Maya Spencer gently closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and tried to suppress the anger in her heart, to not direct her wrath at innocent people.
But she almost fainted from lack of air; that man had just finished arguing with her, just told her they were breaking up, she was driven out, and he left ho imdiately after.
Maya’s intuition told her sothing was off, that Liam Spencer might indeed have another woman; thus, after driving her out, he impatiently went to et the other woman.
Thinking of this, Maya was enraged to the point of nearly spitting blood.
Afterward, she called Christopher Scott and Asher Norton, but neither was with Liam.
Things beca increasingly bewildering, and Maya grew more and more anxious, as if Liam had truly planned to abandon her.
So, after leaving Liam’s villa, she drove to Elijah Reed’s apartnt.
Currently, the person who understood Liam’s situation the most was Elijah Reed. If she couldn’t get Elijah to be honest, Ella Turner certainly would; she must find out where Liam went and why he suddenly talked about breaking up today.
However, shortly after Maya left, Jas Bennett ca and, upon learning Maya went to Elijah Reed’s apartnt, he drove there too.
At Elijah Reed’s ho, he and Ella Turner were snuggled on the couch watching TV, whispering sweet nothings, just gearing up to engage when a thunderous knock sounded on the door.
Suddenly, both were startled, exchanged bewildered looks.
Ella nudged Elijah, pouting, saying, "Darling, you go check! I’m scared."
"Alright! It’s okay, I’m here." Elijah’s big hand gently stroked Sophia’s face, speaking softly.
Then he got up from the sofa, went to the hallway, and looked through the peephole. He saw Maya standing angrily outside, pounding on their door.
Seeing this, Elijah let out a long sigh, turned and said to Ella, "Ella, it’s Ms. Spencer."
"Maya’s here?" Ella imdiately jumped up from the sofa, rushing to open the door for Maya before Elijah.
When the door opened, Maya glared fiercely at Elijah, seemingly seeing him as an enemy who broke up with her.
Ella looked at Maya’s furious eyes and confusedly asked, "Maya, what happened? Did Elijah provoke you?"
Listening to Ella’s question, Maya pulled her to her side, glaring angrily at Elijah, asking, "Elijah, where did Liam go? Be honest, or I’ll take your wife away."
Seeing this, Ella imdiately pulled Maya, asking, "Maya, what happened between you and Liam? What did Elijah do again? Tell , if this guy isn’t honest, I’ll help you deal with him."
Hearing Ella’s support, Maya pouted and said resentfully, "Today Liam inexplicably broke up with and made Elijah send back to my dad’s, and when I went ho earlier, he wasn’t there, nor was he with Christopher or Asher."
Listening to Maya’s words, Ella frowned, staring straight at Elijah, asking, "Elijah, what’s going on? Why didn’t you tell when you ca back? Where did Liam go, why is he avoiding Maya?"
Elijah listened to Ella’s questioning, felt like crying, thinking BOSS has an argunt, yet he gets affected, ho is in turmoil, it’s truly a sin, a sin!
Seeing Elijah’s helpless expression, Ella imdiately went to him, grabbed his arm, and said in a pleasing tone, "Honey, tell us if you know sothing! Didn’t you see Maya’s eyes are swollen from crying?"
Under Ella’s and Maya’s soft and hard tactics, Elijah couldn’t withstand the pressure, he let out a long sigh and explained, "I really don’t know why BOSS suddenly wanted to break up with Ms. Spencer. In the afternoon, BOSS just told to go ho with him after work and send Ms. Spencer away, I really don’t know anything else."
"One more thing I know, he’s going on a business trip tonight, but I don’t know where he’s going. BOSS seems to be deliberately hiding from , maybe fearing I wouldn’t be able to withstand the pressure in such circumstances!"
"Business trip? Where to?" Maya looked straight at Elijah and asked.
"Ms. Spencer, I really don’t know exactly which country, but I know it’s tonight’s flight, and he didn’t take along this ti either." This matter left Elijah feeling sowhat aggrieved.
Listening to Elijah’s words, Maya felt more and more that sothing was wrong, feeling Liam was avoiding her, but why? What’s sothing he couldn’t say face-to-face? Maya couldn’t figure it out.
So, she pulled Elijah and said, "Elijah, accompany to the airport now to get Liam back; if he wants to break up, I have no objections, but he can’t leave hanging like this! He must give a reason."
"BOSS didn’t necessarily say he wanted to break up with you! He just wants you to think it over." Elijah carefully defended Liam.
"He’s said the word breakup, and several tis." Maya insisted.
"Alright, alright! I’ll go with you to the airport, but whether we find him or not, don’t take it out on . I’m quite confused today too." Indeed, Elijah was very confused today.
"Okay, since you’ve been honest, we won’t bla you." Elijah’s grievance made Ella feel sorry for him.
Then the three of them drove to the airport, Ella watching Maya wearing pajamas in a rush, offered her a jacket to cover herself.
Then Jas had another misfortune; by the ti he arrived at Elijah’s place, they had already left, and when he called, he found out they went to the airport together to find Liam.
Therefore, he drove to the airport.
However, on the way to the airport, the three in the car were silent, Elijah driving, with Ella and Maya sitting in the back seat.
Ella looked at Maya’s despondent face, patting her cheek, comforting, "Maya, don’t worry, Liam likes you so much, he wouldn’t leave you. Maybe he’s just joking with you."
In all the chaos of the night, only Ella’s words hit the mark, Liam was indeed joking with Maya.
Yet when they reached the airport, they couldn’t find Liam at all, and checking with the airline, they couldn’t find Liam’s information either.
Maya ran around all night, only to find nothing; in the end, she pouted sadly and tightly held Ella, crying silently.
Elijah watched Maya’s fragility, shook his head helplessly, thinking BOSS has overplayed it this ti, truly upsetting Ms. Spencer.
Beside him, Elijah helplessly comforted, "Ms. Spencer, let’s go back! BOSS is only on a business trip, he’ll be back in a few days."
"A few days, it will be days later, don’t you all find Liam strange today? Why would he act this way towards ?" Maya held Ella, crying exceedingly sorrowfully.
