Terrence looked around his hotel room. How he missed the soft bed and the comfortableness it gave to him.

Terrence sighed. A series of calls sounded on his phone. After days without a signal, he finally was able to see all the ssages and missed calls from his parents.

He quickly went through each one of them.

Terrence sweated coldly. Tiana’s ssages reached up to 300 .

Terrence didn’t think twice and imdiately called his mom. He knew how worried she must be.

It only took one ring before his eardrums got destroyed.

"TERRENCE ARDWIL HOW CAN YOU HAVE THE COURAGE TO CALL US AFTER IGNORING US FOR DAYS?"

Tiana’s loud, terrific voice beat like drums.

Terrence firmly closed his eyes. He slightly moved his phone away from his ears.

"Mom, calm down," Terrence tried to calm Tiana down but it just made her angrier.

"WOW! COMING FROM YOU? WHO HAVEN’T EVEN REMBERED TO UPDATE US IN THE SPAN OF 3 DAYS?"

"Hahaha, chill, Mom. It was because I was too busy preparing for the job interviews. It was so hard that I needed no distractions." Terrence sighed.

"How is it?" Tiana’s tone was replaced by interest by what Terrence uttered.

She imdiately thought that Terrence must be having a hard ti because of it.

"It went well. I just encountered so problems, but most of it was fine."

Terrence breathed deeply. Conscience was eating him as he lied to his mother about it. However, he knew that it was for the better, especially with what the system had told himso far.

"Were you eating correctly? Your voice doesn’t seem good," Worried, Tiana asked hurriedly, She noticed that there was sothing wrong on Terence’s voice.

It sounded as if he wanted to say sothing.

Terrence smiled bitterly. "It’s nothing, Mom. I was just happy to be able to talk to you after a few days."

That wasn’t entirely false, because Terrence did really miss taking to his parents.

Tiana chuckled before silence ensued.

"Do you think you can get with your sweet words?" Tiana smiled.

"Just don’t forget to update us once in a while, Terrence. We understand that you’re busy there, but at least tell us." Tiana softly uttered.

"Yes, Mother. I understand." Terrence solemnly answered back as his lips curved up in a smile.

After they talked for a few minutes, catching up about what happened days ago, the call ended peacefully.

Another sigh escaped from Terrence’s lips. He glanced at his phone and looked up to his ssages on other social apps.

That was the only ti Terrence realized about Sumr.

Terrence went to the job listing site. In there he saw a ssage from Sumr. It ca 2 days ago, asking him if the job was still available since he hadn’t been active for days.

Terrence urgently replied to her. He was slightly afraid that Summar would have found another job by now.

Terrence’s fingers swiftly danced across the screen as he composed a reply to Sumr, hoping beyond hope that the opportunity hadn’t slipped through his fingers.

He typed out his response, expressing his sincere apologies for the delay. He also assured her that the position was still available.

It was a chance he couldn’t afford to lose, especially considering Sumr’s credentials.

Minutes felt like hours as he waited anxiously for a reply. Finally, a notification popped up on his screen—Sumr had responded to his ssage.

"Thank you for getting back to ! I’m still very interested. I hope I’m not too late!" her ssage read.

Terrence felt a rush of relief flood through him. He quickly typed out a response, proposing a eting the following day to discuss the job.

"Are you available tomorrow to et at the grocery store? So that you can see it and take a look around it" Terrence questioned.

"That would be fun! Count in, Boss," Sumr enthusiastically answered, even though Terrence wouldn’t hear his tone.

"Tell what’s your available ti, then." Terrence hit the send button.

As Terrence eagerly awaited Sumr’s response after he sent the ssage, his phone buzzed with another notification. This ti, it was a call from Edwin.

With a curious expression on his face, he accepted the call.

"Hey, Terrence! The good news is all the permits and licenses are sorted out. We just need to wait for the verification now, which I think wouldn’t be that long." Edwin bead with joy.

A wave of relief washed over Terrence. This was such good news for the grocery store. Finally, it wouldn’t be that long!

His heart swelled with anticipation and happiness. He quickly replied, expressing his gratitude and excitent.

"Nice one, Edwin! Thanks for the update."

Edwin chuckled. "It was nothing. I just pulled so strings. I might need a copy of your ID though, since it’s needed."

"Alright. Let’s et tomorrow at the store. I will introduce soone to you."

"Oh no. If that’s a her then i might need to pass."

The two laughed out loud at Edwin’s joke. Terrence defeatedly tilted his head to the side before another laugh escaped from his lips.

"It’s the first employee of the grocery store. I hired her just few days ago." Terrence clicked the speaker button. "I’ll also be sending a list of people to you."

Terrence forwarded the resus to Edwin. He already filtered it out by those who have good credentials and only sent him the one he found amusing.

After what happened to Terrence and Willliam, he thought it was only right for them to consider choosing the employees carefully.

Terrence just hoped that Edwin had learned his lesson.

With both Sumr’s enthusiasm for the job opportunity and Edwin’s update on the project, Terrence felt a surge of excitent.

Things were finally falling into place, and he couldn’t help but feel a sense of accomplishnt.

As he looked at the files on his phone, a feeling of contentnt washed over him.

The chaos and challenges earlier and the past few days seed to be disappearing.

Terrence just hoped that this grocery store would be beneficial to him and his family moving forward.
