Lin Xinlan nodded lightly, feeling a bit lost and uncomfortable inside.

Xiaotian was sick, and at this mont, what she needed most was Rong Shaoze by her side.

It was already so late, and she didn’t know where he had gone or why he wasn’t answering the phone.

Old Gu laughed and said, "Perhaps young master didn’t hear it. You should call him again."

Lin Xinlan handed her the phone and said lightly, "You call him, I don’t have the energy."

"Okay." Old Gu quickly took the phone.

Rong Shaoze and the others had just finished a dance when Secretary Su hurried over and handed him the phone that had been vibrating non-stop.

It was a call from Lin Xinlan.

A glint of thought flashed in Rong Shaoze’s eyes, unsure why she was calling.

After thinking for a mont, he still answered, but it was Old Gu’s voice on the other end.

"Young master, it’s . Young master Xiaotian is sick, and we’re at the hospital now..."

Rong Shaoze quickly asked for the hospital’s address and left without saying goodbye to anyone.

After a brief resuscitation, Xiaotian’s condition had stabilized.

The doctor told Lin Xinlan, "The child has a high fever and has eaten too much milk, which caused the vomiting. Take care of him when you return, and make sure he doesn’t catch a cold."

Lin Xinlan nodded quickly, feeling deeply remorseful.

It must have been her negligence when bathing Xiaotian today that caused his cold.

She also shouldn’t have fed him when he wasn’t hungry.

The little one slept quietly and pitifully in her arms. Lin Xinlan lovingly held him and gently kissed his soft little face.

Soone suddenly walked up to her, and she looked up to et Rong Shaoze’s dark, profound eyes.

"How is Xiaotian?" He glanced at Xiaotian in her arms and asked with concern.

Lin Xinlan relayed what the doctor said and then asked him, "Where did you go?"

"A few things to handle." He answered concisely, not thinking it required much explanation.

Lin Xinlan did not ask him anything further.

On the way back, neither of them spoke.

Lin Xinlan kept her eyes on the child in her arms, not looking at him even once.

Rong Shaoze knew that he was a very unqualified father.

He wanted to try to be a good father.

"You must be tired, let hold the child." He offered.

Lin Xinlan glanced at him, "Do you know how to hold him?"

"..."

Seeing the dullness in his eyes, she still handed the child to him and taught him how to hold the child, telling him to relax.

Rong Shaoze suddenly felt a sense of deja vu.

It was as if this scene had happened before.

"What’s wrong?" Lin Xinlan saw him dazed and asked, puzzled.

The man ca back to his senses, his dark eyes eting hers, "I’m sorry."

"Why are you apologizing?" Lin Xinlan stared at him and asked.

He didn’t know why he had said it either.

Was it for forgetting her, or for not being by her side when Xiaotian was sick?

Rong Shaoze diverted his gaze, remaining silent.

Lin Xinlan did not press him further.

After taking care of Xiaotian and putting him to sleep, it was already the early hours of the morning.

They each returned to their rooms to rest, but neither could sleep.

Xiaotian’s illness was just a small episode in their lives.

However, the next day, when Lin Xinlan was reading the newspaper, she saw a picture of Rong Shaoze dancing with Fang Fang.

Last night, he had gone to a banquet. Not only did he not tell her, but he also danced with Fang Fang.

Even though he lost his mory and rembered nothing, she could not let go of the fact that he danced with Fang Fang.
