"But I can’t reveal the truth because I’m afraid of offending Grandpa. Yet, what I didn’t expect was that the old man went mad. Even though he clearly knows that Maya isn’t a child of the Spencer Family, he still wants to publicly announce her identity and give the entire company to her."

"He thinks that by giving the company to Maya, you won’t just stand by and will definitely take over the company. But how can I swallow this? I’ve worked so hard, been so obedient, yet in the end, I get nothing. I can’t let the company fall into Maya’s hands, or I won’t be able to defeat you, so I had soone throw Maya into the sea."

"I never expected her to be so lucky, being spotted by soone and then rescued by you."

"Although Maya didn’t drown that night, at least it stopped Grandpa from announcing her identity and delayed the ti for him to hand over the company to you. Eventually, the old man begged you to acquire the company, unwilling to give it to and Kinsley."

"Later, I grew tired of struggling, thinking I’d find another path and eventually seize an opportunity, so I married Aron Hanson."

"You know what happened next."

"Liam, I really don’t understand why Grandpa trusts you so much but won’t give a chance to try?"

Jane’s confession left Liam silent, realizing that Jane’s anger was all because of the Spencer Clan Group.

His mind drifted back to over two months ago, the day he decided to acquire Spencer Clan Group.

That day, Grandpa summoned him, not for anything else but to ask him to help the company; he couldn’t bear seeing it go bankrupt with debts.

In the end, Liam agreed and acquired Spencer Clan Group but didn’t expect this would drive Jane to harbor murderous intent against him.

He stared straight into Jane’s eyes, seeing a sister so unfamiliar, unfamiliar enough to feel he never knew her.

Jane, seeing Liam remain silent, bitterly smiled and said, "I admit, you won, completely. But if Grandpa had given power, I wouldn’t be inferior to you, and Spencer Clan would also prosper."

"Grandpa’s really biased; in his heart, there’s only you, his one grandson. The rest of us three never even get his attention. Grandpa had long known Grace was dead, that’s why he agreed to let Maya live with us, hoping to diate between you, fearing you couldn’t endure knowing Grace had passed. He arranged even these emotional matters, not wanting you to be hurt, yet never cared about us other children. Even if he treats well, it’s all a pretense, just for your sake, only giving due respect because of you. I’m really unwilling, unwilling to live under your shadow."

"It’s fine now; I’ve thoroughly lost. I no longer need to sche and don’t need to be so tired."

Upon finishing, Jane let out a long breath, as if releasing sothing very important.

Liam, however, coldly said, "Contentnt brings happiness. You’ve never cherished what you had, always reaching for others’ things. How could others not envy you? Lillian, Aron, are all your happiness which you never realized, yet you maintained a complicated relationship with Nolan. The drug in Ethan’s car was sprayed by him, right!"

Two months ago, while investigating Jane, he discovered that every ti she went out, a man nad Nolan would always leave on a flight ahead of hers. It happened every ti, and upon deeper investigation, he uncovered the relationship between Nolan and Jane.

In the car accident case, he couldn’t track who tampered with Ethan’s car. After speculating, he concluded this matter was handled by Nolan for Jane, as only she could make Jane trust so deeply.

Upon hearing Nolan’s na from Liam’s mouth, Jane was taken aback. She never expected her hidden secret could still be traced to Nolan.

Jane, panicking, suddenly grabbed Liam’s arm and explained, "Liam, this has nothing to do with him. Don’t hurt him. I personally sprayed the drug in Ethan’s car; it has nothing to do with him. Nolan knows nothing of everything I did."

Jane and Nolan had been in love for 11 years, and Nolan was always waiting for her. No matter what decision she made, that man never blad her; he lived freely with other won but devoted all his genuine care and seriousness to her.

Unfortunately, in today’s society, establishing oneself, becoming successful based solely on one’s abilities, is harder than reaching the sky, so he never let Jane marry him, only grew more indulgent towards her, afraid to lose her.

Liam watched Jane’s concern for Nolan, took a deep breath, and said unexpectedly, "Sister, I didn’t know you actually cared about anyone."

He couldn’t understand why Jane could take the fall for a man, yet couldn’t accept his poverty, forcing them both to a dead end, making others suffer and herself suffer.

"Liam, this really has nothing to do with him. Don’t go looking for him. I’ve wasted his life enough this lifeti. Please don’t disturb him again."

For so long, Jane had been selfish, but for the first ti, she had an impulse to protect soone. She didn’t want Nolan to be caught; she still hoped to see him. If she died, she wanted soone to sincerely rember her, place a bouquet on her grave, so she wouldn’t be so alone.

Liam listened to Jane’s plea, stood up leisurely, and said, "I’m leaving."

Everything he wanted to know was already clear, and he didn’t wish to stay or face Jane anymore.

"Liam, don’t leave. Do you think you’re truly perfect? Let give you a piece of advice, don’t live too self-righteously. Maybe you’re not even better than anyone else and maybe even more despicable than all of us." Jane stopped Liam.

Liam stopped, turned around, and stared directly at Jane.

Seeing him halt, Jane casually took out a file bag from behind, tossed it on the table, and said, "Let tell you a secret, don’t bother Nolan. He shouldn’t be dragged into our fight."

Liam’s gaze fell on the file bag on the table, taking a deep breath, then lifted his head, glancing at Jane.

Then, nonchalantly, he picked up the file bag, unhurriedly opened it to check its contents.

Upon seeing it was a DNA test result from a hospital, his face suddenly fell, turning incredibly grim.

Jane looked at his sudden change in expression, and with a hint of satire, said, "I didn’t expect the Spencer Family’s relations to be so tangled. I wonder if Grandpa can handle the truth when he finds out?"

"Did you give it to Grandpa?" Liam frowned tightly, glaring at Jane.
