Liam glanced at Sophia, thinking this girl wasn’t suitable for any man, she would be a curse to whoever she was with.
Then, he abruptly said, "Christopher and Seven have been childhood sweethearts. He waited for Seven for 7 years. No matter what, you have to chase him for seven years to get him."
Liam said this intentionally; he knew Sophia lacked patience and deliberately suggested she pursue him for seven years, clearly encouraging her to give up on Christopher.
Liam thought, even if Christopher and Seven couldn’t be together, he couldn’t let Christopher fall into the hands of this crazy girl, lest she ruin Christopher’s life.
Sophia was stunned when she heard she had to chase Christopher for seven years.
She had never thought of spending 7 years on any man; she considered herself fortunate if she could stick it out for 7 weeks.

Seeing the surprise in her eyes, Liam said coolly, "If you lack confidence, you can give up imdiately to avoid wasting your youth."
Maya saw this and imdiately nodded in agreent, signaling to her to give up sooner.
Sophia saw both Liam and Maya advising her to let go, yet she stubbornly refused to yield; she had a bad habit of liking to argue.
So, she furrowed her brows and said indifferently, "I’ll try to persist for 7 months!"
"..." After Sophia spoke, Liam and Maya were speechless.
Try to persist for 7 months. Even if she took a thousand steps back and managed to win over Christopher, what would she do after 7 months? Dump him? Maya and Liam couldn’t agree with Sophia’s mindset, so they remained silent.
After dinner, Liam took Maya ho, leaving Sophia still feeling gloomy.
On the way back, Maya leaned her head against the seat and stared at Liam, inquiring, "Do you think Chairman Bennett is strange? Her kindness to can’t simply be attributed to ’fate.’"
"I asked him about his emotions today. He said that when he was young, he had a crush on soone, but the girl died young from illness. I asked him if that person was my mother, but he denied it."
"Brother, do you think Chairman Bennett’s words are true or false?"
Maya stared at Liam with full anticipation, hoping he would give her an answer.
Liam understood Maya’s little probing thoughts all too well; he knew she was testing him. As for why Maya was probing him, Liam understood her struggle. She craved the truth but was also afraid of it, which was why she asked cautiously.
Liam took a deep breath, turned his head, looked seriously at Maya, and asked, "Maya, if you want to find out who your father is, I can help you investigate."
Liam didn’t want her to struggle and hoped she would beco clear about her feelings and face herself sooner.
"No, no, no! I don’t want to know, I’m just curious why Jas Bennett has been so kind to ." Maya quickly shook her head in denial.
Maya was very timid, and she was too scared to face many things, so she treated Liam as her shield in such affairs. However, when it ca to her origins, Liam couldn’t take on her perceptions, even though he wished he could.
"Maya, you’re such a coward. Knowing the truth isn’t scary. Haven’t you gotten through these years?" Liam held Maya’s arm with affection, letting her rest on his shoulder as he gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek.
However, progress was being made, and Maya was beginning to suspect Jas Bennett. This was progress too.
If things continued like this, Liam predicted the truth would soon co to light.
Yet, Liam was anxious; he was afraid Maya’s emotions wouldn’t be able to withstand knowing the truth.
Maya had already suffered enough harm, and Liam didn’t want her to suffer more. He only hoped she could let go of the past and pay attention to him, right in front of her.
As Liam thought about these things, he held Maya tighter, hoping to give her so strength and courage to face everything. Even taking a thousand steps back, she still had him! No matter what happened, he would always be by Maya’s side to support her.
"Brother!" Maya felt the man’s warmth, and her smile was radiant, her heart ward.
Thinking, what if she didn’t have a father? Didn’t she still have Liam? Liam’s love was enough to make her happy for a lifeti.
By the ti they returned ho, it was already ten o’clock, and Liam noticed Maya was already sleepy. He gently pinched her little face and said softly, "If Maya wants to sleep, go ahead and sleep first."
"I don’t want to sleep; I still want to shower and get cozy with you!" Today’s atmosphere was wonderful, and Maya, having eaten her fill, wanted to do sothing more adult with Liam.
