Chapter 788: 335. I’m still young, don’t corrupt .

On February 10th, the next day, the Bobcats, playing at ho, faced the challenge from the Warriors in a back-to-back matchup.

The two teams once again started an offensive battle, and this ti none of the teams fell apart as the ga went on. At halfti, the score was 57 to 58, with the Bobcats trailing by 1 point.

Tonight, Zhang Yang’s performance was steady, shooting 11 out of 20, including 2 threes out of 5 attempts, and 8 out of 10 free throws, scoring 32 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks.

Felton has been playing better and better since his return. After he found his rhythm, the half-month of absence actually helped him; his stamina is currently the best in the Bobcats, even surpassing Zhang Yang.

Although Zhang Yang has good recovery ability, comparing his current self to the beginning of the season, there’s still a noticeable difference in stamina.

Felton played 38 minutes tonight, shooting 10 of 18, including 4 threes out of 6 attempts, and 6 out of 6 free throws, efficiently scoring 30 points and 5 assists.

Millsap’s 6 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists, and Brad Miller’s 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists provided significant help to the two.

But the opposing Double Guns were also exceptionally fierce!

Ellis faced Zhang Yang’s defense, shooting 8 out of 20, maintaining a relatively basic shooting rate, including 1 three-pointer out of 3 attempts, and 5 out of 6 free throws, scoring 22 points and 11 assists.

With Ellis’s help, Baron Davis exploded, shooting 15 out of 29, including 5 threes out of 10 attempts, and 7 out of 7 free throws, scoring a whopping 42 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Just looking at the Double Guns’ performance, Zhang Yang and Felton balanced out with Ellis and Baron Davis.

The main problem was at the center position.

Okafor was hacked tonight…

He only made 2 out of 7 shots tonight, completely missed all 3 attempts in the first half, and didn’t make any of his 4 free throws either. Crazy Scientist decisively employed the Hack-a-Shaq tactic by the third quarter, giving Okafor 10 free throws in a single quarter, of which he made only 4.

The Warriors often use this move; they are already accustod to the fragnted pace, allowing Big Beard and Little Kobe to swing hard. But the Bobcats’ rhythm got disrupted, only scoring 16 points in the third quarter.

The Warriors scored 25 to 16 in the third quarter and led the Bobcats by 10 points by the end of three quarters!

By the final quarter, Okafor had adjusted, scoring 6 points in 8 minutes with 2 out of 4 field goals and 2 out of 2 free throws, leading the rest of the Bobcats to adjust their offense and explode, scoring 36 points in a single quarter.

But over on the Warriors’ side, Big Beard also erupted in the final quarter, scoring 15 points in a single quarter, breaking through 40 points, and leading the team to score 35 points in a single quarter.

109 to 119, the Bobcats lost at ho to the Warriors!

The Bobcats’ record ca to 38 wins and 13 losses, missing the goal of 40 wins at mid-season for the first ti in team history.

After the ga, Okafor went to the training ground for extra free throw practice after accepting an interview.

Tonight he shot 6 out of 16 free throws, even worse than Howard, holding the main responsibility for losing the ga, feeling very unwilling.

Felton was also reluctant, but seeing Okafor like this, he worriedly suggested to Zhang Yang, “Should we advise Eka? He’s already played very tired this season, hopefully, he doesn’t practice himself into an injury.”

Zhang Yang shook his head, “Let him vent a bit, it’s just free throw practice, he knows his limits.”

As long as it doesn’t involve gaining weight, Zhang Yang is not worried about Okafor’s health at all.

The original Okafor, gained weight to 127 kilograms in his second year, suffered a major injury and missed a year and a half, causing his athletic ability to plumt. His previously decent shooting within the three-second area and promising mid-range shot, which had started to show improvent, were all ruined due to the drop in explosiveness, switching to a purely defensive role as a doughnut center. But after his weight went down, he played full seasons for 3 consecutive years.

After turning 28, his athletic ability further declined with age, and his performance dipped again during the shortened season when he suffered a severe knee injury and missed another ti. But after returning, he adapted to the new physical conditions, and in the 12-13 season, had a relatively impressive season, averaging 25 minutes with 9 9 data… From the perspective of adapting to one’s bodily changes, he did have a bit of a ‘Little Duncan’ feeling.

However, things went unlucky, in the sumr of 2013, he had discomfort in his waist, was sidelined due to a herniated disc, and retired due to injury.

In conclusion, the chain reaction started because he crazily gained more than ten kilograms to deal with Howard during his second year, causing knee injuries, leading to a series of subsequent effects that turned a rookie season center who averaged 15 11 and had all-star potential into a purely defensive role player.

Felton was stunned upon hearing this and asked, “Does this count as venting emotion too? If venting emotion, shouldn’t it at least involve buying so bottles of wine or finding a few college students?”

Zhang Yang: “…Boss, I’m only 19 years old, please don’t teach bad things.”

Felton looked at his little brother with a strange face, “You, a rich kid who was interested in soone’s big sister at 15, went to their ho to steal her, had a face-off in basketball and lost so you beat up their little brother, need to teach you bad things?”

Zhang Yang: ???

No way, have these ridiculous rumors evolved to this version now?

With the NFL finals concluded and the NBA All-Star Weekend about to begin, the attention of sports fans in North Arica has turned to basketball.

On the morning of February 11, the Chicago Bulls arrived in Charlotte, attracting the attention of most basketball fans.

Tomorrow, the Bobcats and the Bulls will face off in the last ga of their half-season, serving as the league’s main promotional event for the All-Star Weekend.

This year being an Olympic year, Stern sees it as a crucial period to further expand the market in China. Yao Ming joining the Bulls, a team willing to spend big on contracts and pay luxury tax, makes him very happy. Moreover, Yao Ming now in the East ans he can face Zhang Yang four tis just in the regular season!

This season, the Bulls and the Bobcats have four gas, three of which are scheduled at key ti points—Christmas, the half-season finale, and the regular season finale, with the other one scheduled for the end of March in the season’s final sprint. Each ga is full of hype.

Stern has been buying press releases in major newspapers, TV stations, and websites to promote this ga. The attention on tomorrow’s ga between the Bobcats and Bulls is continuously rising, but… so teams have co out to ‘steal the spotlight.’

Approaching noon, two blockbuster trade deals grabbed the fans’ attention.

The Phoenix Suns sent Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks to the Miami Heat in exchange for Shaquille O’Neal.

The Toronto Raptors sent TJ Ford and Rasho Nesterovic to the Pacers to get Jermaine O’Neal in return.

This season, O’Neal, despite averaging only 14 points and 7 rebounds and not making the All-Star team for the first ti in his career, is still the Big Shark, and the attention remains explosive.

Additionally, another O’Neal being traded adds even more buzz!

Importantly, both of these trades are highly controversial.

The Suns play a run-and-gun style, and the Raptors have been focusing on a light and agile offense this season, yet both teams traded for stationary big n…

In Charlotte, Yao Ming and his wife were visiting Zhang Yang’s ho, and during lunch, they also discussed these two recent trades.

Yao Ming: “It’s a pity, O’Neal went to the West, so now I have fewer chances to face him.”

Zhang Yang: “You an fewer chances to beat him up, right?”

Yao Ming: “Haha, yeah, just when he’s getting old, I happened to co to the East, and now he’s off to the West.”

Zhang Yang: “Hahahaha…”

Yao Ming: “It’s a sha for the Suns, losing soone as suitable for Nash and the Little Dominator as Marion and getting in return a center who can’t run. I would never go to the Suns; I’m just not suited to their style of play.”

Zhang Yang: “For the Suns, getting O’Neal is a disaster, but for O’Neal, it’s a blessing.”

Yao Ming: “Why?”

Zhang Yang: “Don’t forget, Thomas is the head of the Suns’ dical team.”

Yao Ming: “Ah, right, with Thomas treating him, he might be able to recover his health.”

Thanks to Zhang Yang’s introduction, Thomas Carter gained a new client, Yao Ming.

This season, Yao Ming managed to return to his health levels of the early years of his career, playing 46 out of the first 51 gas, only missing 5, losing 8 kg, reducing his playing ti to an average of 32 minutes, and usually only playing 25-30 minutes against weaker teams. Very crucially, Thomas Carter’s maintenance of his body and advice on his playing style played a significant role.

Zhang’s mom chid in: “O’Neal is lucky, but Jermaine O’Neal and the Raptors are unfortunate. Jermaine O’Neal doesn’t fit with the Raptors, and the Raptors, who focus on fast and light offense this season, don’t need Jermaine O’Neal. I don’t know what they’re thinking.”

Even Yao Ming was puzzled: “I can understand the Suns swapping for O’Neal. They’ve been doing run-and-gun for years without winning a championship. Their managent and owner want to bet on whether playing a half-court ga could win a championship, even though it looks foolish… but at least there’s so logic. The Raptors are on the rise, with Ford, Bosh, Calderon, Kapono all from the 2003 class, Bargnani from 2006, and young players like Delfino and Moon. If they just wait two more years, they could definitely grow stronger like the Magic Team. Suddenly sending away Ford and Moon is baffling.”

Zhang Yang: “The Raptors’ managent is very ambitious. They want not just to play in the playoffs but to win in the playoffs. Maybe they aren’t satisfied with the current roster’s potential, and they are impatient and do not like to develop rookies. They just like to have players like Carter who are already at star level coming into the NBA. Perhaps they believe Jermaine O’Neal, who is only 30 and plays a floor-based ga, can form the strongest twin towers with Bosh over there? The coach probably wasn’t even aware of the trade; otherwise, they wouldn’t have been purely playing an offensive style this season…”

For the mid-season trade window, Zhang Yang and Yao Ming were rely spectators.

The Bulls have a complete roster now, and trading Ben Gordon for Yao Ming turned them directly from a 50-win second-round team to the top contender for the championship. Unless necessary, they won’t make any trades, at most, tweak the rotation at the end of the bench.

The Bobcats this season are mainly building their offensive system. If it weren’t for Brad Miller’s suitability to act as their tactical core and his ability to help develop Millsap’s facilitation capabilities, they wouldn’t trade either.

Even showing peak performance in the early season, averaging 20 10 with Jamison’s inside-outside ability; or averaging 14 11 with a three-point shooting percentage of over 40% and facilitation passing ability of over 2 assists per ga with Troy Murphy, they would trade. But either the Wizards and Pacers are asking for an exorbitant price or just hanging up on Jordan….
