On Friday, Mrs. Mason summoned Jimmy to her office, accompanied by Isabel, to announce the decision for Jimmy to return to the field office, to the sa position in the Homicide Team as before.

Jimmy thanked Mrs. Mason and Isabel for their care and training over the past few months, expressing that he would not forget the experiences shared during their ti working together. He then went out to the office area to share the news with everyone.

Jimmy hugged everyone goodbye, returned to his office to pack his things, and also made a call to order enough afternoon tea desserts and coffee, with milk tea sent to the Public Affairs Office to thank everyone for their companionship over this ti.

Jimmy carried his box back to the Homicide Team's office where it was still just Mahong and David, just like before. In fact, the Homicide Team never had many people; at its busiest, it was just Mahong with the Black young lady Philicia and Jimmy, making a total of three people.

Mahong and David rose to welco Jimmy back, the group was finally complete, although they would soon be separated again.

Jimmy arranged his personal belongings from the box, then took out tea sets that had long been gathering dust from a cabinet, "Did you guys never use these tea sets? And this tea."

Mahong: "We couldn't, no one knows how to brew that kind of tea."

Jimmy sighed, "OK, I'll clean these tea sets after work, and all this tea needs to be replaced—it's been exposed for months and has gone bad."

Jimmy placed the tea set on the coffee table and took it for cleaning after work, boiling everything a few tis, getting everything sorted out before leaving the office.

Over the weekend, Jimmy went to Chinatown to the place where he used to buy tea and purchased two types of tea again, one being Lapsang Souchong, the other being traditional green tea, Dragon Well.

New position, new life; returning to the field departnt really felt good.

Jimmy and Nia went shopping during the day and watched a movie at night, and of course, they also had a good al to celebrate his return to the field departnt, escaping the incomprehensible official docunts.

On weekend nights, Jimmy also invited Mahong and David to his bar. This was to celebrate his return to the field, as well as to connect with future colleagues, although it seed David was unaware of his own future arrangents; he was still talking to Jimmy about so recent cases.

A new week arrived, and Jimmy ca early to the office, as usual, to clean up the desk and coffee table. The tea sets washed last Friday were disinfected again, and Jimmy brewed a pot of tea with the new leaves, sipping tea while reading the newspaper, waiting for Mahong and the others to arrive.

Soon, Mahong and David arrived at the office, and after tidying up the desks, the Homicide Team resud their tradition of having tea and chatting first thing in the morning.

Jimmy: "By the way, is there any case we're handling now?"

Mahong: "Yes, there's a bakery explosion case in Brooklyn. The explosion happened at 4:13 a.m. last Thursday, and the test results confird it was a flour dust explosion, but we haven't found the ignition source yet.

The explosion killed three people, two of whom were the bakery's chefs, and the other was the bakery manager's nephew. According to the bakery owner's statent, his nephew was learning to make pastries from the chefs."

Jimmy: "Did accidental operations cause the flour to fly around?"

Mahong: "Unlikely, as the bakery's flour is stored in the storeroom, and they only take out what they need to make bread. This is what I asked another nearby bakery, they usually start making pastries between 3-4 a.m. for morning sales."

Jimmy: "Then there's a lot to investigate."

Mahong: "Yes, this case is yours."

Jimmy: "Alright, I'll apply for a company vehicle in a while, Mahong, please call the administration for ."

Mahong: "You don't have a company vehicle?"

Jimmy shrugged: "It got blown up during that rocket attack case, and they never replaced it, so I've been driving my own car." Get full chapters from novel⟡fire

Mahong: "That rocket attack case?"

Jimmy nodded, and David suddenly asked, "That rocket attack case was taken by DHS, what was it about?"

Jimmy smiled, took a sip of tea, "Can you ensure you won't tell anyone?"

David nodded, while Mahong didn't make any move but was looking at Jimmy.

Jimmy: "Alright, that case was actually part of a chain of cases, starting with a murder case which my fiancée Nia and her colleague were responsible for investigating. They found clues, and tracked a gang mber. Later, I got involved and talked to so people from the Poison Snake Gang..."

Since there were no other cases, Mahong and David weren't in a rush, so they listened to Jimmy recount that case from start to finish over tea. Except for the illegal thods Jimmy used to get certain information, he didn't leave much out.

David was already satisfied to hear the whole story, but Mahong seed to have so thoughts: "Did you ever discover their shooting range or practice area?"

Jimmy raised his eyebrows, looking at Mahong in surprise that he had found a point of doubt. "That case is closed by DHS, so..."

Mahong nodded, "Understood, alright, I'm going to the restroom, it's ti to start working."

Jimmy: "OK, I'll clean up."

Jimmy tidied up the tea sets, and Mahong and David went to the restroom.

After everything was cleaned, Mahong handed the explosion case file to Jimmy, "Handle it well."

Jimmy checked the materials, and the explosive detection report of the explosion site was already in hand, as the incident had happened several days ago.
