Her reaction left Maya Spencer puzzled; she began to suspect, thinking, why is Ella Turner so against her going ho? Could sothing be happening at ho that she doesn’t want her to know about or be involved in?

She recalled Ella Turner’s behavior today and increasingly felt that she was different from usual, and she inexplicably brought up his relationship with Lillian Morris.

Could it be that when Ella Turner entered her bedroom this afternoon, she left sothing in there?

Could it be that she never believed in Liam Spencer from the beginning, but was always waiting for a chance to avenge?

That’s why she would ask her out and prevent her from going ho.

Maya Spencer always had a sharp mind; she quickly detected sothing off about Ella Turner.

At this mont, she looked into her eyes again and found that her gaze was no longer calm but filled with rage. This kind of Ella Turner was quite terrifying.

Maya frowned, looked directly into Ella’s eyes, took a deep breath, shook her head, and shook off her hand.

She asserted, "Ella, I must go back. I won’t let anything happen to Liam."

After she spoke, Maya headed towards the main door, even though she did not confront Ella about whether she had ddled with sothing at her house. But, she was almost certain she did; she wanted revenge on Liam, perhaps the fruits she brought were tainted.

As Maya realized these things, her legs went weak with fear, and she imdiately started running.

Seeing this, Ella hurriedly chased after her, grabbed her wrist, and yelled loudly, "Maya, are you crazy? That man is a murderer! Why do you protect him? Have you forgotten how he abused you?"

Ella’s questioning was undoubtedly an admission that she indeed ddled with things in her house.

Listening to Ella’s dissuasion, Maya suddenly turned around, angrily grabbed her collar, and berated, "You really did ddle with things at my house." She had long regarded Liam’s ho as her own.

Hearing Maya’s accusation, Ella didn’t back down; she opened Maya’s hand, grabbed her collar in return, and warned, "Yes, I did ddle with your house. I want to avenge my brother. Maya, don’t ddle. After tonight, you’ll be free, you can go find Brother Morris, and my brother can finally rest in peace."

"Ella, are you nuts? You’re actually planning to kill soone. Let tell you, Liam is not a murderer; don’t be foolish enough to let others use you as a pawn."

After Maya spoke, she pushed Ella away and then ran towards the exit.

Seeing her not taking heed, Ella imdiately chased, shouting, "Maya, stop! Stop!"

Maya ignored Ella’s order, ran to the road, and hailed a cab to rush ho. Ella got in her car and followed behind the cab.

She only hoped to encounter a severe traffic jam now, preventing Maya from going ho. Unluckily, the roads in usually congested S City were unusually smooth today.

Inside the cab, Maya was so anxious that she started to sweat profusely, wishing desperately she could fly to Liam’s side.

If anything happened to Liam, her friendship with Ella could only end here because Ella had not an ounce of trust in her, plus she was always so stubborn, believing herself to be right.

When Maya hurried back ho, it was 9:20 PM.

As she entered the villa, Aunt Smith imdiately took her hand and said, "Young Madam, after you called to co back, I checked on the young master again; he’s still sleeping. Hopefully, after this nap, his fever will be completely gone."

Hearing Aunt Smith’s report did nothing to ease Maya’s mind, and she quickly rushed upstairs, with Aunt Smith following her in confusion.

At this mont, Ella rushed over, seeing Maya running upstairs, and quickly shouted, "Maya, don’t go in, do you hear ?"

Faced with Ella’s unreasonable antics, Maya didn’t even bother looking at her directly. She ran to the bedroom door, raised her hand, and went to twist the doorknob.

"Ah..." When her small hand touched the doorknob, the heat of it startled her into a scream, and she reflexively withdrew her hand.

Although the temperature of the doorknob was not enough to injure soone, its difference from usual was enough to scare Maya.

Aunt Smith, standing by, seeing Maya’s reaction, imdiately furrowed her brows, then wrapped the doorknob with her uniform and opened the door.

The mont the door was opened, a rush of hot air burst forth to et them.

As Maya stepped forward and was about to go in, Ella suddenly grabbed her hand, extrely aggrieved, and said, "Maya, please, don’t save him; he killed soone; he should pay with his life. Since the law can’t do anything, I will avenge my brother myself."

Listening to Ella’s nonsense, Maya was so angry she gritted her teeth; she didn’t know how to describe Ella’s foolish actions.

So, she could only pull her hand away and say coldly, "Ella, since you don’t believe , I can help you go down and ask Brother Turner."

Seeing Maya’s trust in Liam, Ella was dumbfounded; she didn’t understand why Maya would trust Liam so much. Had she really forgotten all that Liam did to her? Ella couldn’t accept it.

"Miss, this is bad. Call 119 quickly; the bedroom is on fire." As the two were talking, Aunt Smith had already gone into the room first. She saw that the sofa in the corner of the bedroom was burning, the curtains on the floor-to-ceiling window were on fire, and even the sliding door that wasn’t closed was afla.

Hearing that there was a fire, Maya turned around and ran into the room. Though not a raging inferno, the fire was already burning intensely enough to easily kill soone. Moreover, the room was filled with thick smoke, making it extrely uncomfortable to breathe.

Maya saw that Liam was still lying motionless on the bed; the side of the large bed near the window was also on fire. Fortunately, Liam was sleeping on the right side and hadn’t been caught by the flas yet. If she was ten minutes later, Liam would definitely have been consud by fire.

Seeing the fire grow more vigorous, Maya threw caution to the wind, dove onto the big bed, and slapped Liam’s face, shouting, "Third Brother! Third Brother! Wake up!"

But to her dismay, no matter how she scread, Liam showed no signs of waking up.

Aunt Smith watched Maya rush into the burning bedroom and was montarily petrified, standing there dumbly, with no clue what to do.

Inside the bedroom, Maya was being scorched, her whole body felt hot and stifled; even her breathing was difficult because the fire had consud much of the oxygen, leaving her gasping.

She tightly held Liam but couldn’t move him an inch.

Suddenly, Maya burst into tears, her tears falling down like rain, crying and holding Liam, shouting, "Third Brother, don’t sleep, wake up, I don’t want anything to happen to you."

After calling out twice, the thin quilt covering Liam was increasingly burning, about to reach him. Without thinking, she dragged Liam to the floor and pushed the quilt to the other side of the room.
