It wasn’t until he felt the warmth of Maya Spencer’s hand that Jas Bennett was completely at ease, finally realizing that Maya really didn’t bla him.

After the doctor finished the examination, he calmly said, "The patient is fine now. A few days of rest and so body conditioning will be good."

"Thank you, Dr. Aaron," Liam Spencer politely expressed his gratitude.

At noon, Sophia Bennett and Madam Bennett ca together, bringing handmade soup and als for Jas Bennett, Maya Spencer, and Liam.

Seeing her uncle awake, Sophia happily prayed to various deities in the hospital room while Madam Bennett busied herself setting the tableware for everyone.

Seeing Madam Bennett working alone, Maya quickly went over to help, saying, "Auntie, let do it!"

In these few days, Sophia, Madam Bennett, and Old Master Bennett were all exhausted from staying at the hospital.

Maya had initially thought that since she had hurt Jas Bennett, Madam Bennett certainly wouldn’t let her off easily, but unexpectedly, she didn’t utter a word of bla.

Although Jas was awake now, Maya’s sense of guilt still hadn’t disappeared.

Hearing Maya call her auntie, Madam Bennett felt much better and imdiately responded with a smile, "Maya, I’ll do it, you go help your dad up for dinner."

"Okay!" Maya set the bowls and dishes in her hands, then turned around and walked inside the hospital room, calling out, "Dad, it’s ti to eat."

Since Jas Bennett woke up today, Maya had been by his side, but she hadn’t found the right opportunity to call him dad, making Jas worry whether she hadn’t fully accepted him yet, considering he had missed out on twenty-two and a half years of her life.

Now, hearing Maya call him dad, Jas’ eyes reddened, filled with extre emotion, staring at Maya intensely, montarily at a loss for words.

Seeing the excitent in Jas’ eyes, Maya took a deep breath, approached his bed, helped him sit up, and said, "Dad, Auntie has prepared a lot of delicious food for you to get your strength back."

Seeing Jas move sluggishly, Sophia imdiately supported his other arm and said, "Yes, the doctor said you definitely need to replenish yourself now."

"Maya!" Hearing Maya call him dad again, Jas tried his best to suppress his excitent and called out to Maya.

Seeing Jas have difficulty accepting her affection, Maya felt a bit awkward; she wasn’t used to such emotionally charged situations.

Until now, she was only accustod to acting spoiled and humorous with Liam, remaining quite serious in front of others.

Despite having reconciled with Jas, there was still so distance between them, unlike the years of bonding she shared with Liam.

So, she awkwardly smiled and apologized, "I was too impulsive that day, sorry, I shouldn’t have pushed you down the stairs."

"It’s fine! It’s fine! Dad doesn’t bla you; he knows you didn’t do it on purpose." Maya’s apology made Jas overjoyed.

"Brother, Maya, Sophia, and the Third Young Master, co eat!" Madam Bennett noticed the people in the hospital room hadn’t co to the dining room and went to call them.

This broke the tense atmosphere, and everyone went to the dining area together.

At the dining table, Madam Bennett served soup to everyone while saying, "Maya, you’ve been here for several nights, and since the Third Young Master returned, you haven’t gone ho and stayed at the hospital. After finishing your al, you both should go back and rest. Sophia and I will watch over the hospital."

"I’m not tired; I can continue to stay here."

Jas felt warm learning Maya stayed here for several nights. Although he wanted to stay with her for a while longer, he feared she might be too exhausted.

So he promptly agreed, "Maya, you and the Third Young Master should go back and rest. I’m all right, and when I get discharged in a few days, we’ll all have a proper family gathering."

"No worries, I have nothing to do even if I go back. I’ll stay here with Sophia." Now that Jas had woken up, Maya wanted to monitor him herself, fearing he might have complications.

Seeing this, Sophia jokingly told Maya with a smile, "Maya, just go and rest! When you’re recharged, I have sothing to ask you to do for !"

Without even asking, Maya knew Sophia was referring to sothing related to Christopher Scott.

Maya didn’t expect Sophia to be so sentintal this ti, that she still hadn’t forgotten Christopher after all this ti. But since Sophia had been going back and forth to the hospital this week, Christopher surely had so relief.

However, she didn’t know how Christopher was doing this week, whether he had moved on from Seven Murray, and if his mood had improved.

During Jas’ hospitalization, Christopher and the others had visited several tis, but Maya was so focused on Jas that she hadn’t inquired about his condition.

So, after everyone’s persuasion, after lunch, Maya went ho with Liam.

On the way, Maya fell asleep leaning against the passenger seat. In these few days of keeping vigil at the hospital with Jas, she hadn’t dared to sleep, nor even blink much, fearing she’d miss the mont Jas woke up.

Liam tightly held Maya’s small hand with his right hand while his left hand was on the steering wheel. Seeing the exhausted look on her face, he lifted her small hand, placed it on his lips, and gently planted a kiss, softly chiding, "Silly girl!"

When they arrived ho, Liam carried Maya upstairs. Suddenly, Maya opened her eyes, looking at the handso man in front of her, she imdiately raised her hands, wrapped them around his neck, and playfully called out, "Third Brother!"

"You must be exhausted!"

Maya nodded and said, "Yeah!"

"I’ll carry you up to sleep."

"Okay! I want Third Brother to help take a bath and sleep with ." She nestled into his arms, wanting nothing more than to sleep snugly in his embrace.

Liam couldn’t refuse Maya’s request, but noticing her exhaustion, he temporarily suppressed the fla of reunion joy and let her rest first.

However, Maya slept straight through until nine in the evening. She had intended to visit Jas at the hospital, but after calling him, Jas insisted she rest well at ho and visit the next day.

So, Maya didn’t go.

Stretching lazily on the big bed in the bedroom, Maya noticed Liam was still working in the study attached to the bedroom.

She scratched her head, went to the bathroom, and after showering, saw Liam still working. She felt a little bored.

So, she took a deep breath, picked out a black lace nightgown and a sheer burgundy robe from her wardrobe.

She rembered Liam saying he loved her in black lace the most.

Then she lay half-hidden behind the sliding door, poking her head out, batting her big eyes, and coquettishly asked, "Third Brother, are you still busy with work? Not going to rest?"

Having slept all afternoon, she was now full of energy.

Hearing Maya’s question, Liam looked up and glanced at her. Seeing the playful expression between her brows, he knew exactly what she had in mind.

But he was reminded of the harsh words she had said to him during their argunt a few days ago, and so he pretended to be indifferent, replying, "Mmm!"
