental Hotel. This ti, Nia and others chose an Arican designer, who studied and trained in France, so the clothes Jimmy saw during asurents were mostly French-style suits.
But Jimmy doesn't have any particular requirents about these, as long as they're happy. He usually wears Arican and Italian suits anyway, ordering two or three at a ti to rotate in his wardrobe.
The next day back at the office, David ca over around noon, "Jimmy, you've been to that ho renovation company once, right?"
Jimmy: "That's right, I went to talk to their warehouse manager, an old man nad Millie."
David nodded with a grim expression: "That's right, it's him. Last night he committed suicide, hanged himself in his bedroom, leaving a note saying his only relative, his nephew, died, and his life lost aning."
Jimmy stood up in shock, "Impossible, he had no feelings for his nephew. I've t him, talked about his nephew, and he didn't show any sorrow over his nephew's death."
David: "Indeed, I spoke with his neighbors, and they didn't even know he had a nephew. Your records say his nephew ca to New York over two years ago. Clearly, he never brought his nephew to his ho, and no one else was aware."
Jimmy: "The manager knew he arranged for his nephew to stay in a spot in the warehouse."
David: "It has nothing to do with his nephew, this is clearly a murder. They knew we'd uncovered their drug smuggling, so they killed the only warehouse manager, severing all ties. I've arranged for people to control the company's managent, and gathered their employee records, but there are still three workers who can't be reached."
Jimmy: "Have the phone records been checked? Anything unusual at his place?"
David: "Forensics is investigating, no results yet. I just ca to confirm with you."
Jimmy: "I don't know what's going on, but he definitely wouldn't have committed suicide over his nephew, I'm very sure of that."
David: "Got it, I'll leave now. This case's troubles won't end here."
David turned and left, still looking troubled. He just started the investigation, and the directly related person got murdered. Their hands move too fast, reaching too far.
There's actually another big issue. How did they know as soon as the FBI began investigating the drug smuggling case? Was it another information leak, or an insider?
Sigh, this leaking organization; the FBI is a federal enforcent agency, publicly open, with directors even publicly listed, unlike other agencies with good confidentiality asures. Usually, so unnoticeable info getting out isn't a big deal, but leaking a drug smuggling case is excessive.
Jimmy sat in the swivel chair, looking at the computer screen, and could only sigh. Fortunately, this case wasn't in his hands now, and he didn't have to handle the investigation.
Let's look at another case, one not yet handed over to the FBI—a dismbernt case, though the NYPD submitted related information for filing. Currently, the case is temporarily sealed.
To the west of Manhattan is the Hudson River, and to the southeast, the East River. River cleanup crews, while cleaning garbage off the river surface, found a thick black plastic bag. Initially thought to be just trash, when brought to shore for cleaning, it was found to contain a leg part and a small piece of concrete inside.
It should have sunk to the riverbed, but as the body decomposed, gases ford, inflating the bag, increasing buoyancy. The concrete wasn't heavy, so the bag floated up.
After the cleanup crew called the police, the NYPD sent detectives to investigate. They suspected more body parts at the bottom, so contacted the New York City Parks & Recreation's harbor departnt, temporarily sealing a small part of the river, sending divers to search, finally finding four body fragnts. No more were found.
The East River isn't small; they couldn't possibly search it entirely. Finding these under current conditions was already difficult enough.
The four fragnts contained the thighs and an arm segnt, but without fingerprint information, making identification impossible.
It's confird that one piece had a blurred tattoo. Despite the decay, so shape remained. The NYPD hasn't identified the pattern yet, but it looked familiar to Jimmy.
This pattern Jimmy saw at the Intercontinental Hotel, specifically in the underground bar there. The bartender, Adi, had this flower tattoo on his shoulder. A beauty admired by all, Jimmy paid particular attention.
If it's really soone from the hotel, then it gets interesting.
Jimmy thought for a mont, took out his phone, and snapped a photo of the enlarged tattoo on the computer screen, keeping it for a potential inquiry. Though it's not his case, if it leads to a breakthrough, it could be passed to Nia's departnt, helping her achieve a task goal.
