"I’m sorry." Sophie Smith pulled herself together, gently tugging at his sleeve with a hint of appeasent.
"You’re saying, I forced you?" Clearly, he had taken her words to heart.
"I... I was talking about the past, not now."
As for that ’past,’ it probably dates back to five years ago.
The atmosphere between them was a bit tense. Sophie took a step back, "Let’s go inside first. I haven’t eaten breakfast this morning, and I’m a bit hungry."
She was just about to reach for his hand, but instead, he held hers.
"Don’t say that again next ti, got it?" He pinched her waist with a bit of force, making Sophie wince slightly.
She couldn’t understand what Asher Land was upset about. He had done it before, hadn’t he? Does he want to clear his na now?
Eva Miller refused to co down for a al, so Sophie took the tray from the maid and decided to bring it to her personally.
"Wait." Luke Land stopped Sophie, taking one of the dishes off the tray. "She doesn’t like this."
For a mont, Sophie was taken aback. Did Luke now know all her preferences?
Without saying much, she went straight to Eva Miller’s room with the tray.
Eva looked at the table full of dishes, but she had no appetite.
"Eva, just eat a little bit."
Eva wasn’t trying to starve herself; she just felt a bit nauseous, and eating might only make her throw up.
"Sophie, just leave the food here. I’ll eat it when I feel a bit better..." Eva responded weakly before lying back down on the bed. Sophie had been pregnant before, so she knew how uncomfortable these reactions could be and didn’t push her.

Sophie took a week’s leave from school. After spending a week with Eva, Eva worried about disrupting Sophie’s studies, so she ’pushed’ her back to school.
"Don’t worry, Sophie, I’m feeling much better now, you don’t need to worry about ."
Really... nothing to worry about?
Sophie glanced at Eva and then at Luke Land. After so thought, she realized it wasn’t good to get involved between them. After all, during the past week, Eva hadn’t spoken a single word to Luke voluntarily. If this continued, they’d probably beco strangers, so she felt it was necessary to give them so personal space.
After sending Sophie off, Eva turned around and bumped into Luke, who was standing behind her.
"Are you alright?" He reached out to support her, but Eva shook his hand off, yet couldn’t free herself.
"Let go."
Luke felt a bit frustrated. Sophie had just stepped out, and Eva was already showing her true colors.
"Are you hungry?"
"I’m not a pig..."
It had only been less than two hours since lunch.
"Then, do you want to take a nap?"
"No." She had slept ten hours the night before.
"Then, shall I accompany you for a walk?"
"Luke Land, you’re so annoying!" Seeing that he wouldn’t let go of her hand, Eva was also getting irritated. She grabbed his hand and brought it to her mouth, biting down hard, without any rcy.
Luke groaned lightly. Her teeth were really sothing.
Seeing his pained expression, Eva finally felt satisfied.
"Luke Land, don’t bother again. Every ti you annoy , I’ll bite you," Eva threatened.
