Seven was exasperated, thinking, is Christopher Scott’s persistence aningful?
Does he think that by pestering her, she will forget the past, forget the hurt he caused her?
More importantly, she has already given up on Christopher Scott, completely given up.
Although she still longs for love, that person will no longer be Christopher Scott.
So, she took a deep breath, turned around, looked at Christopher Scott, and said earnestly, "Christopher, I don’t want to argue with you, and don’t be boring, okay? I don’t need you to give advice. I won’t date soone I don’t like, and I won’t give up on soone I like. Please understand and give so private ti. If my relationship stabilizes, I will introduce them to everyone, and then we can accept everyone’s comnts."
Seven’s words had an underlying ssage: she said she wouldn’t date soone she doesn’t like and wouldn’t give up on soone she does. She was essentially telling Christopher that she no longer liked him and that he should stop making these pointless struggles. Continuing like this would only make everyone more and more embarrassed.
Christopher understood the underlying aning of Seven’s words, but he just refused to leave and didn’t want to see Seven drifting farther and farther away from him.
Even if Seven hadn’t forgiven or accepted him now. But Christopher knew, if he didn’t fight for it, the distance between them would only grow, and there would be no chance left.
He has known Seven for 26 years, Seven has occupied his mory for 22 years, they had shared a al, drank a glass of water, and licked a lollipop together. He wasn’t willing to just hand over Seven to soone else, not at all.
Therefore, facing Seven’s dismissal, even though he was distressed, he didn’t take it to heart. Instead, he calmly said, "Seven, why be so distant? We’re so familiar with each other. I even know you better than you do. I know what you like, so you don’t need to worry about my judgnt."
"..." Christopher’s thick-skinned persistence left Seven in awe, speechless.
This man said he even knows her better than she does. Seven couldn’t help but want to laugh.
If it were really as he said, how could he let her leave for seven years without looking for her?
What kind of understanding is that? Is he counting on her to co back and beg him? Sorry, she will never be his little follower again.
Seven took a deep breath, turned her head, looked seriously at Christopher, and said calmly, "Christopher, can you stop acting like this? It’s really pointless."
Seven dared to presu that Christopher was intentionally causing trouble. With the distinguished Fifth Master Scott of S City sitting here with her on a blind date, what other man would dare approach her? Others must think she’s crazy, looking for sothing to do, coming out to play pranks.
Seven’s face increasingly distorted with displeasure, yet Christopher wasn’t angry, only raised his head, looked toward the café entrance, and stared at the man who was pushing the door open, asking, "Seven, is that your blind date partner who just ca in?"
Upon hearing Christopher’s question, Seven looked toward the café entrance.
When she looked over, the man happened to be looking at Seven too. Then, he glanced at Christopher sitting beside Seven, stood dumbfounded for a mont.
After the mont of surprise, the man forced a casual smile, still walked towards Seven.
Clearly, this man was Seven’s blind date partner.
Christopher watched the man nonchalantly walk towards him and Seven, leaned back, and placed his hands behind Seven.
His actions appeared incredibly intimate with Seven.
When the man approached the table, his gaze fell on Christopher once more. He could tell Christopher was unfriendly towards him, his eyes were full of ridicule and disdain.
Seeing the man’s gaze on Christopher, Seven gritted her teeth in anger. She wanted to drive Christopher away, but she couldn’t lose her temper in public, so she forced a composed smile and nodded towards the man.
When Christopher saw the man sit down, he turned his head, looked at Seven, and said with nonchalance, "Seven, after this date, let’s have lunch."
Christopher’s words were absolutely intentional, he was provoking Seven’s blind date partner, trying to make him retreat.
Hearing Christopher’s presumptuous arrangents, Seven imdiately stood up from the sofa, smiling at the man as she introduced, "Gary, hello, I’m Seven, this is a friend of mine, we just t at the café, so he ca over to sit for a bit."
Seven was not pleased, didn’t even bother to introduce Christopher by na.
The man listened to Seven’s introduction, imdiately smiled, and said, "Miss Murray, hello, I’m Gary Quinn, nice to et you."
"Height? Weight? Job? Where did you buy your house? What brand is your car? How much do you have in savings?" Before the man’s words faded, Christopher was already bombarding him with questions.
On the side, when Seven heard Christopher’s unnecessary intervention, she was so angered she could no longer contain herself and wished to imdiately have a confrontation with Christopher and drive him away.
She knew it, this man showing up inexplicably at this café couldn’t be a good thing, and sure enough, he was here to spoil things.
Feeling displeased, Seven quickly turned her head, glared at Christopher, and asked with extre impatience, "Christopher, aren’t you busy? Don’t you have to work?"
"Sorry, I’m not busy today. I can help you evaluate the blind date." Christopher wasn’t the least bit polite.
Across the table, the man was observing the two in front of him, obviously aware their relationship wasn’t ordinary. He initially intended to leave, but seeing Christopher’s casual deanor, he was unwilling to leave just like that. Even though he was facing Fifth Master Scott, the man still wanted to challenge him, at least disrupting his mood.
So, the man didn’t leave imdiately. Instead, he relaxedly smiled and said, "Gary Quinn, 29 years old, height 181 cm, weight 68 kg. I’m a professional manager, the house is within the inner ring, the car is a rcedes-Benz. Savings, although not a lot, enough to support Miss Murray’s latter half of life."
"Mr. Quinn, sorry, my friend was just joking with you, no need to take it seriously." Seven awkwardly explained.
"It’s okay, your friend is just concerned for you, that’s why he’s interested." The man pretended not to recognize Christopher.
"Seven, why the hurry? Your guy’s not in a rush." The man’s indifference made Christopher sowhat displeased, thinking, is this Gary truly foolish? Or pretending? Ignoring his presence?
So he continued, "Seven, if Mr. Quinn doesn’t suit your taste, I recall you saying your boyfriends can’t be shorter than 183 cm."
Then he eyed the man again, casually asking, "Mr. Quinn, do you think raising Seven is easy? Let tell you, with your manager’s salary, perhaps it’s only enough to buy her a purse in a year. How will you support her?"
"Christopher, have you had enough? What do you an?" Finally, Seven couldn’t hold it anymore, slamd her phone on the table, and demanded from Christopher.
