"I will be away for a week... I will be away for a week...

Terrence took a deep sigh as he repeatedly said those words. He had been rehearsing the line for a couple of minutes already.

He knew that he was already old enough to decide on his own, but for their family, it was important to consult other people before making a big decision.

It’s a matter of informing and taking into consideration the opinions of others.

Terrence do not know what to expect. However, one thing was for sure. His parents would greatly be shock regarding it.

He hasn’t been away for that long.

When the ti arrived, Terrence gained his courage and went outside. He needed to say what he had been aning to say before his parents would go to work.

Terrence still needed to go to buy things that would be needing.

Fredrick sent him a list of things he needed to bring. The list includes a tent, foldable bed and chair, so clothes and spare food since their ration would be limited.

Including him, Natalie, and Fredrick, there would be 7 people in total who would be staying in the woods.

It wasn’t a lot since of course, they needed to consider the safety and the needs of everyone. Also, they do not want to catch the attention of any people.

The good thing was, a backup team would also be staying near the periter in case of trouble.

"Mom, Dad," Terrence called out his parents’ attention. They were in the living room, getting ready for work.

Archer was packing up so lunch while Tiana was arranging and organizing the bags that they would be bringing. They already inford Terrence that they would go ho late since they will be busy with work today.

"Yes, Terrence? Do you need sothing?" Tiana asked as she zipped up her bag after checking it for the last ti.

"I’ll be away for a week, starting tomorrow." Terrence gathered all his strength to say those in one word.

With what he stated, Tiana and Archer both looked at Terrence’s direction.

Tiana’s brows shot up. "Why?" she strictly asked.

As far as she can rember, Terrence hasn’t asked permission like this throughout his life. This was the first ti that they would be hearing about it.

"Uhm..." Terrence awkwardly looked at Tiana. Because of the NDA he signed, he needed to co up with a reasonable reason for it.

"It’s for work, Mom. The company that I applied for will conduct a 1-week interview session. Ha ha" Terrence answered. He did not even know if what he said was plausible.

"Ohh," Tiana slowly nodded.

Archer looked at Tiana. "Allow Terrence already. He’s already too old and can decide on himself."

Tiana sighed. It was understandable.

"Alright. But make sure, you update us every ti." Tiana smiled. Even though she was worried, what Archer said made sense.

Terrence also has a life and dream that he needed to fulfill.

"That fast?" Terrence’s jaw fell to the ground at how easy it was for his parents to agree.

His efforts practicing his line earlier, were all useless then.

’Why did I even get nervous and went through all of that?’ Terrence tilted his head to the side.

Tiana’s forehead creased. "You want to say no to you?" she raised her brows as if threatening Terrence that she could take her words back.

Terrence quickly shook his head. He smiled and uttered, "Of course no, Mom."

Tiana chuckled. "Where are you going to stay then? And how much money do you need?" she asked.

She knew that since Terrence would be away, then he would need so money to fund himself.

Terrence shook his head. "There’s no need for that, Mom. We will stay in a apartnt that the company provide and I have so money to fund myself." He answered, refusing the generous offer.

"Are you sure?" Tiana asked once again.

Terrence nodded. "Yep. No worries," he smiled as assurance to the worried voice of his mother.

"Alright. Just text us if you need anything."

"I will, Mom." Terrence smiled.

"Hon, Let’s go now. We’ll be late." Tiana faced Archer, who was now done packing up their food for work.

It was already normal for them to pack lunches since food being sold at their work was hella expensive. They wouldn’t spend $10 for just a sandwich that barely has stuffing inside it.

Terrence waved his hands to his parents as they bid him goodbye. He watched at how Tiana and Archer left the house, leaving him all alone.

Terrence sighed. He looked at the ti on his watch. Now he needed to go to the nearest mall in their area. The one that he used to go to every ti.

Terrence started to prepare for his departure. He took a bath, put on a nice clothes, and readied himself.

He went out and started to walk. He was just planning to walk since it was still too early. It’s better for him to be active too since he hasn’t been doing much these past few days.

Terrence sighed as he passed by the area that used to be Edwin’s grocery store. It was now completely demolished. Only a few rocks from the building were left, and was now being collected by a truck.

Most of the area was also covered already by a blue barricade, with only the front side, opened for the truck. It seems like the construction of this mall will soon take place.

The cover was essential to protect the materials, and of course for people to not go in easily once the construction starts.

With his estimate, it wouldn’t be long. Terrence noticed the few huts that the construction workers made for themselves.

"It seems like they’re really prepared to do this." Terrence tilted his head to the side.

With how prepared they were, it seems like this has been decided on for weeks already.

Thinking about it, Terrence realized one thing.

"Did William apply to Edwin because of this?"
