Sophia Bennett listened to the doctor’s words, standing behind Mother Bennett, and cautiously asked, "What if there is more blood clotting?"

The doctor glanced at Sophia and calmly said, "If more blood clots form and the patient doesn’t wake up, he might remain like this for the rest of his life."

The implication of the doctor’s words was that if Jas Bennett couldn’t wake up, he might beco a vegetative state.

Sophia continued to ask, "So when exactly will my uncle wake up?"

"We can’t say for sure, it could be three to five days, or three to five years, depending on the patient’s recovery, we can only assist with dication."

Maya Spencer listened to the doctor’s report, stunned. She hadn’t thought that her accidental push would cause Jas Bennett to lie there potentially for life. Maya couldn’t accept this; it wasn’t the outco she wanted. She never thought of punishing Jas in this way.

This wasn’t punishnt for Jas at all; it was punishing her, making her feel awful, unable to find peace ever again.

Maya’s back was pressed tightly against the wall; she wanted to escape, stepping back desperately, but the hard wall behind her left her with no escape.

Sophia, hearing the doctor’s explanation, suddenly exploded. She turned sharply and charged at Maya, grabbing her by the collar and angrily questioned, "Are you satisfied? Satisfied now? Maya, what did my uncle ever do to you that you want him dead?"

Maya, hearing Sophia’s questioning, didn’t know how to respond. She just kept shaking her head, as if explaining that she didn’t do it on purpose.

Sophia looked at Maya’s stupefied appearance, grabbed her collar, and slamd her against the wall, questioning, "What do you want to do? What do you want?"

"Let go!" Liam Spencer grabbed Sophia’s wrist, telling her to let go.

However, Sophia didn’t care about Liam’s orders at all and continued to slam Maya. For a mont, Maya was dazed by the impact, but she didn’t know how to resist or push Sophia away.

Liam watched the two girls before him, one acting crazy, the other terrified, and his head ached. He imdiately increased the pressure on Sophia’s wrist, wishing he could crush her bones.

But with anger clouding her judgnt, Sophia couldn’t feel the pain. She just wanted revenge for her uncle, demanding an explanation from Maya for why she had attacked him.

Liam, seeing that Sophia ignored his warning, suddenly pulled her small hand away from Maya’s clothes. The button on Maya’s clothes, with a "pop," fell to the ground, bouncing several tis, making a sound that was enough to calm people.

Mother Bennett looked at the furious Sophia and quickly pulled her away, glaring straight at Maya without uttering a word of reproach.

Because she knew that even if her brother woke up, he wouldn’t bla Maya.

"Maya, I’ll take you ho first." Liam, fearing that Maya would get more upset, suggested taking her ho first.

Maya did not respond. At this mont, she couldn’t hear anything except the doctor’s words from earlier, saying that Jas Bennett might never wake up.

So, the only thought in Maya’s mind was that if her father killed her mother, and she killed her father, it was an extrely unhealthy thought.

Liam, seeing that Maya was stupefied, hastily grabbed her wrist and took her away.

Sophia watched as Maya was taken away openly by Liam, crying in anger. She wiped her tears while pulling out her phone, saying, "Maya hard my uncle like this; how can we let her walk away? I want to call the police, have them arrest her."

Unable to avenge her uncle or get an explanation she desired, she decided to call the police, turn Maya over to them, and let them handle it.

Mother Bennett saw this and snatched Sophia’s phone, saying distressingly, "The concern now is not this, but when your uncle will wake up."

The incident happened too suddenly, and Mother Bennett hadn’t even had the chance to accept it.

But, she held onto a belief that her brother wouldn’t sleep forever. He just t Maya, found out he has a daughter, and she’s the daughter of him and Madelyn Hanson—how could he bear to sleep like this? He would definitely wake up and live happily with this daughter.

Sophia, seeing her phone taken away, started crying loudly.

She felt so wronged, also feeling the injustice for her uncle, not understanding why everyone would protect Maya after she did such a horrible thing.

And so, while wiping her tears, she said, "I just want to call the police. You all fear the third young master, but I’m not afraid. I must get an explanation for my uncle. We can’t let Maya roam free, because if my uncle doesn’t wake up, she’ll be a murderer."

Sophia, who had been close to her uncle since childhood, really couldn’t understand how her mother could tolerate her own brother being bullied like this; it wasn’t in her mother’s character.

Mother Bennett, aside from worrying about her brother, also cared about Maya, her mind a ss, unable to think clearly. So, she wanted nothing more than to calm down and plan after seeing her brother’s condition in a couple of days.

Therefore, she frowned and seriously said, "Maya is your uncle’s biological daughter. The two of them definitely had a quarrel about this incident. The girl accidentally pushed your uncle."

Although Mother Bennett wasn’t at the scene, she could tell from Maya’s frightened expression earlier that she truly hadn’t ant to do it; Maya was also terrified.

"What?" Sophia, hearing that Maya is her uncle’s daughter, widened her eyes in shock, and her tears suddenly stopped.

"When we were children, we were neighbors with her mother. Your uncle was head over heels for her mother, never marrying his whole life because of Madelyn Hanson. This girl resembles your uncle a bit, and she must be your uncle’s daughter, without a doubt," Mother Bennett calmly analyzed.

She still rembered back then, when her brother would call Madelyn at least a hundred tis a day, carry her school bag for her, help with her howork, always thinking of her for any good thing. She, as his biological sister, never got such treatnt.

Sophia listened to her mother’s analysis, dumbfounded, never imagining, not in a thousand thoughts, that Maya would be her cousin. She was utterly astonished, finally understanding why her mother hadn’t reprimanded Maya.

Suddenly, Sophia felt as if she were dreaming, an unimaginable dream, and she hoped more than anything that her uncle’s injury was also just a dream.

"Don’t stand here daydreaming, go to the ward and talk to your uncle more these days, so he wakes up soon." Mother Bennett firmly believed that Jas Bennett would wake up, for Maya.

anwhile, inside Liam’s car, Maya sat in the passenger seat, biting her lower lip tightly, not saying a word, nor knowing what to say.
