Suddenly, Maya Spencer felt incredibly awkward, almost wishing she could smack Liam Spencer away. Did this jerk really have to act like this? Teasing her in public, others might think she was... uns...atisfied.

"Third Brother, you’re not being fair! Your public display of affection is affecting the opponent’s mood in the ga, deducting 20% from your deposit." Christopher Scott easily pocketed twenty thousand from Liam Spencer, who didn’t mind at all since he had plenty of money.

"Liam, it’s a public place, be mindful of the influence!" For the second ti today, Maya Spencer reminded him.

But Liam Spencer didn’t take it seriously. He pinched her chin and leisurely said, "Call Third Brother."

In fact, Liam especially liked when Maya called him Third Brother, but ever since Maya returned, she no longer did. Every ti he recalled her sweetly calling him Third Brother, his heart felt particularly pleasant.

Maya hesitated for a mont, then sweetly called him ’Third Brother.’

"You two, give it a rest! What about us single dogs? It’s seriously affecting the opponent’s mood, deducting 50% from the deposit, Third Brother, place a new bet." Christopher Scott ruthlessly docked Liam’s money.

"Third Young Master, place a new bet."

"Place a new bet."

Hearing the jeers from everyone, Liam was all smiles. He again kissed Maya and said, "Honey, win it back for ."

"Okay!" Maya nodded.

In the room full of people, only Lillian Morris understood Liam and Maya’s act. The more affectionate they appeared, the more Lillian felt stifled. Maya thought that by playing along with Liam, she could comfort Lillian, making him believe she was doing well.

But what Lillian saw was Maya’s concessions and submission to Liam, which increasingly worried her.

Monts later, the card room was drowned in everyone’s jeers, and Liam’s public displays of affection didn’t restrain; instead, they beca more outrageous. With his guidance, Xavier Graham felt grudgingly defeated, saying it was unfair for them to play as a couple.

But Christopher, not one to be underestimated, deducted Liam’s deposit whenever he showed affection so that even if Maya won, Liam couldn’t recoup his capital.

On the side, Lillian watched as Liam wrapped Maya in his arms, full of affection. She shook her head helplessly, thinking Liam was more shaless than she imagined. She couldn’t even fathom how he could act so nonchalantly after causing Maya so much pain.

Liam’s facade made Lillian feel it was fake, Maya’s cooperation made her heart ache, and when she couldn’t endure Maya’s forced smiles any longer, she stood and left the card room.

With his peripheral vision, Liam watched Lillian leave, then deliberately lifted Maya’s chin to gently scold her, "How silly! You played the wrong card."

Actually, he didn’t want Maya to focus on Lillian or let anyone notice Maya’s lingering feelings for Lillian.

Hearing Liam’s scolding, Maya imdiately put on a smile, clinging to Liam’s arm, saying, "Third Brother! Third Brother! Can it be salvaged?"

She tried her best to hide her feelings, not to focus on Lillian’s disappointnt, and not to anger Liam. Yet, she couldn’t erase what Lillian whispered in her ear earlier. He asked to et her at 9 PM, and although she had already refused, his words, ’I’ll keep waiting for you,’ couldn’t just be ignored.

Liam watched the girl putting on a joyful front, controlled his emotions to cooperate with her, and confidently said, "Hmm."

anwhile, in the banquet hall, Henry Reid was being forcibly paired with a girl by Madam Reid.

Henry’s head ached with frustration, but Madam Reid wouldn’t let him leave. Sitting beside him, she held the girl’s hand and asked, "Emily, what are your hobbies?"

The girl glanced at Henry and confidently replied, "I majored in film at university, I enjoy watching movies, and for sports, I like playing tennis."

"What a coincidence, my Henry likes movies and tennis too, and he’s quite good at tennis." Madam Reid was determined to match the two of them.

"Really? Henry, let’s have a match soti." The girl seed to have a good impression of Henry and was open to developing things further with him.

"We’ll see when I have the ti." Henry responded dismissively, showing his lack of interest in her.

Seeing this, Madam Reid quickly tried to redy the situation: "Ah! My Henry is just like that, too career-focused, always working. I’ll talk to his dad about arranging less work for him, so you two can have more ti to date."

Seeing Madam Reid eager to ’give him away,’ Henry wanted to cry but had no tears, thinking, "That ’old woman’ Noah Owen hasn’t been married off yet, why rush to get married and plant the idea that I’m afraid of inheriting her last na?"

Not far away, Elia Spencer sat in a corner, watching Madam Reid’s enthusiasm for Emily Baker and thinking about the sarcastic digs she had previously received from her, which made her clench her teeth in anger.

She never imagined Madam Reid could be so snobbish, actually looking down on her; she felt unbalanced but didn’t dare to disrupt things.

Now, she and Hannah held no position in the Spencer Family, and if she ruined this banquet, they might truly get kicked out. So, she suppressed her anger, watching helplessly as Madam Reid set Henry up on a date.

Her only consolation was that Henry didn’t seem interested in the Baker Family’s young lady, which gave her a glimr of hope.

"What are you staring at? If you like it, go chase it! Do you think by just watching, Henry will fly into your arms?" Noah Owen had noticed Elia’s anger from a distance, so she ca over to stir up trouble, urging her to ruin Henry’s prospects.

That jerk called her an old woman; she wanted to wait until he couldn’t find a bride and was called an old man.

"Sister Noah, stop teasing . Who can I chase? Everyone avoids like the plague now." Elia self-deprecatingly tried to play the pity card, hoping Noah would stand up for her.

Noah wasn’t fooled; she saw through Elia’s small sche even before she voiced it. Since she couldn’t incite Elia to cause trouble, she wouldn’t waste ti on her—she’d do it herself! After all, she wouldn’t let Henry have it easy.

She tossed a flirtatious glance at Elia, saying, "You just don’t want Henry to successfully date, right? Watch deal with that jerk."

"Sister Noah, don’t stir up trouble; you don’t want to upset Madam Reid." Elia pretended to hold back Noah, sporting an attitude of concern for her.

"Move, don’t disgust . Just enjoy the show quietly." Noah had disliked Elia since they were kids, because she and her mom were the sa, too fake.

After pushing Elia away, Noah swayed her waist as she approached Henry.

As she pretended to pass by where Henry’s date was happening, she took a few steps back, turned around, and sized Henry up with a puzzled expression, exclaiming in surprise, "Henry, are you on a date?"

Henry caught the mischief on Noah’s face, coldly glanced at her, and ignored her.

Noah quickly sat beside him with a mischievous smile, saying, "Are you really afraid of taking my last na, dating so quickly?"
