He quickly raised both hands, gently stroking her head to offer comfort.

He really liked this emotional, deeply affectionate Maya Spencer.

Listening to Liam Spencer’s concern, Maya pouted and complained, "Just confess already! Why make it so lodramatic with all this talk of a fulfilled life—is this a joke?"

Liam sat up, took Maya’s little face off his shoulder, laid her back on the bed, and gazed at her deeply, saying sincerely, "Maya, I’m not lying. If I can marry you, my life will have no regrets, even dying would be worth it."

Liam usually doesn’t like drama, but when faced with Maya, he seems to have an endless supply of sweet words and promises, a natural ability despite having no prior experience.

Maya didn’t like hearing that, so she quickly pinched his handso face, reprimanding, "Don’t say nonsense, what do you an dying would be worth it. Are you marrying just so I’ll be a widow?"

"Liam, I’m telling you, if you don’t live well, I won’t stay loyal, I’ll find soone else right away. So, you’d better behave and live a long life; otherwise, even if you confess in my dreams, I won’t co back."

Having just gone through a fire, Maya is very taboo about hearing unlucky words from him, which is why she scolded him harshly. She wants to live a long life with him, grow old together, and lean on canes to watch the most beautiful sunsets.

Their ti in love has been so short, even living this whole life wouldn’t feel enough, so how could she allow him to say such discouraging things?

Though Maya’s words weren’t pleasant to hear, Liam could tell that she was worried about him and didn’t want to hear him say bad things.

Her sharp eyes made Liam feel so gentle, so warm.

Seeing the man silly-smile at her, Maya raised her right hand, tapped his forehead, and continued to scold, "Liam, I’m warning you—do you hear ?"

Her ’fierce’ warning enchanted a certain soone, who then cupped her little face in his hands and kissed her lips, showing through his actions that he had received her warning and would certainly abide by it.

This ti, Maya didn’t ss around or reject his kiss; she just gently hooked her arms around his neck.

Afterwards, the hospital room fell into an atmosphere of intimacy, and the two cuddled together and fell asleep.

When Maya woke up, it was already two in the afternoon—they hadn’t even eaten lunch.

She nestled into Liam’s embrace, watching the sleeping man, tenderly caressing his face, and sighed, "Brother Liam is really a little poor thing; he stayed unconscious for days and nights, and woke up without eating—oh..."

Reflecting, Maya felt she was a little unfair, but then again, Liam is soone who prefers at over greens, even if hungry, he would only eat her to fill his stomach first.

Maya’s small hand traced over his face, outlining his features, her smile sweet.

As she thought about Liam’s confession earlier, her smile grew brighter, so she leaned forward, raised her head, and secretly planted a kiss on his lips, whispering, "Brother Liam, you are mine, mine alone."

Unconsciously, Maya beca lost in Liam’s tenderness, unable to extricate herself; the more he pampered her and treated her well, the more she liked him, the more she couldn’t leave him.
